    Good Morning:

All Bob caught fishing today was a big trout and all the guy that he went with caught was a big redfish.  Poor thing he called me about noon and ask me to check the app on my phone to see what time they were biting.  It was from 1-3 this morning really early and for 8-10 tonight.  They got a little disgusted and called it a day.  But at least we have fish to eat tonight for supper.  Think I will be bad and deep fry them.

I made Bob very happy.  I finally got my email set up on 7.  Nothing really important came in while the computer was down.  Getting it to act like what I was using was a pain but I knew Bob couldn’t use it like it was.

Thought of the Day-What’s the difference between a Northern fairy tale and a Southern fairy tale?
A Northern fairy tale begins, “Once upon a time”.
A Southern fairy tale begins, ” ‘Y’all ain’t gonna believe this

Today is National Pig Day recognizing and giving thanks to domesticated pigs. For some unknown reason, big, pot-bellied pigs seen in zoos, are often the symbol of the day. Pigs are clever and intelligent animals. But, most people are unaware of this high level of intelligence. They can be taught to do tricks. Some people even keep them as pets. Today is a day to give pigs the respect that they deserve.

National Pig day is celebrated by zoos, too. Activities include Snort Offs, Pig Outs, and online Pig Chats. However you choose, do not miss celebrating this day.

    Good Morning Everyone,

I survived, but so far can see nothing out of the eye that was done.   Hopefully it will get better, the surgeon came out and told my DB & SIL that everything went well.  I have an appointment with the Dr. today, but the weather forecast is bad so I might have to call and postpone it till tomorrow.    The only way I can see right now, is to cover the eye that was done, thank goodness the first eye is OK.    I don't remember this happening with the other one.     Am beginning to panic!

Will be back later if anything changes.

It isn't even 7 yet and I've had 2 calls!  My son always calls and a woman called, asking if I could pick her up for exercise as her hubby has an early med appt.  Of course I will - I take her home, anyway, each time so her hubby doesn't have to come get her.  He brings her and I don't want to routinely as I'm never sure when I'm leaving.

Think I'll hoof it over to Winn Dixie as I'm out of lettuce and the larder is low in other areas.

Mabel, I have my fingers crossed for you.  My prayer is in the hopper, too, and will be  answered as we speak.  Be sure to thank Him.  I couldn't handle things alone!

Will it be shorts or slacks today - 82 expected?    Happy March to all of you - hope it comes in like a lamb. Nancy B

Tip top of the morning to everyone. Happy March!

And Happy Pig Day. I'm thinkin' bacon for breakfast to celebrate.

When I was a kid I went to school with a boy whose family had a full-sized pig for a pet and it lived in the house with them.

NANCY Z~~Well, if I had known you were up I would have told my hubby to call and chat with you instead of waking me to talk when he got up too early...Again.

ZORA~~LOVE the thought for the day. That is soooo funny.

I'm glad that the computer is coming along. I hope that your completely happy with it when it's all done.

Oh MARGARET~~I can just picture you strolling, with your friends, through the beautiful countryside.

Do you or SANDY know how long it is before the eagles will start to hatch out? I remember reading about it last year but have only checked once this year, so far.

MABEL~~Throwing more hugs into the basket for you and continueing the prayers. My dad had problems with seeing right away on one of his eyes. It turned out great.

My mom is due to get hers done and is waiting till spring. Don't ask me why. LOL

Well, friends....You aren't going to believe this. (just kidding)

Hubby and I are booking our flights to Texas. We will be there the very end of March and first part of April.

    Woooo-hooo!

Gotta go get ready for my day. Hittin' the shower before picking up the kiddo and then I have the ladies coming here for the bible study. Talk to you all later.

    Have a beautiful day.

    Good morning ladies,

Happy first day of March and Happy Pig's Day.

Hope that everyone is doing fine, and we are closer to spring three more weeks.

Going for my hair cut, I go every five weeks cause ot grows so fast.

Here is a riddle for you:

‎3 men go to a hotel and explain to the cashier that they would like to share one room, and need the cheapest room because they do not have much money.

The clerk provides them with a room for $30, but realized after they went to their room that the room fee is only $25, so the clerk sent the bellhop up to the room to give the men their money.

Since it was hard to give exact change, the bellhop asked if it was okay if he gave each of them $1 back and kept $2 for the tip.  The men agreed.

Each man initiall paid $10, but got $1 back so they actually paid only $9.

    $9 x 3 = $27 plus the $2 for the tip equals $29.

Where did the other dollar go?

    Have a good day,

    YF

Count me in as another one up early, before four!  I KNOW a nap is in my future.

My little 4 month DGGD is in the hospital.  They have taken her in several times in the past week and finally she was admitted early yesterday morning.  I think that my DGD said that she has RSP, but not sure of the initials.  Do know that it's respiratory.  After taking her to the closest hospital near their home in Chicago they now have her at Children's so know that is the best for her.  I've never drivin down there so not sure that I want to try it, particularly alone.  Guess I'll just wait to hear from Crystal.

Can't think straight.  Talk to you later.  Pat

    Good morning!!

