Good morning ladies,
How is everyone this morning? It looks like rain here, they say 60% we'll see what happens.
Welcome back Pat, I heard that is it hot in your neck of the woods. Hope you enjoyed the camping time you had. I suppose back to work now.
Aleida, how is the posion ivy? André woke up to a rash last Friday and its spreading , it has blisters on it and they are getting bigger we don't know what it is. He doesn't go outside except to the car. I have been putting on neosporin. If it doesn't improve we'll go to the dr.
Have a wonderful ladies,
YF
Good morning Maria and all who follow.
It is puzzle/soup/dessert day for me. It was supposed to be on Thursday but I have to go to London so it was rescheduled... how very nice of the other two ladies.
The poison ivy... is just being poison ivy... not doing too much. I hope in a week's time that it will just be a memory. They are not itchy and they hadn't bothered me until Sunday... Benadryl helped big time. I still have blisters ... lots are weeping slowly... others are drying up... the worst is the under part of my right forearm because that arm goes everywhere and most of those blisters have been hit by something or other.
Didn't feel like doing too much of anything yesterday... and that's what I did... very little.
Hope you all have a nice day
Wonder what André's blisters are?? A mystery!!
Good morning,
It didn't rain a drop while we were gone. Our crops are showing the drought stress now. Our forecast is showing a chance of rain each day all week, but I'll have to feel it on my head before i believe.
We have another couple of inspectors planning visits this week so yes it will be busy. The contractors are expected back today too. I have paperwork , phone calls to make and grass to mow. I won't be hard to keep occupied. I'd like to keep an eye on some of the Olympics too.
Stay cool and enjoy your day.
Good morning ladies.
Maria, I hope that you can get André out walking with you. It may help him a lot!
I will keep getting things organized for in the trailer. We are leaving Thursday afternoon, so I need to have everything we need in there. Hubby takes care of his stuff and all the technical parts of the trailer. I take care of the food and inside of the trailer. We are looking forward to seeing the family!!
I did my baking yesterday. It is in the freezer, ready to go for the trip. Have to go out today and pick up some hearing aid batteries for dh..plus a few other things. Need to get my lottery tickets for 3 weeks! That should cost me a few pennies!!
Guess I should get busy.Hope you all enjoy your day!
Good morning,it's a sunny morning, but not hot, our hottest weather came while we were away, I"m okay with that, other then we missed the swimming pool time! Oh well, my kids will be getting swimming lessons probably next week, then in two weeks we are off to Bible camp for a week (same camp the kids go to) to hang out with a dozen teenagers and teach them to build. Should be interesting!! Today is coffee day, the girls are making a yummy buffalo chicken ring for lunch. I'll just be walking thru the bush to get there! I had to walk thru the bush last night, and trust me, that little strip of bush isn't fun at 11pm!! I'ts dark and scary in the bush all by yourself at night, but I needed to put my strawberries into the freezer that I had just picked!
Jasmine did so much better last night, she slept till almost 7!! No whinning or anything, now to get her to whine when she needs to pee, she peed on the floor again, thanfully hardwoood floors!! She isn't an indoor dog, but just for now until she is very comfortable with her new home. Maybe tonight will be the kennel.
YF, after reading about bypasses and how they often don't help, I think if Andre will start walking and exersizing that is the best option, but I know that's not somthing he really wants to do. I wish you the best in that, he has to want to be healthy, no one can force him. ((hugs))
Hot in the north? That's normal actually! People always think that going up north is going to be cool weather, well, people are wrong! It gets hot in the north! I was telling my SIL that we should go up north for a holiday, she said no way, she wanted to go where it was warm, even she thinks cool when she thinks north. When we were there it was very nice and warm and just when we were leaving it turned HOT! And yes, they have lakes where you can swim too.
I have to say that though we did have a good holiday, I don't think I would do another 2 week with Dan's brother and family. His wife likes the city, for her, holidays is about shopping and being busy. For us, it's about being outside where it is quiet and relaxing. We can go days without being anywhere near a city. We normally skirt around any cities. Our budgets were the same amount, but they only have 2 kids and one is under 2 so she is always free, so they had more spending money It's frustrating going with someone who just wants to do stuff that costs money. We are perfectly content to camp at a lake and just stay there, no entertainment needed, the lake and a campfire is our entertainment. So we are already talking about next year, and so far, I forsee quiet times. But we did see beautiful country, wow! It was a good holiday, but not as restful as we had hoped for, but then again, we didn't get to go to Fairmont as planned because just before we got there, they had a major mudslide and they evacuated and of course no one was going in!! We were so happy we weren't there, we missed it by a couple days. That was a big part of our plans, so I think that's why we did more city stuff, cause of lack of knowing what else to do spur of the minute!
JP, Halcyon is about an hour south of Revelstoke, you cross the Arrow lake on a ferry and go towards Nakusp. Check it out online, beautiful place!! Just off the Trans Canada.
Eija, enjoy your time with your family, I'm like you, I take care of the inside of the trailer.

I also wondered about heat rash where the waistband would chafe. I also am dealing with a slight heat rash. I find it helps to keep it dry, using a dusting of powder (I use baby powder) or cornstarch.
It is already getting hot and I have several more hours on the mower. I see a late night ahead--maybe even mowing with headlights. That would be a first for me.
LOL, Angela!
