Hi there all, greatly enjoyed reading all the posts, what a fun bunch you all are, it makes me feel like "family", so that can only be a good thing.
We had all seasons today, it started off warm, then became overcast and cooler, then warm again and back to a cool wind off the sea! now I think it just might rain and we cannot get enough of that.
So much for my restful night!! I woke for a bathroom visit at 2am, then for some reason decided to check out the window and could not believe my eyes! there down the road a bit, I could see flames!!! I thought it was someones fence or hedge, so I called 000, I told the fire dept. I did not know what it was exactly, but the flames were increasing with the wind.
Anyway, a fire truck came and it was put out very quickly and it was only this morning when I walked past to go to work, that I saw it was their garbage bin!! So not sure how it went up, either someone has done it, or they put things in the bin they should not have! but all was well, no other damage to property.
Pat-- send those CC police!!! please! ha ha, then I could be kidnapped to Canada!! yippee!!!
Aleida--ofcourse I am biased! haha, aren't we all, I cannot imagine anyone leaving coal in their shoes or bringing the birch, I think that is what they did. [:'(]
YF-- we thought it great too, as kids to get gifts, growing up in Scotland we had the shoe on the 6th, then still were allowed to hang up a stocking for 25th, when we got things like fruit etc. so two traditions for us.
In case I cannot get time to come in here tomorrow (Friday), I will let you know now, that I will be leaving on the train again, straight after work, heading up to my youngest son and two little DGS's and will be home again Sunday evening, so take care everyone, enjoy your weekends and stay safe and well on those dangerous roads.
Gramma youper, thoughts and prayers go with you, I hope Joe has a good recovery after this recent surgery.

Hi Lotte. Off for another weekend with your family. Enjoy it. How long is the train ride?? What good book will you be reading as you go???? All that rain doesn't sound like fun to me, but you say you need it so let it rain. BTW -- I don't think that we NEED snow so don't be singing back at me. Kay? LOL Have a great weekend.

G'day Lotte!! it sounds like you are heading out for a weekend of pure enjoyment!! I love to travel by train, just love it. it is really expensive here, i wish they would make it more affordable.

Lotte, just thought I would let you know that Il Divo are coming to Kelowna, British Columbia, in May 2009 (28th I think). They are touring quite a few Canadian cities starting in April.