Oh what a fantastic day with Mark and Doreen!  Of course we don’t have to do anything to think it is a good day.  Penzey’s store was a-ma-zing!  I came home with a bag full of goodies, Doreen with TWO bags.  Will be making a list of ingredients this morning and then can start cooking again.  After we paid the salaries of the women working in the store (all very knowledgeable and all very willing to share their experiences) we headed to Central Market, a high class grocery store with the most wonderful produce, cheese, meat and bakery sections.  Walt and I picked up supper (cheeses, sausages,  olives, breads and crackers) and Doreen came out with a bag full of something – all I remember is salad greens so she could use some of her salad dressing spices she bought at Penzeys.  Lunch was fantastic, each of us got something different and everyone enjoyed it.  The trip home was a bit scenic (made the wrong turn and got caught in a left turn only lane) but it was different but we will wait next time until the women’s room is free.  And when I got home there was another email….WHOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!  Yesterday was a good day.

Zora, you left a word off the end of the southern fairy tale  beginning…grin.  I will give the piggy all the credit he is due and a place of honor right next to the scrambled eggs.  Can you come spend a couple of days with me?  I am going crazy with this stupid computer, doesn’t it know that I like my icon here, my gizmo tuned off, the thingabob to come on as soon as I boot up???  Oh well, one step at a time.  Yup, you got it….WHOOOOOOHOOOOOO!

Margaret, the reason your siggies post twice is because they are so pretty.  I looked to see if Mary had sent a picture of Lucy for me to share with y’all but no such luck yet.  Guess Bunny is happy to have another c-a-t on hand.

Mabel, don’t panic yet, give our prayers a chance to work.

NanB, I have the same wardrobe quandary, finally settled on gown until such time Walt insists we head to town.  Love your medical plan…it is part of Scott’s medical plan here…leave me alone while I drink my coffee and you stay healthy.

Mary, Lucy sounds like she will fit right in with the rest of the gang here, not all are rescues but many are, and she can add her stories to the others.  Would love to know what goes on in an animals mind…why did Lucy choose the boyfriend to come up to out of all those people?  Some devine intervention guiding her?  The mailbox is empty just waiting for her picture to come through.  Will post it the minute I get it (but I am going to town some time today).

YF, glad you are back in business with the new computer, but extremely happy that Andre’s blood sugars are coming down.  That is wonderful news.  I loved The Help, absolutely LOVED it.  The person that did the casting is the one that should win an award!  I can’t add two and two and you want me to solve a riddle like that?  I don’t think so, and I think it doesn’t have a logical answer….something like comparing apples and oranges.

Cheri, if you get to the Austin/San Antonio area while you are here I’ll take you to the Magnolia Café for an omelet.   I like your schedule to be in Texas…Doreen and I will have to plan an overnighter up to the Bowie area if you are game…or you and the cowboy can come down this way for a weekend away.  Prayers continue for CP’s Grandma.  Knowing he is coming home will give her some extra strength I bet.

Like all the good news Sandy!  Especially loving that your niece’s son is doing so well.

Nan, it might be my banana bread you are thinking of, NanB is the president of the fan club and mentioned the other day that it was the only banana bread we should be eating.  It is coarser than the fine some people enjoy.  Anyway I will post the recipe again for you.  It makes 3 loaves for me, and they freeze well.   I would prefer to bag my own groceries…I have a large supply of “green bags” but can’t convince the baggers, although I try, not to put the 5# bag of flour in with the 5# bag of sugar, and then slip in something else in the little space left.  I always come home with bags left over and heavy bags.

Penny, you are blessed with DH being healthy enough, willing enough, and strong enough to do that garden…now that I have been Pollyanna, I will head to town and mail you a bottle of Roundup.  Don’t Google Womble…you’ll want one!  Now why would you think I am up to something????  Just because I am grinning from ear to ear and burst into WHOOOHOOOO’s without warning???  Gee, a girl can’t whoohooo any more without being under suspicion – grin.  Btw, you are looking fetching with your new haircut and color…but did you mean to go orange????  I hope that the boy that pushed Jacob did so in play and not being a bully…this auntie still wants to handle it for Jacob…wicked evil cacle.  How dare he hurt our Jacob?

Ann, I just can’t imagine a Red Lobster making it in New England.   So glad to hear your DB is doing better.  That Cranberry Cole Slaw and potato soup both jumped off the page at me too.

Jp, much better than winning the lottery or the Caribbean cruise!!!  Much! Much! Much better.  LOL at wearing shoes to bed…will have to try to remember that last couple of lines, like so many I have never heard it either.

NancyZ, if all that is going on outside then I would suggest you stay inside!  That is my pearl of wisdom for the day.

AnnB, sending a thank you for your pastor’s son.  Bet he was reciting every prayer he ever learned.

Tippy, I’ll see your WhooHooo and raise you a WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Pat, big big prayers going up for your DGGD and for you.  God bless that sweet baby.

Hugs and prayers to each of you because YOU are loved!

I have been so busy with the D and Kont'e that I can't remember when the last time I was herre. Miss J. feeling lots better after shot and z-pak. She is off to school. Yesterday I had to take D to dentist where they cut out 4 wisdom teeth. So she is home with me so I could watch her. She is finally sleeping after being up allnight, ice paks on and off and pain pills I think she will maybe sleep most of the day,  (I hope).
