A little early tonight because as soon as Bob gets thro the door we have got to go to bed. Tonight he works 3-11 and tomorrow he works 7-3. The nurse that works days ask him to switch with her so she could go to the homecoming at her church so of course he did.

Go Pack!! I watched the game mostly to see snow!! Because of course the Super Bowl is going to be between the Manning brothers!! But first somebody has to beat New England and I am afraid anybody that plays them are going to be toast! But the dream lives on!!

Thought for the Day- Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.-Napoleon Hill

Today is Make Your Dream Come True Day. This day gives you the opportunity to do something to realize your goals and dreams. Whatever your dreams are, they usually don't come true without some effort on your part. So, today is the perfect opportunity to do something about it. (Anne-do you hear me??)

On this day do something, anything, to move in the direction of achieving your dreams. Sure, sometimes it takes several steps to accomplish them. So view today as a time to get started on them. With a little effort, they will come true!

Morning Zora and all you lovely Seniors out there.  Am I the only night owl in the group?  Can't help it.  I'm an Aries and I need my quiet me time when I can feel all alone.  For me, it is kind of like meditation to be alone and to get it, I have to sacrifice sleep.

My MN daughter called me today and we started planning our week together in June.  Computers are so wonderful in that all that lovely information is out there and with a telephone connection and both of us going to the same sites, it is almost as good as being in the same place together!

We decided what city we were going to and what we wanted to do there.  I told her we needed to decide where we were going to stay.  When she looked at motel room prices, she thought they were too high.  I suggested a bed and breakfast.  Have always wanted to stay in one.  She thought those were WAY too high but I talked her into it.  They are beautiful and the old architecture (we both love really old houses) called to both of us.  I even made the reservations.  I'm so excited!  I haven't been out of Texas for 3 years or more now!

I stumbled on one B & B site that had posted some of their recipes so started looking at other B&B websites just because I love to see what they have done to restore these old houses and I started looking to see if I could find any other recipes.  A lot of the recipes are kind of unique and the Inns of have signature recipes they have either developed or they serve all the time.  I hit on a treasure trove of a site and wanted to share with all you all.  I, myself, will have to save it for tomorrow or next weekend (I do have to do housework on weekends too, darn it!).

    http://www.bbonline.com/recipe/index.html

Have fun and let me know if anybody finds anything good.

Zora:  Didn't make it shopping today.  DD went to a birthday party last night and stayed up until 4am so she was really tired.  I went to bed about 10 or 11 last night but 8 hours just didn't seem to be enough sleep today.  I have been wearing myself out at work during the week and then spend my weekend trying to rejuvenate.  We decided we will go tomorrow.  The outlet mall we go to has 2 kitchen stores side by side!  We can both get lost in those stores for hours on end!  Guess I better get to bed if I plan to go shopping tomorrow!

Good night, ALL.  I hope today finds your body rested and your spirit renewed.

I am feeling so happy all of a sudden it is almost sickening!  It must be the half cup of milk chocolate chips I just ate.  I have to remember the mood tomorrow when I will undoubtedly have to pay for my decadence in one way or another.  I'm off to bed.

    Vicki

And that's my real name for the lady that asked for it.  Sorry, I have always been terrible with names.  Sometimes even my own!

Good Morning! I'm still playing. Just ordered some pics from Walgreen's...they had a deal for 10¢prints but it ended a few mins ago...tried this afternoon and it wouldn't work...almost forgot about it. Anyway, got some prints of Mom with the kids...this has been a hard week missing her...

Zora, man, that's a hard turn around for Bob and of course, YOU!! Yikes!!! You plan a nap into your Sunday!!

Man, we had the BEST meal last night!! I got some King Crab leg clusters at Albertson's and they steamed 'em...My Dad ate so well!!! I got a kick out of watching him enjoy those crab legs.

Ok, I'll check in later in this day...

Filling the baskets with lots of hugs and prayers...

I am going out to b'fast this morning with a couple as they love b'fast. I don't but I need to get out of here so can find something I like on the menu - there is a buffet but I don't like cold scrambled eggs, sweet rolls, potatoes, or grits.  Give me 1/2 banana and coffee!  Nancy B

Good morning my friends, Crazy dreams night around here…figured out that Walt had a folding shoulder holster under the arm rest in his truck. Hmmmm, wonder where that crazy thing came from? We gave up yesterday and just pulled the truck into the garage, so we need to unload it this morning so Scott can find room in his room for it.

I have been told to back off and quit Mommyizing him. Hard to do. Cilla, there are times you can have full possession of him! LOL. Thanks for the recipe for the chicken, that is right up his alley.

Hey, Shorty, Daisy gave you permission to help the Bit, she doesn’t want her buddy Dakota trying to run to the rescue. Get your tail unkinked and crawl back under the covers.

