Any interest in the public outside world, wanting home made note cards or Christmas cards? I made some Christmas cards a few years ago and everyone loved them. so i was interested in if anyone would be interested in them and where i could sell them.
I made some wind socks, small decorative ones that can be displayed inside or outside. anyone know how i can sell them. i would like to sell them for $5.00 each.
You could try selling your items at a local craft show or on-line places like Etsy (sp?). Or, you could approach a local shop with some samples of your cards & other items & see if they would sell them on consignment for you? Several years ago, a group of crafty women would pool their resources & have an open house at 1 of their homes around the holidays....haven't seen it done in a long time but it was popular for awhile. Hard to judge how many people would buy cards...scrapbookers seem to have lots of ideas & supplies...I get homemade cards fairly often for birthdays, get well or baby announcements. Good luck :-)
I have an etsy shop. It's new and I only have a few cards in it but it's getting views. Listings are .20 each and are good for 4 months. I also have 2 consignment leads and hope to have a children's consignment on board before the end of the month. I also had a friend ask me to make 6 teacher cards for her. I did a very small show in Mar. and broke even. Not sure I'll do the December one. Think I'd need more gifty things. Oh...I should mention I make cards and papercrafts but have lots of ideas for other crafty things.
Lynn1018 mentioned a craft open house. There is one around me that's been going on for 20+ years. It's mostly sewn stuff and it never changes. There used to be cuter stuff.
Let your friends know about your etsy shop via your FB page and ask them to share. Post on BB's as well.
Good luck!
