    Checking in before the starts. Marti did a lot better with the necessities on this trip, no lull in pottying on the leash or eating. Guess she is a seasoned traveler now. Trish and the boys certainly are, they have toured America by plane and ended up in the airport in Dallas overnight. They should get here late this morning and then she and I will fly getting ready for the party. Thank goodness she is super organized and got the living room set up so all we have to do is put the food out after a quick trip to SAMs.. Did get a too short visit in with Beverly .... Someday we won't both be running and can have a fun day together. Sure do like that lady! Sandy, SAS are comfortable shoes that have support to them. Both my podiatrist and orthopedic doctor OK them. The kids call them " old lady " shoes but they are not clunky but cute and stylish and no 6" heels in sight. They are a bit pricier than some but last forever. My buckles need to be replaced for the second time, mainly because I don't put them on and take them off properly. They will supply the buckles and the shoe shop will replace them and clean them up for $18 a pair. Zora, any legless lizard, venomous or not, that lives on the same planet that I do puts me in eminent danger! Of a full blown cardiac arrest. Waving at the rest of you and sending hugs and prayers because YOU are loved!

    It is a gorjus day, sunny and cool.  I cleaned Kroger's out yesterday so don't need to go there for a few days so don't know what I will do.  With me I guess the shortest distance between 2 points is between me and the grocery store.  I go frequently cuz lettuce doesn't last long and mine never came up except for Arugula.  Bot'n lettuce doesn't last as long as the pkg says it will.

    I've never had SAS shoes but know they have an excellent reputation.  Everybody needs one pr. of great shoes.  They used to look like school marm shoes.

    I love green beans, esp if bacon grease is on them.  Yum.  NanB

    Good Morning in Ga!  Fog but will soon be gone.  Air Conditioning!!!  Wonderful!  Had it going by two yesterday.  Ran a couple of errands, visited Jenny and the kids.  Son came in about ten and will stay a couple of days.  We are dragging and talking this morning, have to get decent and do some errands this morning.

    Just had to share the cartoon above, isn't he the cutest little fellow?

    Everyone have a good day.

