    Good morning ladies,

On tv they reported excessive heat for the next few days. This afternoon it will feel like 45C. The rain we got yesterday was a blessing all together we got 1.5 inches. I certainly cant live with this heat anymore, our a/c runs 24/7 I'm afraid to see our next hydro bill.

Char, I'm excited for you to move into the mobile home. Your home at last and good they didn't charge more than quoted. I bet Dan must be very happy to live on your own, living with someone else is not the same even if its your mom.....no privacy. How are the kids?

Eija, hope very much that your rain will stop, now the time for it to dry out will be in order. Sorry for the mess my friend.

Pat stay cool, and drink lots the choice is yours.

    Have a nice day,

    YF

Good morning ladies...I see blue sky! We sure got rain yesterday..enough to bring the river up again. Not lots, but it is up. Not so good.

I can't see our basement being back to normal for at least a month. I hope not so long, but the ground water has to go down a lot for it not to be streaming into the basement. I want to start sucking up some of the water though. Mildew is starting, and I don't like that at all! Will see what dh figures we can do already. Then I need to research the best cleaner. I heard bleach, but then I heard that is not good. So that is where the internet will help.

Maria, I am glad you got to be with 2 of your brothers yesterday. And I am thrilled that you got some rain. Plus I would certainly be using my a/c constantly with temps like yours.

I have a couple of errands to do this morning, then this afternoon, I have a dr's appt. Just routine...

Need to get my paperwork done for tomorrow as well.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

We got another inch of rain last night.  It didn't rain long but just pounded straight down with a little bit of hail mixed in.  Thankfully they were too small to do any damage though.   My garden is doing really good with all the rain and heat that we've been having.  I really need to get some weeding done but I will have to wait for my DS to come on Saturday to help me with that.  It is really hard doing nothing when you aren't used to it.  It will be another day of reading and computer games for me...

What a difference a couple of thunder storms made.  We had rumbling and a light show most of the night with rain coming straight down.  There are puddles on the lane this morning, the grass is starting to look green again with the dust washed off.  The temperatures aren't supposed to be quite as warm today either.  It is a good morning.

DH and I noticed the heads are starting to appear on our cereal grains.  The new potatoes are ready.  DH got an ice cream pail from one hill last night.  Yummy!!!  The garden will really jump now.

Heading to town this morning with a list of errands.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Good morning, another cool cloudy day, we will have to see what it brings.  I'm hoping for sunshine of course!  I don't know if any of you saw my pictures of yesterday, from the time it arrived, till I hosted a tea party!  Some friends came and helped us move stuff in and I got hungry and we found some tortilla chips and homemade salsa and some tea so that's what we had, along with a nice little candle!  Then when we were leaving there was a beautiful sunset, thought the phone did not pick up on the true colours of course!  The sunset was taken from my front door, a lovely view in mu opinion, it's just a grassy field, but it's private and so lush and green, I don't know if it will be turned into hay or not, but some of the grasses are up to my chest.

YF, the trailer is 14x70.  There is an entrance that is 14x16 to be put on the front yet, and we will build another addition on the backside and that will be 14x40 or somthing.  All in all, it will be the size of a typical small home, over a 1,000 sq ft, two bathrooms, four bedrooms living room, family room.  But the big addition we don't know if we will have time to build it this year or not, of course money is also an issue!  The small addition will hopefully be on very soon, we have to put in sauna tubes and let them cure and then move it to the trailer.

We will start living there today, Dan has the sewer hooked up and he had the water hooked up also, but needed to crimp one line and didn't have a crimper.  My SIL and I will go there and clean and unpack today, I have one cord of electricity there right now to boil water and plug in a vacume cleaner!

Pat, new potatoes!  Ohhh, I know we are not there yet, but it won't be long, we sure are enjoying our salad stuff and yummy strawberries though!

YF, I couldn't live in that heat either, at least with cold you can dress for it and build a cozy fire!  I love hot weather, but those temps are totally unreasonable!  Our water level is so high, and yours must be dangerously low I would imagine.

EMC, I know there is a product out there for mold, my SIL had to use it this spring on some camp trailers that were out in the bush all winter for the guys.  If I remember I'll ask her, it's certainly not bleach.
