New Canadian Corner 02/10/07
Good Morning CC Friends
Well here we are a whole new format for our Canadian Corner. Will be easier for everyone to find us.
Raining here, but my we are getting high temps. for the long Weekend.
Glad to see Laura found our new site. I e-mailed everyone that I had an email address for to tell them of the change.
Off to work this morning.
Hope you all have a great day.

Running Diva has a list of alot of CC posters and their home Province. Maybe we can get her to post it to the New Canadian Corner for those posters who are new to us.

RE: New Canadian Corner 02/10/07
Subject: Reiman/Fallguy THANK YOU for the new forums but could you please make a SWAP ROOM so we can get all the SWAP TALK OFF RECIPES?

Mary's Tea Room and The Canadian Corner are great additions and I know the people that frequent those rooms thank you for them. But to be frank, neither of those groups were as obtrusive to RECIPES as all these swap conversations are.
Granted Secret Sisters moved to the Hints and Tips section when they realized they pretty much obliterated any other type of conversation, but the rest of the swaps remain on Recipes and at times, that's all you can find on page one. (For that Matter the Healthy Choices group has done the same thing with the Cookware Section though that's no great loss.)
I know the Birds and Bloom side has their own Swap section but not everyone goes over to the B&B side. And to be honest, even if asked to do so, there are swappers here who would refuse to go over to the B&B side to do their swaps. For that matter, they've refused to move their swaps off of Recipes to one of the sideboards (and complained that B&B had a swap section why can't we?) So maybe if they did have their own swap section on this side they'd take all their swap talk over there and Recipes could get back to being primarily about recipes. Please?
Thank you

Good Morning to our new CC and Friends,
It's still dark out feels like the middle of the night. I have today off and always find things to do.
We had rain overnight and more this morning, will clear this afternoon.
I had a much better sleep in my own bed.
Yooper I wish I could see pictures of your house, I bet it has lots of character. Many memories of happy times and sad.
Crea, have a good day at work.
Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning!
It's a pretty mild morning here today - 16 right now, heading up to 19 with rain this afternoon. :(
It's sewing & laundry around here today - can't do anything too exciting you know. LOL Actually, my pnemonia is back (the first round of meds never got rid of it), so I really feel like camping out on the couch instead, letting the world pass me by today, but I can't.
Just a roast in the crockpot with mashed potatoes & gravy for dinner tonight.
Have a great day everybody!

Paulette you are really on the ball this morning. Have supper planned when I didn't even have my breakfast yet.
I guess your hands never stop eh, always doing something like sewing. Good for you, some people never stop working.

YF- have a good day doing whatever you like with this day off. Now I'm back at the grind after not having much work for the summer.
Paulette - goodness thats terrible having the relaspe. You shd be taking it easy, but heck I know you -thats not possible. LOL
Dinner sounds Yum - but you probably don't feel like eating much. Hope you get more meds and get rid of this crud.
I have more zucchini to grate once I get home today. Lots to do with the Long weekend coming up.

Good Morning everyone,
So this our new home!Looks a bit like our old one.LOL.Now I won't have to spend an hour finding the'corner'when I am away for a few days.
Its a laundry and lawnmowing day today.....who would think I'd still be mowing lawns in Oct.We have had to mow at least every 10days this summer!I know I should be thankful that we have had rain as some people on board had a very dry summer and lost their gardens and crops.I guess there is no happy medium these days.
Have a good day everyone,Boo

Hi Boo - sounds like you are having good weather for Oct. Your're right there will be some lawn cutting this month, I do remember in this life time we have had a good snow storm in October. Don't want it -

Good Morning ALL,
Well my quiet day just got busier! We have a staff memeber out sick and I have to fill in all her duties. I hope she is well soon. No fun being sick!
It was a beautiful walk to work this morning but they are calling for rain later today.
Sounds like everyone has another busy day planned.
Have a good one everyone!

Good morning!
I saw this site last night, but I just kinda scrolled through it. It will make it much easier and I think the Swap one should be here also. It would make the board much easier to go through.
Paulette, I hope your meds work soon, it's no fun to be sick.
Crea, to your question yesterday about whether I cook. Yes I do for suppers but this was a luncheon Banquet. And, boy did we get fed. I'm not used to eating such a big meal. Buns, soup, salad and the entree. And to top it off a rich dessert. Wine also.
Dolores, hope your Halloween Tree works.
Need to get that much needed coffee.
See you all later.
