hello I am brand new and signed up because I am cooking a cobbler and I do not know what the equivalent is in regards to a stick of butter melted- I do not have a stick of butter and only have a tub. So how much does a stick of butter melted measure? I am grateful for any help.

HI sunshine. Pleased to meet you. First, You will get an answer to this type of question much faster if you post on the Recipes forum. It's the area for most recipes and recipe type of questions.

A stick of butter is a half cup. Do Not melt your margarine. Use your dry measuring cup and level it as you would for flour or sugar. Then you can stick in the microwave to melt--not in the measuring cup or it will run over. A few seconds to soften at a time.
