I know this is pretty gross, but I was cleaning the fridge this morning and found alot of expired containers of plain and flavored yogurt... I personally don't eat it (my teenager was on a healthy binge this past summer)... can I do anything with it? Or will someone get sick? The containers are still sealed and I opened one and it does not smell bad nor have anything growing on it...hate throwing food away, but if it is too risky, then....
call the company and ask. A good many things are good way beyond the date.
A few days and I would still use it but more than that , I'd be throwing it out
Next time, put the containers in your freezer before the expiration date. It thaws okay
It's also delicious as frozen yogurt! We keep a few containers in the freezer all the time to eat as a treat.
If it is really over the expiration date, I would probably throw it away.
This is a great website to have on hand for this type of question. I have it saved in my favorites.
