Good morning ladies,
We are in for another heat wave, and need rain badly, if you got rain Pat maybe its on it way to On. but that will probably be northern On. only. We are way down south, across the river from Detroit. We didn't do much yesterday, took Lexi for a couple of walks. Had a little visit with DD, nice to chat with her.
Today yard work needs to be done the grass has grown quite bit, (err) not grass but weeds. Also will do some dusting, one can dust everyday, there is no end to them dust bunnies.
Try to stay cool ladies,
YF
Good morning ladies...warm in the house once again. We did get rain last night...there was a storm go through and it smelled so fresh outside when it was raining!
Hubby is getting ready to go downstairs to do some work. We have fans blowing..drying things up. All the baseboards came off yesterday, and now under those can dry up. We went to Home Depot to price out new stuff, and it looks like we likely won't have enough to apply for disaster relief really. That is good though.
DS took the kids camping for a few days. While they were out, dgs was picking up empty cans and one was in the firepit. The pit was still hot. His one hand got some burns on it, and his toes on one foot. Poor guy! He has a huge blister on his palm, and some smaller ones on his fingers. Not sure how his foot looks. DIL is going to take him to the dr today. DS had talked with a pharmacist about it, and was doing what he had been told to do...but dil will just go get it checked out. DS feels absolutely horrible about it!!
Maria, I am hoping that you get some cooler weather soon! I know how tiring the heat can be.
I have some laundry to do today, and whatever else I do downstairs. I don't know if I can really start much of the cleaning yet or not. Will see how it goes.
Hope you all have a good day!
Yes we had the rain in Sask all day yesterday and all night. It is a nice steady soaking rain which is good as things were starting to get pretty dry here after a week of heat. We have quite sandy soil so it drys out fast. I feel for you all in Ontario. We only had about a week of that heat and it was enough for me! I guess no place is perfect all the time!
I have a few projects I need to get to indoors and since it is still supposed to rain all day today I will try to get at some of them. Have a good one!
Aleida how close to the river will he put the sand? You have to be careful not to alter the shoreline as you can get into a lot of trouble for that at least here in Sask and I'm sure it is the same everywhere. Just a heads up for you :)
I don't know how close to the river RD. And it isn't that much sand that he bought... just some for some practice... and fun. When Tiffany was very young... almost 25 now... he brought a lot of sand down to the river so she could have a beach. Nothing was said at that time. I suppose there must be rules... don't know what they are though. This time he bought some bags of it.... that time he bought a load of it.... lot of work bringing it down to the river... I didn't help... too hard for me... now and then. But thanks for thinking of me.
This is on my front deck and it is snoop-worthy everytime you go by. Because it is so close to the door, it often gets another little bit of water.
