Quick fly through.
No Maria.... I am home again. We took Tiffany home yesterday and came home again after supper. I have puzzles/soup/dessert today. I missed a get-to-gether last week for a retirement.... because I sort of forgot and came home from London one day later than I should have...this time I remembered and here I am.
However I am almost out the door to the car dealership because the car sent out the message about reduced pressure in the rear right tire and I am off to have it looked out... doors open at 8 a.m. and I want to be there at that time.
I had a very nice visit with Tiffany.... so very nice. She will be back for the next long weekend. Hope the weather in London and Windsor is nice over the next couple of weeks .... at least the next couple of days are supposed to be nice here.

It's going to get HOT (well above seasonal normals but not close to record breaking) again today. I do NOT cope well with high temperatures so I hibernate in front of the fan. I have a small one that gets moved to wherever I happen to be--kitchen, LR, laundry.
YF I don't have favorite TV shows. We only get one channel (CTV) so whatever it broadcasts is what is on. We mostly watch the noon and suppertime news
Mom had a fall early Sunday morning, hit her head and then laid on the floor for over an hour and a half before she managed to phone for assistance. She claims to be OK now but I want to see it with my own eyes. We'll be having a long chat on our next delivery day later this week.
Aleida nothing interesting at the garage sales but I did well at VV and the dollar store. Now to get the spray paint cans busy and hang some sun diffusing curtains and stitch some new cushion covers and....... When I head to town, I'm going to stop at the garden center to look for some ivies to create a living wreath.

Good morning ladies...from a sunny place this morning. Wow, we had a huge storm go through about supper time last evening. Winds to 90k, lots of places without power. We were very fortunate to not lose it, although it did flicker a couple of times. I kept watching the trees in the backyard and hoping that they didn't decide to come down...well, one of them anyhow. It is so huge! I would love to have it topped, but it would cost a lot of $$$, no doubt.
The water in the basement, we have a floor squeegee, and dh pushed as much of the water into the hole yesterday that he could. I helped with my mop, but it came right back in. I was happy though to get some of that old water out. I sprayed a lot of areas with bleach and water to try and kill mold bacteria that was growing. I will go back and do that again today. The river is down a lot, so we are just waiting for the ground water to go down a lot as well!
I am meeting a couple of friends for coffee this afternoon. I think I will go out this morning though. I made my jam yesterday and it didn't set. So I need another box of pectin to redo it. Need milk as well. Have bathrooms to clean, and wash the floors after I redo the jam.

It's hot hot hot here! Supposed to go to 34C today. 25 is more to my liking but oh well.
My DS came home for a few days to help me out. He cleaned out all the eaves troughs yesterday. We have a couple of pine trees that drop needles on the roof and plug up the gutters so it was a big job. Today I will get him to help me with laundry and maybe weed the garden before it gets too hot. He is so very helpful and doesn't complain about any job I give him :)
