Hi, I am back on again for a few minutes.
Brenda: Sure sorry about your friend. That is way too young. The friend we just lost with the brain tumor was hardly older than that. Her DH is trying to get his life back together but the tears are just in the background. The poor little dog, Daisy, was so bonded to Pat and can't understand where she is now. I feel so sorry for her. She used to lie on the bed beside Pat during the last of her illness. It was so sudden. Two months from diagnosis to death!
Penny: I will be sure to leave some Applesauce cookies on the virtual platter for you! They are so soft and chewy, not at all dry.
Sandy: That cat is so bold! I think, if it were me, I would tie some set mouse traps on the door for it to bang on!
Willie: Nice to see you back. I am sure you enjoyed the company. I have to laugh at myself because, when I was scanning through your post, I got the idea that the bricks were for the actual pioneers and I said, "Now, wait a minute! Her father can't be that old"! and I had to re-read it to get the actual sense of what you said! LOL!
My computer guy came and fixed my email for me. He said it just needed to be updated to Internet Explorer 9 and I still had 8 on there. Once he did that, my email is working great. He was looking so much better. He has been ill with rheumatoid arthtitis and edema and all kinds of things and has had all kinds of tests, poking and prodding. He said they are trying to find out why he is low on albumin and haven't found out yet. I think that is what he said! I don't know what albumin is but someone on here probably does.
My DD took the tractor to the barn to clear manure out and it stopped completely on her. She says the battery shows to be charging but it won't start. It was working great for hauling manure Thursday so don't know what is wrong now. It isn't flooded, she said, but just goes, tick, tick, tick when she tried to turn it over. I will have to go up pretty soon and see if I can see a loose wire or anything. I put in a call to our mechanic to come see what is wrong with it and give my car an oil change at the same time.

Good evening, home from eating out & snuggled in our chairs....brrrr, it's still cold out there, had to come home & get under my electric throw, sure does feel good.
Went to Applebee's for dinner, had that delicious shrimp & broccoli, served on a bed of rice, just love the stuff.
AnnB.....yum, will grab a couple of the applesauce cookies for DH as well, he's a big cookie person, loves them. This dieting has been hard on him, he tries to support me but I know he misses his sugar....LOL!
Going to DD's tomorrow for dinner, will get to visit with Miss A....always a fun time.
Hope everyone has a good evening, see you tomorrow.

Checking in late but oh what a wonderful day we have had. Yep, "WE". DH surprised me. They were given this whole weekend off. There are strings attached of course but this was wonderful. The "strings" are that there is a 13 day stretch of work, ALL mandatory and looooonnnnnggg hours.
We slept in a little and hubby told me he "HAD PLANS" (thank you Walt). We took off to a nearby town that is doing their City-Wide garage sales. We haven't done that in a long, long while because of his work schedual.
Colder than ice cubes and even sleeted a little while we were out but we were like kids in love. Hardly noticed.
Got some amazing deals on stuff that we had actually been looking for and some we just couldn't live without and our kids will throw out when we die. LOL
After we got done there we picked up my mom and headed over to the Amish Country and did our garden plant/flower shopping. Cannot beat that place for prices. The word is out too much because the place was packed!
We get huge hanging flower baskets every year for my mom and Rich's mom for Mother's Day and he gets me one too. These are enormous baskets filled with multiple plants and varieties. Beautiful and each one only $18!
Back home and Chinese for dinner. All in all a spectacular day. Tomorrow will be a day of rest and relaxation with dear friends of ours whom we haven't seen in a very long time. We have been invited over to their home. DH will be good and rested up for the long days ahead of him.
SANDY~~Does that cat belong to someone that you know of?
Evening
What a cold, dreary, miserable day it has been here today. Rain off and on all day.
Got busy and forgot to shut down the computer this afternoon so thought I'd pop on here and wish everyone a nice evening. Dh and Angel in his lounge chair watching the race and I'm in the other room and have NCIS on at the moment.
