Good morning Maria and all who will follow.
I don't remember Saturday morning cartoons... but I do remember Bugs Bunny & Friends on Saturday...at 5 p.m.
It is trying to rain.....drip......drip.....drip. So I hung out the laundry...nevertheless. I am of to yard sale in little over a half hour and I'm hoping for the best in the weather... for the laundry.... as for yard saleing.... it is all good.
Tiffany is visiting but she is not yard saleing with me ... at least not to start. She and David have business at the bank. I probably have to sign something also but that signature will have to wait because I don't do the signature thing on a summer Saturday morning.
Have a nice day everyone and please send the cool breezes to Ontario. Fan works but love the natural breeze so much more.
How is Lexi taking the heat?? Luke flops down for a rest... often.... but is still alert to any activity... little busy body that he is.
Good morning ladies,
We decided to stay home yesterday and will go to my neighbours cottage today. I talked to her and she said that it was too hot there as well. \everyday we are stuck in the house with the a/c running. I'm sorry for complaing but its not nice to live with 40 + temps everyday.
Pat, hope you get the much needed rains soon. I know our ground still has some cracks.
Eija, good to hear your temps are warmimg up this will give the ground a chance to dry up.
Aleida, how did you make out sleeping without a/c at Tiffany's? Happy shopping in New Market, hope you find some good bargains.
Angela, hope Ray feels better everyday and back to his normal routine. Your children don't live close, but I know they will be there when needed. All my best wishes for you and Ray.
Char, I am so happy for you that you are living in your own home, and away from the city. yes you will get used to the highway noise. Truck after truck, after awhile you will fall asleep with the trucks zooming by. In time everything will fall into place, and you will love living with nature...you lucky girl. May I move in with you? Much cooler temps.
Noudder, haven't had time to send you an email, but I will. Try to stay cool.
Have a good weekend ladies,
Lexi is not taking the heat very well, I bring water when we go for a very short walk.
I'm going to 'borrow' a page from Aleida's agenda and visit a few garage sales this morning. I'm keeping my eyes open for items to repurpose as storage/decoration in my sewing/craft space and a few items for my deck area.
I awoke to clouds this morning and the sky is getting darker. Maybe we will get a thunderstorm or at least a shower.
I think we'll take a day or two after our next delivery trip for exploring a new camping spot or two. We almost packed up yesterday but decided it would be too rushed and then we saw all the campers heading away for the weekend. Midweek might be better for us. lol
DH is off to town again and I'll be on my way. Different circles completely today.
Make the most of this summer Saturday.
Summer has arrived! Yesterday was only 2 degrees when we got up before 7 but today it's very nice, I went streaking in the yard at 6:30 and it was warm, the only reason was because my housecoat was still in the van from my last load yesterday! We got company last night, our first official company and so there were a few things still to unpack that we just left in the van. The lady fell in love with my kitchen, they also have a mobile home, and theirs is newer, but she likes my settup better.
Had to go to PG yesterday, on the YELLOWHEAD highway, sheesh! Trans Canada is not my road! But this is a major arterie of Canada that stretches across Canada, brining all the big trucks to the new port in Prince Rupert. Some serious idiot drivers yesterday, must have thought that they were king of the road, oh how I was hoping to see them pulled over by a cop! I had to get concrete stuff so Dan can pour concrete in this heat, you have to use special chemicals if you pour when it's this hot. It was 27º yesterday and getting hotter.
JP, you left your jacket at Old Dutch. I've never eaten there, hear it's good but extremly expensive.
The traffic noise doesn't bother me, certainly doesn't keep me awake, but when the house is quiet, then I really notice it. But like I said, it's actually a fair ways away! I'm guessing in winter when the leaves are gone we will hear even more, but then the windows will be closed and we won't be outside near as much.
YF, just dive straight into the lake. Is Ontarios lakes nice and clean? We have such nice clean lakes up here, mind you, this year they are high and seem a bit more mucky, but many lakes you can look and see way way down. Some lakes you drink directly out of the lake wihtout a problem. Those are the lakes where there are no homes anywhere nearby, which is most of the lakes!
One more week until holidays!
Good morning ladies. Going to be a warm day here today again. The a/c definitely was going yesterday right up until we went to bed.
I got the lawn mowed early yesterday morning..started at about 8. Best time to do it!
We went up to Costco last night. Ended up having a hot dog up there for supper. Not sure what I am up to yet today.
Hubby is at work today. It is our 33rd anniversary today. We decided last night not to do anything for supper tonight. I have some kabobs to bbq up, and bought some new potatoes yesterday, plus a few other new veggies.
Maria, I do so enjoy the pics each morning. Thanks so much for the smile. I hope you get some reprieve from the hot weather soon.
Enjoy your day ladies!
