Good morning ladies,

I tried to get on here several times yesterday but something always happened. Will you forgive me...for not starting the post yesterday?

Our DGS is here right now he stayed overnight and slept with me. He is such a good boy has a heart of gold. He would help anyone who needs it.

High-Hope how nice of the people at the shop to fix the trailer and no charge...we don't hear of that too often anymore. In future I would go back to them and use their services.

CG, my grandfather was a very smart man, he used his words about working to live, not living to work. Some people do live to work. Do you work at the school? If so what do you do? I also use aleve for my lower back, sometimes it aches so bad, have lived with this for 47 years. Its arthritis and wear 'n tear on my spine. Also age...lol.

Pat, it's not always easy being with your spouse 24/7 hehe. But I go do my own thing and André watches TV he is in his own little world. How do I find your farm on youtube, let me know please want to see it.

Eija, both you and DH are always busy with household chores, repairs, painting  and the usual duties. Yes when I mow the lawn I can't stop sweating for awhile. Its a good thing that your DH can do a lot himself because when you hire someone lots of $$$$$$.

RD, I get migraines too, wow they are very painful, and annoying. Hope you feel better soon.

Angela, we all have off days and Ray is no exception. Again sorry for not coming here yesterday. Everytime I tried something happened. Its nice just to sit and do whatever, crossword or sudoka.

Noudder, I don't like zucchini either although I had zucchini bread once and it was delicious, nice and moist.

Day 3 and I think I may have this headache licked.  We'll see as the day goes on.  I have a lot to get ready before my trip tomorrow.

I love Zucchini.  This is my favorite way to use it.  Saute with some onions and garlic in a little bit of butter.  When they are almost done (you don't want to cook them to mush) I add cut up tomato, sprinkle on some freshly ground pepper and then cover with some cheddar and mozzarella.  Cover and cook on very low until the cheese melts.  It is oh so yummy!

Yes YF of course we forgive you!  None of us makes it here everyday without fail like you do!  I was just thinking that maybe you were going to be away and I missed it.

Good morning from a nice temp BC!  Phew, I think we survived the hot summer and are now into the more normal late August temps once again.  We do need rain, but I'm okay if it holds off till next week.  We have our youth campout this weekend and we sure would like sunny weather!  I'm hoping we have a good turnout for this camp.  It would be a bummer to have only a handful of kids after all the work we have to do for it.

I've got cleaning to do today and swimming lessons right after lunch.  Then I'm going to sit on the chair and call our youth parents and get some real numbers for the weekend, I can't shop until I know numbers.  I also have some serious cleaning to do around here, but that gets shoved aside, but I do have to bake some stuff, bread and maybe some cookies.  Kaeli can do the cookies.

Craftygranny, where in northern BC are you going?  I'm curious cause most people don't actually go to northern BC, they call my area northern and it's actually central.  Curious if your around my area?  Anywhere near Prince George?

Yesterday we went to church, came home for a quick lunch, then floated down the river with friends, then went to my mom's for supper, then went to our friends house later.  By the time we got home our poor puppy was beside herself!  She has never been left alone that long and she missed us so badly!  She actually made us laugh, but I felt sorry for her.  She has been by our side since we got her, so this was a new experience.  The only time she's been left alone has only been for maybe 3 hours at a time.  She's already getting so big!  Training very quicly, but has some serious ADD issues at times, lol. 

Dan and I work to live.  But most of his family live to work.  Yet are no better off then us, hmmmm.  Some of his family is very materialistic and have to have the best of everything, or at least want the best.  Dan and I are content with what we have.  We definetly don't need to drive brand new vehicles or have big fancy houses.  Now we have the options of doing stuff that we want to do.  But I bet some of his family doesn't understand why we would take an entire week of work off to go donate our time and work somewhere else for free when we could make money.  But working at the teen camp last week was amazing and we loved it and want to do it again.  I believe that though the reward isn't financial there are so many other rewards that come from doing it that by golly, we got the better end of the deal!!

Good afternoon everyone. Just have a couple of minutes here. We are headed over to my dad's for afternoon coffee.

Hubby is home today still..back to work tomorrow. He just has the baseboards to paint in the hallway...then we can put the carpets back in there. Baseboards in the bedrooms need to be painted as well. Not sure when those will be done. We had to buy paint to do some touch ups where the painters painted for us in April. The walls got banged up a bit when we were moving furniture around before the flood.

We were out this morning to return some wood to Home Depot. That helps with the bill when you don't need all of the wood you buy.

We are under a severe thunderstorm watch here. Not unexpected when it has been so hot around. Firewatch is continuous for the forest service. I have been hearing the "water" bombers going out all day again. I put water in " marks because they don't use water...just fire retardant.

Good afternoon. Just in town at DBil and DSil, using their internet to check my assignment board for class. Others have posted now, so saved them to my computer so I can think about my replies. I understand we are all different ages, stages of life, different backgrounds, but I think it interesting that of 5 female students, 3 picked essays on legalizing prostitution!!!  Will be interesting to read their views, didn't now, just saved their writing.

So far so good this trip pain wise, but a bump on a bridge between two holes on the golf course this morning de-railed that.....DH slowed down but not enough and OUCH! So a quiet afternoon visiting is the answer. Very thankful we have a/c in this trailer, can't believe how much camping we did without it when we were younger, lol!

RD, get better soon, you need to enjoy your days away. Hope everyone's DHs get to feeling better too. Hang in there ladies, I know these days are trying but you are a great support to them. I'm on their side of the picture this year, and appreciate my DH and all his help.