    ~~~~~~~GUESS WHO? ~~~~~ I'm back, hopefully still included in the CS family. I really did not drop off of the face of the earth. Of course running around getting Miss J. ready for her freshman year. You remember how exciting that was! And of course getting ready for Dance classes, shoes, clothes etc. Let's see, got a new computer desk so there was that few days of unplugged, and organizing stuff. I was a little afraid I might not get things plugged back in right so I took pictures with my phone of the back of everything. Worked great, Ken thought I was genious. I just let him think I was that smart. LOL.
    Mom and Dad are doing good. Tammy--furbaby is doing great now but here a week ago she would not eat, wasn't even acting like Tammy. She just seemed to be pouting and not even greet you with the normal excitement. The look on her face was pitifull. At first Mom thought maybe she was sick, NO---She finally thought maybe I need to change her food. Bingo-----I guess anyone would get tired of the same food for over 4 years. They don't let her have any people food except sometimes maybe a cracker. Kind of sad, she smells all of this wonderful food and it always taste like a cracker. Anyway, she is back to her old self.
    Hubby working 6 days a week for the last month. Glad the temperatures are a little cooler and thank you God for the rain. Sure is sad to see all of the places burning up.
    I have really missed all of my friends here. I certainly hope all is going well for everyone. I am sending a truck load of hugs and prayers for all. I think I am now to the point of being back on a regular schedule. YEAH SCHOOL!  Grammy needs a break. Wish I hadn't missed so much here. I will try to catch up. Love you all!
    LITTLE DITTY from mels'kitchen
    This morning I found out with my first sip of what was suppose to be a great cup of coffee, that instant coffee taste better when you don't forget the coffee.
    LITTLE OLD DITTY
    There was an explosion at a local senior citizen's center and 50 of the group died and went to Heaven. St. Peter apologized that Heaven was full and they would have to go to Hell temporarily until space opened up. After a month, an Angel came to St. Peter and said;"We'd better do something about getting those seniors back up to Heaven." Why?" asked St Peter. " Because," the Angel said, "They've held several bake sales and have raised the money to buy a large number of air conditioners."
    Hi to all my CS Grammies, hope all of you are feeling great as I do. I am looking forward to all things possible with God in my life. Sending lots of hugs and prayers to all of you.
     Hints of sunlight peek through ragged holes in the dark clouds made by a cool breeze. Mm, sends a delicious shiver racing across my skin as my little fan blows towards me and not a sliver of heat in it's windy caress.
    Nothing much to get excited over going on. Same 'ol mundane happenings of life. Some good, some bad, some delightful, some stupid, some funny, some sad, some filled with hugs, some  . . . . . . . . .
    Morning...the way I'm going it will be afternoon before I can get going!!
    Bev, that West Nile is scary!! We've had a few cases in my county. I sure hope TX can get some relief from that and SOON!!! In fact, DH's niece's DD had/has it...she's 3 (I think)...got a fever so they took her to the dr. They had to get the fever to break. The fever would come back and they would get it to break. I need to call & check on her. The pediatriction said that the people that are getting really sick are the ones that have health problems...little one is in great health she said so just needed to get the fever broken. Anyway...it is scary.
    Egee, so glad the AC is fixed!!
    Mel, good to see you. You have been busy!! I understand...me too...
    Ok, DH is wanting me to go somewhere with him so guess I better get it in gear...later...Waving to ALL...hugs too....
    Good afternoon everyone, another pretty day here, cool & lots of sunshine, windows still open, 90's later in the week, will be back to the AC.
    Zora....just hate it when my computer isn't working properly, I'm not smart enough to fix it like you are!!  The grand total amount of weight I have lost has been 34 lb. only have about 5-6 more pounds to go, then the challenge of keeping it off.  That ice cream I had last night sure did taste wonderful!!
    Cilla.....LOL....bless your heart, loved my reward for the last 2 lbs. lost....that little hottie is going to be back on TV pretty soon....can't wait.
    Margaret....guess we'll just have to wait & see how the kids do in school this year.
    NanB....this pot of green beans was seasoned with a good ole ham hock...DH loved it.
    Egee....cute picture
    Mel....there you are....hope things slow down for you so you can visit more often, you have been missed.
    Just got finished with the housecleaning stuff for the day.  Having lunch with gals I used to work with tomorrow, going to Applebee's, they have delicious lo cal meals.
    Hope everyone is having a good one.
    Good afternoon ladies, Sorta a busy day. Had to go pick up meds and the wait was almost an hour. Sometimes you can go and it will be just a few minutes, you never know. Went by the commissary and picked up some things I needed and then home.
    Zora - People eat rattle snake so I think the guy would have been safe. Hope you got the computer up and going today.
    Margaret - Maybe you will have better luck next trip to a boot fair.
    Rosie - I know you are enjoying your day. Hope you gave Josh a hug for me. I like your definition of being in eminent danger of legless lizards. I would be laying out right there by you.
    NancyB - Looks like you and I are easy to please. A trip to the grocery store is just about the highlight of my life. Especially with the hot weather.
    Edgee - Like the siggie, that was cute. Enjoy your time in Georgia.
    Mel - Whoo Hoo, you're back. I have to agree with Ken, would never have thought of using the phone camera for that. Smart cookie you are. Glad Tammi is back to normal. Abbie has to change around sometimes also. You won't eat anything much but Lil' Ceasar. Not much on beef, but will eat all the chicken and turkey flavors you give her. Hope all goes well for Miss J with school. Being a freshman is as big a deal as being a senior.
    Beverly - I didn't realize until looking at the map the West Nile virus was so bad in some states.
    Cilla - Hope all is well with you today. Are you in Helen? Had wanted to see you and this darned old cold is sorta getting me down. Also I certainly don't want to give it to you. Now if you were an enemy would be a little different. lol  I know I am so bad.
    Penny - I so enjoyed your prize for the 2 lbs. Think what he would have looked like if you had lost more. Ahhhhhh, ain't life grand. Lunch tomorrow sounds good. Haven't been to Applebee's in a while. The one here is so darn slow.
    Guess I better go. Time to take another swig of Nyquil. Don't know if I will get back later or not. See you all tomorrow anyway.
    Hugs,
    Brenda
    Hi, CS.
    Been one of those days, busy and not busy. Time for a little snooze and errands to do. Stopped at a friend's house with cucumbers and that meant some talking time.
    Now, we're ready to go to the Gun Club. The Pistol group has the prize money meeting and buffet tonight. I just cut up a ton of my homemade dill pickles for the buffet table.
    Hugs and prayers for all CS.