Reggram, you are definitely not the only nightowl. There are times I think I am the only one that goes to bed at a decent hour  Where did you and your DD decide to go? My oldest and I are in the middle of planning our escape for this year. We are looking at Missouri, TN, or Arkansas I think. I’ve spent many an hour at bbonline. Same daughter has had a dream for years of owning her own BB so we sit and check out those for sale, the recipes, etc.

Grumble Mumble Cilla, I was going to take advantage of that ten cent sale and didn’t…mumble grumble. You would think that when crab legs are on the menu you would invite your business partner. Mumble grumble.

Walt drove yesterday so I was able to do some drive by shooting including the buzzard roost, Leisa. They will be uploaded to my albums later today so go look at the silly buzzards bedroom (doesn’t take much to amuse Leisa…)

NanB, enjoy the company if not the food. Most places with buffets will let you order off the menu too and they will have exactly what you want. I on the other hand have to go in and rummage around to find something to poke in my mouth.

Hugs and prayers to each of you, because YOU are loved.

    Raspberry Almond Coffee Cake

    Topping:

    ½ Cup White cake mix

    1/3 Cup Brown sugar, packed

3 Tbs. cold butter, cut into small pieces

¾ Cup whole almonds, with skin, coarsely chopped

    Cake:

    Rest of cake mix

    1 Cup sour cream

    1 stick butter

    2 large eggs

    1 ½ tsp. almond extract

    ½ pint raspberries

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.Spray a 9” springform pan with Pam.

Mix first three topping ingredients.  Add almonds.

Mix together the cake mix and the next 4 ingredients.  Beat on low for 1 minute.  Then beat on medium for 2 minutes.  The batter will be thick.  Gently fold in the raspberries. Spread batter in pan. Press topping into a ball then break off pieces and sprinkle on the top of the batter.  Press gently.

Bake 1 hour 10 minutes.  Cake will settle in the center. Cool completely in the pan on wire rack.  Run knife around edge of pan.  Remove pan sides and loosen cake from pan bottom with wide spatula.  Place on cake plate and dust with powdered sugar.

Note:  Time was perfect for my oven.  Want to try with blueberries and lemon extract next.  Very easy to put together.  The four of us gave it 8 thumbs up.

    Good morning, CS.

Happy fans in Packerland, for sure. And, if you watched the game, how about that snow?

ZORA, we had a dusting of snow, but no big flakes like Green Bay had. And, yes I had the shirt on and the boa.

Hi to ROSIE, VICKI, and NANCY B.

I am off to help DD, Laura, with her Prayer Partner program at church. Women will choose their prayer partners for this year.

    Have a Blessed Sunday.

    Good morning all,

Vicki, I'm with you on being a nite owl.  There are a few of us on the BB who even call ourselves nite owls and yatter away from about 9 til 12 or 1 a.m.  My eyes pop open about 9 p.m. and I'm good for all nite if I would allow myself.

Zora, no I didn't even try yesterday to get this puter back in shape.  Guess I also have to much running around to do this winter that I can't seem to find the time to concentrate.

Oh Vicki, I'm from Mn., where does you DD live?  And I'm now in Tx.  so if you come way down south in Tx. come visit me.

Today is hopefully ironing day.  I don't want to let it pile up like I did a few weeks ago.  Also need to go to the grocery store.  We're out of milk and that is as bad for us as it is for the rest of you being out of coffee.

Better go get dressed and get started on my day.

Good Morning, Everyone!  I slept in this morning - til 9.  I had to work yesterday, 11-7, and didn't get home until 8:30.  The traffic was a mess coming through Atlanta.  There was a boat show going on at the World Trade Center or the GA Dome and it was stop and go for several miles.  I was soooooooooo tired when I finally made it home.  DH called and said don't worry about supper.  He put a pizza in the oven.

A belated Happy Birthday to Tippy and Pat R.  Hope y'all had a wonderful birthday.  And Happy Birthday to anyone that I missed.

Nanbov -- Can't remember if you are in Peoria or Florida now but wanted to let you know I'm coming home to Peoria on Feb 23 and coming back home to GA Feb 27.  Would like to meet you in person for a cup of tea/coffee.  AirTran was having a 2-day special so took advantage of it to go check on my parents.  Just hoping for decent weather.

Guess I ought to get two loads of bath towels folded.  DH did those for me yesterday while I was at work.

I do need to go to JCPenney's today.  The sweater and skirt we bought Mom for Christmas was too large and need to take it back.  I already sent her new ones.  My only problem is all the tags are gone from both pieces, but I do have my receipt.  I hope that doesn't cause a problem.  I'm not going to ask her if she still has them.  She wouldn't remember anyway.  Maybe next time I should keep all tags just in case I need to make an exchange.  Does/Has anyone worked in retail that would know how that will work?

Y'll have great day.  Hugs and Prayers for All, Roberta   :D
