Hi everyone - my wife and I have been volunteering for about eight years at the CENTER FOR GRIEVING CHILDREN at the Appleton, WI Boys and Girls Club.  It is a safe place for kids to come after the loss of a loved one.  Each month, we serve about 75 kids and volunteers.  Mostly, we make easy meals that travel well (since we do this from our home kitchen) and that are received well by the kids.   Very rewarding.

 

In addition, for the last four years, we have been lucky enough for Chef Dana Elliott to  have chosen us to be her volunteer coordinators for the local TASTE OF HOME cooking school events.  We love working with Dana and helping her to make her shows a success.  Just finished one with her on Saturday, and can't wait until she comes back to town!  She's our fave!
