Good morning, hot/humid once again, no relief in site, been 45 days since we've had any rain....terrible, just terrible.
Zora....well gag me with a spoon.....onion battered green beans, what on earth will they think of next?!!?!? Needless to say I don't think I'll try them....LOL! Oh yes....I'm the first to admit, Miss A is totally spoiled, thought I'd never be that kind of grandparent....but she proved me wrong...LOL!
Margaret...sure hope things get sorted out with your friends....sigh...always tough.
JP....so sorry to hear DGS had a set back....sending good thoughts for all concerned.
Rosie.....Ha....would have loved to see Sandi & The Blue Angels, I'm sure you're still reminding her of the situation....giggling all the time. Me? Get into trouble!?!? Seriously?!!?!? Brenda can attest that I've been minding my P's & Q's while you were out running around. Hmmmm....that reminds me, didn't see Brenda yesterday, where is the other third?
AnnB....your territory out there looks amazing. Talk about a bear on a tricycle....what a hoot!
Mabel....just bat those pretty eyes & I'm sure somebody will be glad to help you!!
Nan....thanks for posting the poem....I remember Mom used to say that.
NancyB.....I'm staying in the house today also....too hot for me out there. Wed. will be the day for me to get the color going on the hair....gets here pretty fast.
Mel....just so glad to know Miss J & her knee are doing so well, nice to have a friend to walk with.....makes it go faster.
Been in the kitchen this morning, fixed a rice dish for DH, also fixed him some cabbage, he says we've got corn out in the garden, while it's good, I just don't eat much of it. Said he walked his fields the other day....just not going to be a good year, corn & soy beans aren't producing a thing....get ready for terrible grocery prices.
Well, need to get off of here, have some ironing to do & need to sew a button on a pair of shorts for DH....groan...sewing ranks right up there with green beans to me. Then Zora had to go & talk about taking everything out of the fridge to clean it....yep, that needs to be done also. Sooo....will get off my duff & get busy. Hope everyone has a good day.
Brenda....you ok?

Pant, Pant, Pant, Pant. Afternoon everyone.
Well we finally are back home and hoping to "firm up" after doing the melt, cool down, melt, cool down thing.
Took the neighbor to the foot doctor this morning and then out to lunch to Red Lobster, she loves to go there. The waitresses all know us by name now. Then she needed to get the sticker for her license plate and we had to stop and get that for her. Dh told her he'd come over one of these days after it cools down some and put it on her license plate for her. I sometimes think that getting in and out of the heat is worse then just staying out in it. Thankfully there is a small breeze but the temp is already 97 and has been that way since shortly after noon.
Welcome back Tippy and Rosie.
Tippy sounds like you had an enjoyable time. I can "hear" the laughter in your voice.
Rosie aren't those mountains just a beautiful sight to see. Loved traveling thru NM. When we were in AZ we stayed in the Tucson area, it's surrounded on all 4 sides by mountains. Beautiful. Desert and mountains, can't get any better in my book.
Beverly glad to see you are feeling much better today. It certainly is hard to get anything repaired. This has become such a throw away society that even appliances are starting to become the same it seems. Most of the time it costs more to repair then replace. Unbelievable.
Cilla nice picture of the Blue Angels and the observation wheel. Navy Pier in Chicago has a very large ferris wheel that is in continuous motion, you get on and can see all the Chicago area and other parts as well. Dh being the "party pooper" that he is wouldn't go on it.
Now that I've managed to get nada done today, guess I'd better go "try" and do something.

Good afternoon ladies, Slept late. Then got up and dressed, went to town, paid a bill or two, picked up a package and had lunch. Home now and in my chair and chatting a while. Abbie snoring beside me. Heavy thunder somewhere sorta dark looking toward town. Guess I got home just in time. Looks nasty in that direction. Hope it doesn't come my way. Maybe it will go around.
Zora - Sounds like a great day planned. Enjoy every minute of it. Memories are a wonderful thing. $96 in nickles you can have a good time. Hope you win a lot. Shhh, trying to whisper real low, let me know how the beans are. Sounds good. You can come clean for me any time you want to . I will even come get you. Sorry the only way I want a cow is on a plate. I'm as scared of them as I am of a horse.
Margaret - How can anyone be rude to you. You are one of the most caring, loving, and helpful people I know. If she calls back, tell her you are busy and hang up. As long as you are happy with the decision you have made then that is all that matters.
JP - Glad to see you today. So sorry Little One is having a setback. Do wish he could be home with his entire family. Prayers continue for him.
Rosie - Good to see you home safe and sound. Got a well needed chuckle out of Trish and the Blue Angels. To cute. Beautiful picture. Beautiful state. Have seen part of it. Can't wait to see all the pictures you took.
AnnB - Sometimes I think they say a chance of rain just to keep us happy. Don't hear the thunder now guessed it moved on around us. We could still use rain even with what we have had.
Mabel - Are you looking for a kind man to restring the weedeater or to weed eat.
Nan - Couldn't remember the words to the poem either. Thanks.
Mel - Good to hear that Miss J's knee is doing good. Can't keep a good girl down. Oh I remember the days of church camp. So much fun. So long ago.
Beverly - Love the cartoon, that is to funny.
Tippy - With the exciting lives we all live if you go to many days you have a book to read. So glad you enjoyed yourself. Hope your weather wasn't so hot.
Penny - Didn't know there was any other kind of grandparent to be. So glad you missed me. And yes you have been good. I will go back and tell Rosie. Now, will you quit twisting my arm it hurts. lol lol Ya know we have been to good to long.
Nan - Don't ruin your day by doing something in the house unless it is take a nap.
See you all later. Stay cool if you can.
Brenda
Hi, CS.
Believe me, we have HOT, HOT, HOT weather. Heat Advisory for most of WI today and tomorrow. I did get out at 6 this morning to water the patio plants, but have been inside all the rest of the day. The heat makes me kind of logy and makes me feel like a slug.
Waving to everyone.
Hugs and prayers for all CS.
Nancy Z.
Good evening, snuggled in our chairs for the evening, DH taking a little nap, Ha, big surprise....NOT!
Talked to DD on her way home from work this evening...said she was soooo tired, guess the little darling got up at 6:00 this morning....DD doesn't usually get up till about 7:00, she wasn't real happy with the little Miss A.
Did good at WW tonight, down a little over a pound, didn't do so good last week, so now I'm back on track, even came home & had a cookie as a reward.
Brenda.....kind of hard not to spoil Miss A, she's just so darn cute. I'm sure it would be different if she was here all the time. Ha....oh yea, I was twisting your arm.....heck, somebody's got to stick up for me.
The Closer is on tonight, am going to miss that show, not many left.
Another hot day tomorrow, all week so the weather people are saying, can't wait for winter to get here.
Hope everyone has a good evening, see ya tomorrow.
Waving to all...had a meeting this morning and got too hot...dang...will this heat ever let up??? And we aren't even in the Dog Days of Summer yet!! OMG!!!
