Hi, I've written you crafters before, telling you I do a lot of plastic canvas craft. But I do crochet sometimes, also. Family Circle magazine published directions for making a Christmas stocking out of granny squares. They were lovely, all green and red and white. I made about half-a-dozen at the time for a group money raiser. I went to make myself one this year and could no longer find my pattern. Did anybody here happen to save that pattern? It was probably published in the seventies. If you have it, I'd dearly love a copy of the directions.

Lorraine, I do remember that stocking. I made several back then too. Sadly, I think my pattern is LONG gone... but I will look thru my box of loose patterns to see if just perhaps, I have it!! Hopefully someone does!

Lorraine, if you didn't find the pattern you were looking for, I have 2 stockings already made that I will send you. It's the regular granny pattern, so if you have that, these wil be a snap. These are done in red, green, and white. Very Christmas-ey. At least, you will have them for next Christmas.
