Good morning ladies,
July is just about over, seven months gone in a blink of an eye. There is no way to slow it down...that is what life is we are here only for a short time.
Aagin we didn't do much over the weekend, that is our life dull and boring...lol. André goes to the dr. today the cardiologist....we have only been waiting 3 months. Curious to see what he is going to say. I will let you know.
I have been planning to call Crea, and I always put it off, I'll try to call her today and ask if I can give out her address or email addy.
So Char should be back from holidays can't wait to hear about her trip.
Have a wonderful ladies,
YF
Good morning Maria and all who follow.
What a beautiful day yesterday. I spent the morning doing little jobbies. Made fresh hummingbird food and as I'm putting it out, I see the ducks have noticed me and are a-coming for their food. And then I see the bird bath should have a bit of a scrub and fresh water... and the blue jays want their peanuts... yes... I love the birds. I spent the afternoon on the deck stitching... and finished the birthday card pattern for Tiffany.
My poison ivy got to me yesterday... for the first time. So I had a nice bath, put on a large T-shirt of David's (really think that my dress touching the blisters was what started this irritation) and took a Benedryl... boy they really work. I was feeling great in no time. I took another Benedryl before bed and slept like a baby. I'm hoping that it will sort of be over by Friday.
Not too much planned for today... must enjoy this beautiful weather while it is here... as you state Maria... time flies and soon it won't be so beautiful. I think I will do some more stitching. I MUST finish this tree skirt for this Christmas. Tiffany got some cross stitch magazines from some one she knows in her apartment complex. I can't wait to go through them. She says there is a lot in them that she wants to stitch.... yup, just like her momma!!
Have a nice Monday everyone.
Good morning ladies. Going to be a lovely day here. Sunny and warm! Nice to have these days..we can see the river levels dropping daily. That means the ground water is going down.
Hubby is at work today. I have laundry to get done..bathrooms to clean. Also want to bake some ginger cookies, and maybe a carrot cake. Also need to go out and get some milk..and a few other things for the trailer.
Other than that, will putter around..and accomplish whatever I can.
Maria, good thoughts for Andre for his appt.
Aleida, I did a few pieces of cross stitch about 25 years ago, but found it so piddly..I just didn't have the patience for it.
Hope you all enjoy your day!
Good morning everyone! I'm back at home, time to go back to work, I've got clients waiting for me. How was the trip? Well, I spent the first half of my trip sick, It started off at home with the aches and pains of a typical cold. But when I got to the different air of Alberta, I started hacking badly. I got cough syrup that the pharmasist recomended, but it barely helped. I would sometimes start coughing so badly I could hardly breath. Once we got back into mountain air, as long as I was vertical it was okay. We spent three days at the best ever hot springs in Nakusp. The moist air was so good on my lungs. We love Halcyon Hot springs and will recomend it to anyone. We stayed three days because just before we got there we lost our truck breaks! Fortunately when pulling a trailer you have trailer breaks, but going thru the mountains you don't want to go far likke that. We stayed at the resort and the staff there was so helpful. The one lady phoned into town (20 minutes away) and found the part we needed and got it sent from Kelowna and it was delivered the next day! Fortunately Dan was able to put the part on himself with the tools he brought. And the price wasn't too bad. All in all we spent under $500 in repairs this trip, less then one year when we lost our brakes!
So I did see Claire and her family! I went to her house for an evening visit. They are doing okay, she is doing a bit of driving occasionally when she feels good. Girls are growing. She does have some horses and a cow just had a calf. She has laying hens and wants to get more animals again, so that's good.
The driving was some of the best part of vacation, new scenery for us, we've never gone on part of the roads, so it was nice, so amazingly beautiful thru the majestic mountains of BC and Alberta. Then in Kamloops Eija and her husband came and suprised us with a box of wood for our campfire and a loaf of zuccini cherry loaf! Excellent! It was great meeing them finally after being so close but never meeting!
I'll probably write more, but I have to go to work, I"m also picking strawberries today for making jam. It will be a busy monday for sure. And we got our puppy, she thinks 4:30 is play time, the people we got her from warned us!! We also had/have a mouse in the house! I found one and got it out but couldn't kill it. I think there is another one. The field next to our place the hay was just cut and the mice had to find a new home, appareently our place was closest!
Good Morning! After an amazing display of lightning and loud thunderclaps early this morning we have sunny skies and 24 C
Good to see you back, Char. Despite that nasty cough, it sounds as though you still had a great holiday. Where are those hot springs located? Enjoy making your jam.
Wishing Andre our very best as he continues to deal with his heart problems. (((YF)))
Off to put my head under the tap. i look like a scarecrow!
Hi guys,
As you know André had a triple bypass in 09, and now he has blockage again. In Windsor they tried to open up the ateries, but too risky, that is why they referred him to London, and London refused to do it. Now today the cardiologist told us to leave well enough alone, sometimes the phycian has to make a decision to do the right thing for the patience. He told him to start walking, that should help the excercise and to keep taking the medication. What else can we do???
I mowed the lawn today, pulled the weeds from my tiny garden. The soil is so dry, no moisture.
Char, so happy you are back, you were missed. Love to hear all the stories about the kids. A mouse in your house ewww, they scare me, happy for the kids to get Jasmine a very good looking dog. How is Dan, back at work? Too bad Char that you were sick during your vacation, that is no fun. Good that you got to visit Claire, I wish she would post and let us know how things are going for her.
Thank you ladies for your concern for André, he appreciates it.
Aleida, yes like mother like daughter, you are the same in many ways. BTW you are lucky to be sitting outside in the shade, all we have is sun.
Angela, is there an improvement with Ray everyday?
Pat, is gone camping but I don't know when she will be back. Hope Pat/Larry are having a good time.
Eija, I seen on the news that it is hot in BC even in the far north of Yukon/NWT.. I think in years to come the world will reverse itself. The north will become hot and the south cold....what do you think of that?
RD, one of these days I will send you a PM.
Noudder, if you look like a scarecrow, post the picture.
We're back.
Had a great time until it got so hot without any breeze. I parked in the camper in front of the fans. The water pump gave out just after we arrived so it must be repaired before the next outing.
Time to unload and get some supper.
Will be catching up tomorrow.
Welcome back, Pat! Sleep well tonight!
