    Happy Memorial Day, CS.

Another hot day----A/C kind of day.

ZORA, love the pic you posted of Jodie. Thank you. Chicken was a tasy dish.

MARGARET, I enjoyed seeing Miss Jodie. I know you like doing things with her. Foxes do mark their territory and maybe they've done that in your yard.

NANCY B, I was happy to see the race on TV. Sure don't want to be out in the heat.

One more hot day for us, SANDY, and then it should cool off for several days.

ANN B, our TV showed pics of the fires in the Gila Mts.

ANN, kids do say the darndest things.

Amen, BEVERLY. I live with an ex-Marine.

BRENDA, good price for gas. A little higher up here in SE WI. Glad the computer is being good for you, today.

EGEE, how long before you get to stay at your new place?

JP, gas is about the same here for me. But, the price jumps are from 10 to 20 cents when they go up.

PENNY, we love salads, too. Just made a batch of my Hot Bacon Dressing.

A good day for salads or strawberry shortcake and maybe something on the grill, later on.

Hugs and prayers for all CS.

    Nancy Z.

Hi, again!  I missed this "letter to the editor" this morning; Bill just pointed it out to me.  Fine writing for Memorial Day; I thought I'd share.

NancyZ, I moved week before last.  Just came back to Ga for a couple of days and take care of some things.  I bought a vacuum before left here and when got there it would not work (first time out of box) and found the wire was cut/broken.  Dealer there would not replace it and would take a week or more to replace the cord so I brought it back here and today the dealer gave me another new one.  Have to collect mail in the morning and then will be on the way back to NC.  Will be end of summer or early fall before can get this one ready for the market.  Children have to get what they want and have to downsize quite a bit.

Penny, in a few minutes I will load the Kitchen Aide, enough pans to bake one cake at a time and two pies at a time.  And I have a few other things stacked already.

Got the vacuum replaced, stopped for chicken tenders and biscuits and went to Jenny's.  When called her to ask what I could bring for supper she was cooking already so we had scalloped potatoes, green beans, corn and corn bread with the chicken.  She was cooking a pork roast but it didn't get quite done.  Enjoyed seeing her and the children.  Gracie is getting so grown up (two years old three weeks ago).  Finally starting to talk and still loving.  The older ones are sweet too.

Good evening, another hot/humid one here today, will bew glad when it's over for a few days.

Pretty uneventful around here today, DH in his shop most of the afternoon, have no idea what he's putzing with down there.  DD said she, DH & Miss A were headed to one of the local parks to feed the ducks, then play.....good day for Miss A.

NancyZ.....hmmmm, hot bacon dressing, now that sounds good, kind of like I fix to have wilted lettuce....just can't beat good ole bacon.  Think that's what I'll fix for dinner tomorrow evening before the leaf lettuce is finished in the garden for the season.

Not a darn thing on TV tonight, may just grab my book & read.  Hope everyone has a good evening, see you tomorrow.

I have so enjoyed reading the posts today. Yes, we just don't say thanks enough to our military heroes. My Dad was Army, WWII, Battle of the Bulge  and he never would talk about it...until toward the end of his life. Too many painful memories, I guess. Bless his heart.  When he did, it brought tears to my eyes…  Its unreal the stuff these wonderful people have to put up with! And we should take better care of our military & veterans.

It's hot here too. But the black rain clouds are forming...   The gas here (where we buy it) is $3.29 gal. I'm surprised that it hasn't gone up since they have gotten more several times this week. There are other places but higher in price.  The campground has really cleared out!! It was full and now...lots have gone back to their reality.

Zora, ginger ale chicken sounds great.

    Margaret, Jodie is a cutie!!

Effie, be careful traveling...  Glad you got to see Jenny & the kids. I’m sure they miss you too.

Sandy, glad DS is home. Hope he continues to improve for *condition*.  Thanks for posting Miss A’s pics.

Penny, Miss A is a cutie-pie!! Take care of yourself! How scary!!

Nancy Z, hot bacon dressing sounds good…care to share the recipe??

Brenda, I’m glad you got to see the traveling Wall. Sure hope you aren’t getting a bladder infection…

Annrms, thanks for the editorials, drawings, etc…  Amen.

Bev, my Dad was Army. After he got back, the kept him in the reserves for several years...I never did find out why…

We were going to grill sausage kabobs out but it’s still hot and then it rained…so I’m doing it inside in a fry pan. We’ve been watching reruns of NCIS all day on USA channel. I’ll take Gibbs anytime…

Waving to all…hope you have had a good day but remembered why we are celebrating!
