Good morning Maria and all who follow.
It's a wee bit wet today and certainly cooler ... supposed to warm up again tomorrow ... weather person actually said that today will be blustery ... made me think of Winnie the Pooh.
Off to church today ... with a load of games and few other things ... can really see the difference up stairs ... but still have one small room ... full of toys and such ... hoping some day for Tiffany's daycare ... just leaving that room alone. Lots of good toys in there.
No stitching yesterday ... hopefully tonight. Not too much going on today ... hope you all have a nice day.
Good morning ladies....slept in till 6:40! LOL...like that is sleeping in.
Had a nice visit with Auntie S. yesterday. She is such a lovely person.
DH made 2 pear loaves and an apple dapple cake yesterday. They will get cut up and we will take them down to work today for the guys and gals there.
Think there is a load of laundry to do today too.DH got one done yesterday. Will have to look in the freezer to see what we want for supper tonight.
My days are still all the same. Watching dh work, and attempting to help him once in a while. Sometimes I just leave the room so he can work in peace with no "suggestions" from me. LOL
Hope you all enjoy your day!!
I have laundry ready to hang outside, potatoes boiling for a salad and then I am on my way to work today. 10-6 which is a pretty long day for me. It is a bright sunshiney day out there and I would much rather be working out in my yard. Oh well better go hit the shower.
We made a Peruvian Chicken recipe on the rotisserie on the BBQ yesterday. It was sooo good!
Did YF forget to come back and post today?
Good morning, and thanks for the birthday wishes. The morning isnt going too great. Dan wasn't thinking and he went outside and didn't take the dog with him, the dog had been inside all night, and just before Dan left, the dog pooped in the addition! Well, Dan cleaned it up, it was his fault after all! Now the dog is being a big brat to the kittens, terrorizing them, I rescued one, he is inside, and he is being overly friendly and won't let me do anything, he wants to be held, or else jump on top of everything! Animals!! One kitten is still outside, havent rescued her yet, but the dog is quiet now. All is well. Dan needed to gas up, but forgot his wallet! Now I have to go to town to bring him money, grrr.
I made vanilla cream coffee this morning, a big treat.
I woke Zac up, he heard the rain (we havent had really any rain since the first week of July) and he says to me "Mom, you need to buy me new snowpants!" Thanks for the reminder dud, it's only rain. Oh he can hardly wait to go sledding.
I'm making a pulled pork for tonight. I don't want to eat out in our town, we don't have any decent restraunts, I want to go to the Thai restraunt in PG. So pulled pork is yummy and easy, I just stuck a pork roast in the crock pot. I'm going to make my own sauce for it, a little of this and a little of that.
Eija, you now have a husband with a whole new set of skills that he probably never really thought about learning, it's good for guys to be self sufficient in the kitchen! My dad would try stuff in the kitchen whenever my mom was gone, which was almost never!
well, what to do today??
Good aftyernoon ladies,
I didn`t forget to post this morning, just had no time. Had to take Lexi for a walk and off to my DDIL to clean it`s was only an hour and a half I worked. The mornings are cool here, we just about turned the furnance on but didn`t yet.
Yesterday was a quiet day for us, a normal day for Sunday. Now that the hockey season started for our DGKids, they will be very busy.
Aleida, don`t think you will have many more days sitting on the back porch stitching. Maybe its over for you (being a little further north than us). Have a nice day at the church, hope they raise lots of $$$$.
Pat, hope by the time you go camping that you both will keep warm enough....too early for ice fishing. Those are huge potatoes you have, peel one for a meal...lol that is funny eh.
Eija, so nice of your Aunt to visit, and she sounds like a wonderful lady. My goodness is there nothing that Brent can make or bake.
RD, I have had pain pain since my teens...its a long story. We immigrated to Canada when I was 10 years old, and immidately we had to start working doing farm labour. All day standing bend over working in the fields, we did everything you can think of, but picking tomatoes was the hardest on my back. Sometimes my lower back would go numb, as I get older it seems to get worse, everyday it bothers me, especially when I get up first thing in the morning. I believe its degeneration of the disks also arthritis. It is something I have to live with....we all have our crosses to bear.
Where is Char is she celebrating her birthday
