Good morning ladies,
Hope everyone is doing great this morning, I all ready went for a walk with Lexi. We walked a mile and a half. All that before my coffee, boy do I need one now.
Today we go see the Diabetic dr. for André, just his three month check-up. He really brought down his blood sugar, but is taking quite a bit of insuline. 20 20 20 42. I find they are high numbers.
Aleida, yes sometimes the BB does give us a hard time, by being slow or sending our post into cyber space. What other site do you visit|?
Char, so happy to hear you had a great time at the beach the water must be so clean/clear. Jazz does sound like an awesome dog, they sure love attention and give it back tenfold. They need their humans, food, and water. Now you have to catch up on cleaning for your clients, that is what happens when you go away. Good that the kids are taking swimming lessons, you would feel much safer if they know how to swim. I don't even know how to swim or skate or roller blade, but I do know how to ride a bike ...lol.
Pat, what are you doing now? Has the harvest started yet?
Have a good one ladies,
YF
Good morning.
I am going to drive Tiffany home today and return tomorrow. David doesn't work on Friday... I suppose it will be back to working on the bedroom. Mostly I just do the little stuff... David does most of the work.
Lovely day yesterday. It tried to rain... and did... the tiniest little bit. Last night David had darts and I went thrifting. I bought a sweater (cardigan) that I really liked. David saw it and said "Spiderman". Tiffany agreed. Alright... so how am I supposed to enjoy wearing this sweater now??
Maria, I also visit BYC.... I know they are affiliated with TOH, but somehow they don't seem to be as bad. I also like to go to 123stitch. I enjoy looking at all the finished projects. They are very quick... I think one reason might be that they only save posts for five days after the latest post on any thread. TOH has years of posts that can be accessed... but I don't know... I am only guessing??? There is also a knitting site that I like to visit from time to time (not Ravelry --- although I like to visit there also) ... again to look at finished projects... it is amazing what some knitters can accomplish. My mom was one fantastic knitter also.
Yesterday I kept getting an error message... do you want to send??? and resetting messages and.... slow.... even had one that the time had elapsed so... when my post disappeared with an error message... I had had enough. So far this morning... no problems at all.
Have a great day everyone.
Good mornming. I stayed in bed since Dan got up to go for coffee with the boys. I made his lunch last nigt5. Unfortunately I wasn't able to sleep as Jazz didn't like going outside knowing there had to be more people in the house! Dan should have spent even five minutes calming her. In the morning she wakes up in a total frenzy and needs to be calmed. Once I got up and calmed her, she has just been laying on the mat next to the door quietly. Grrrr, I'll have to tell Dan she needs to be calmed, she was frantically trying to get into the house by scratching the door down!
Zac, what a boy. Oh he pulled a "proud" mother moment. When we went for our first swimming lessons we pull up to the house and the lady was picking rasberries next to where we parked. Zac looks at the huge house, gets out and exclaims "Wow mom, they must be millionairs!!!" I actauuly don't know if she heard him or not! Then yesterday I took them inside to see the aquirium which is full of ocean fish, and Zac says "see, I knew they were millionairs!" He thinks millionairs are so cool. Well, they are millionairs of course, but lets not shout it out!!!
Today I go clean (for the milloionairs! lol) at the airport. Getting ready for the airshow this weekend. We can't attend the airshow for we have an out of town family camp, out in the Rockie Mountains on a Glacier lake, brrrr! Tomorrow I clean for the doctors. Then I'm caught up, but then we leave for a week to help at the bible camp. then I'm all behind again.
YF, those numbers don't mean anything to me. I just know what number his sugar levels should be when he tests. Can you get him to walk with you and Lexi? I suppose your like me and walk to fast for your husband!
I really should go to work!
Good afternoon, CCers! It's been a while since I've stopped in, so I took some time to read previous posts. Welcome to Roxy and craftygranny, it's good to have new voices here!
Summer is going quickly and slowly at the same time. Recovery is going well (from my back surgery) and I'm walking 5 or 6 km a day now. I can sit longer too, so my study time has picked up. For the most part I enjoy it, but its a stretch being a student again. I don't think I like the online discussion part of this class, but it too shall pass......in 3 more sessions! Rain, rain and more rain. Last week I wrote a letter to rain and posted it on facebook:
I'm trying to do a bit of sewing as well, but find that tugging large projects around bothers me some (like putting the binding on a queen size quilt). But I'm glad I did that one, its for a friend at work who's mom made the blocks and then passed away before she finished it.
Soon my house will be very empty indeed. Both girls move the end of August, one to Regina, one to Medicine Hat (going home for her) and its looking like DH will be changing jobs and be out of town Monday to Friday! Oy, if I really am off work for another 6 months or so, I better be coming up with things to do on my own.
My flowers have been beautiful, especially my lilies. Tomorrow I will try to post a few pics of them.
Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible and believes the impossible.
It has been one of those days. Thanks to my dh for being so understanding and helpful. I have been trying to get some baking done for the farmers market tomorrow and wouldn't you know it. One fail after another. On a regular day it would not be so bad but when it is for sale it has to be top notch. I probably have enough cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers that the baking would not be missed but I am trying to get a name for myself so the customers have something to keep buying even after the veggies are done.
I do have enough to fill the table now though and very grateful that dh was such a help with cleanup, over and over again, as I refused to give up. But there was a time today that I actually asked my husband if I really could could or if I had just imagined I was up to now. Thank heavens things turned around and now I have stuff that not only tastes good but also looks good.
The birds are starting to flock. I hope that does not mean bad news. It has been such a strange year for weather already that I guess nothing should surprise us now.
I need to get off to bed early tonight and then get an early start tomorrow because the beans are ready and still have to pick for fm in the afternoon. We only sit for 2 hours so that is not bad
