A beautiful Hibiscus
Good morning ladies,
A nice morning, cooler of course but I don't mind at all. Yesterday I did paint the second coat in the kitchen. Gosh my muscles were aching and still feel it today. It looks nice and refreshed the look. Today I will clean and do laundry, and tomorrow a lazy day as far as I know.
Took our DGS to the orthodontist and out for breakfast, after that he had to go to school. He is one boy who does not like school, I certainly hope he will change his mind.
Have to go and get dressed to take Lexi for her walk, will be back later.

This recipe is T&T many times over. Infact, my sister made this, gave it to my mom, who gave it to me, I made it for Claire. My best friend makes it. And when my mom and I used to cook at the Cafe this was one of our popular requested soups
Zucchini Chowder
2 med zucchini, chopped
1 chopped onion
2 tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. basil
1/3 cup margarine
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
3 cups water
3 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 pkg.(10 oz) frozen corn
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups cheddar cheese
Sauté vegetables in butter till tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Stir in water. Add bouillon cubes and lemon juice. Boil for 2 minutes. Add tomatoes, corn, and milk. Simmer for 5 minutes. Before serving, stir in cheeses.
Another cold beautiful morning. Must enjoy our last few days of summer, for it looks like it ends on Tuesday. I'm going to be so sad to see it leave us, but we've had a good one for sure, this is an amazing Indian Summer (let's hope that word isnt censored!)
Tonight we take the youth to PG to go swimming, I'm expecting at least 35 kids, but I've been wrong before, so we will see. I know the kids are excited to go out of town again, they love out of town events. And it goes late of course, we ride on the bus (might take my van alsIo) and just all around FUN for teens.
I'm done work till October now, hope to get lots done around here, but also some time to sit and relaxe a bit! will see how that all goes. Havent had a week to myself since I don't know when, whoohoo!

Afternoon everyone.We have been out shopping. Went to Zellers to see what kind of deals we could find. Did pick up a few things for dh, but really there will be much better deals to come yet,I think. Also stopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond to pick up a kitchen item that I wanted. Had the 20% off coupon to use there too.
Am improving slowly. I undressed myself last night, and got my nightie on alone. THis morning, I managed to get my clothes off too. I know it doesn't sound like much to you, but to me it is a lot. Still struggle with dressing during the day though. I also could undo my seat belt in the car today..first time for that too!..plus I opened the car door outside. Small steps...

So Skittles the black and white cat has finally decided she not only likes me, she loves me and wants to be on me and purr and be crazy! Okay, I may eventurally be able to like her, she was such a dramma queen when we first got her that we didn't know how long she would be with us.
Serving hot dogs, Mr Noodles and making salmon melts for suppepr. Got to leave for the church early so we can collect the money from the kids and count them and hit the road for a night out!
Good morning. I really stitched a lot yesterday. I finished the scarf and the earmuffs.... the earmuffs were horribly boring ... only two colours and not much to them. I also started on the hat. That will take more than one day to finish for sure. David went to the hunt camp yesterday and will return today some time. They are supposedly cleaning up some ... certainly can hope they do ... and they hope to get out for a bit of a bird hunt. If he were to bring me home a partridge ... or two ... I would be a very happy person. I think I am going garage saleing again ... but by myself today. Sadly there are not too many of these days left.... boohoo. But I say "think" because it is wet outside ... so to go or not to go. I think I will go ... but a wee bit later ... and if no one has their stuff set out ... I will do a couple of thrift stores. I am reading about the stashes that people are finding ... so maybe the trend will continue my way. Although I cannot complain ... it has been a good year in yard saleing for crafty stuff. I did get some real bargoooooons this year. Have a nice day everyone. Aleida