Tippy what a nice day, minus the weather of course, that you and dh had. So sorry it had to come with strings. That'll be a looonnnnnggggg work run. Hope he doesn't get sick after all that. Glad you enjoyed the day.
Brain is on "evening" mode and just can't remember much of what I read so will just say "Hello" to everyone and hope you all had a great day.
Good Night all.
Nan
WOW! My post started to space funny and I see it never even finished what I had typed out.
TRY AGAIN~~~
SANDY~~Does that cat belong to someone near you? If it does they need to know about the trouble it is causing. If it does not belong to someone it needs to GO. Can you spray the doors with that cat repel stuff? I've also heard that throwing grapefruit halves or shells out keeps cats from birdfeeders. Maybe it would work around your doors and windows.
I know what you mean by "Banging" because Pounce pounds on my bedroom door in the mornings when DH leaves for work. It's either that or leave the door open and he comes in and bites me to get me up. I prefer "banging". LOL
ZORA~~Sounds like you had a great time. Too bad Bob couldn't be there. Good thing they have him to call in as a back-up. Could have been one of those "walk them to the door" situations that left them short-handed.
WILLIE ~~ That may be the part of Idaho that we traveled through. It is rich with history and we enjoyed it so much. Love the Oregon trail and we thought we would never see the end of the Snake River. Had a joke about it going with the kids as we journeyed.
Check out my mention of stuff to spray so cats leave areas alone for you furniture. Maybe you can spray them and the cat will find something else to demolish while he is suffering separation anxiety.
ANN B~~Sounds like the starter! Ask me how I know. LOL
What a scary story about the guy and the police cars. No on was injured, were they? Wacko!
ANN~~I don't envy you one bit with all that you have been through with your DB and all that is to come yet. He is blessed to have you in his corner fighting for him. That is certain!
MARGARET~~I'm hoping that your friend's troubles don't get YOU down. It is one thing to care and another to get too involved and take it on yourself.
BEVERLY~~Why do you need to take driving lessons? I must have missed something.
Sad about your DGD and her hubby. It's hard to make it anyway and being in the military adds another whole new dimension of 'difficuty'.
ROSIE~~Noooo, not brown and dried up already! It was so beautiful and I'm so thankful we got to see it that way.
The scrapbook is coming along nicely. Like I said, I'm out of 'fillers' but I'm moving ahead with pages. I'll just pop them in when I get the plastic filler pages.
Do you skype? It would really be easy to show you these pages if you do. Otherwise it's going to take an awful lot of photos to get the job done.
I will be emailing you my dumb questions.
I thought for awhile today that I would be learning to text on a new phone. I kept dropping mine and DH accused me of doing it intentionally. Noooo, I wouldn't do that.
PAT~~Pictures, we want pictures! You are amazing getting those shawls done for all of them. I'm in awe!
NANCY B~~Have a great time at cards. Win tonight!
BRENDA~~I am soooo sorry to hear about your friend. THAT is way too young. Prayers will be added, dear friend.
PENNY~~~Exactly why I'm not going to complain about the weather. I'm thinking there will be no pleasing us this year. We did get all the plants though so it does need to at least stop freezing every night.
EGEE~~Propping that door open so you can slip out!
Oh the Smokies again. Ahhhhhh!
Hi NAN~~ Good to see you even if your brain is on evening mode. We love ya!
This rain is good for the lack of moisture we had this winter for sure. I need to keep myself positive or I will only think about how fast the lawns are growing. LOL
Time to find some raspberry sherbet and watch some tv or an old movie.
Nighty-night, sleep tight!
Tippy
Meikha_Miwas that DGD in picture. When did her hair get that light?
Yes. They won't let her go purple, blue, striped, etc. She's pushing the envelope on how light she can bleach her hair.
tippytoesWhy do you need to take driving lessons?
Lol. Not driving lessons. Driving safety class for obtaining a ticket as I drive FAST. DD takes after her Mama, grinning. She, too, was driving rather "quickly".
