    Good Sunday Morning!!

Nothing new here, the scarf may get done tonight then off to the next project.  Not just sure yet, many to choose from.

What will this week bring ya?  New patterns?  Irresistible yarn?  Completed projects?  Please share Idea  Linda

I just printed a copy of the pattern for fan stitched bookmarks, and now I need to figure out how much thread I need for a shawl. It will be done in strips (like my other shawl). Then when I find the thread for a strip, then I need to decide how many strips. I'll sit down and work this out. I want to start another project.

    Hi

I ordered some buttons from Joann's so waiting for that order to finish up a baby dress for new grand neice to arrive late July. Then I will take a picture of the dress and blanket for her.

Weekends are just never long enough. Then it is back to work on Monday.

Linda you are progressing along and Mary is starting her new project too.

Have a good week everyone. Jeanette

Jeanette: dresses and blankets that are hand-made are so nice. The kids really don't appreciate it (I know my grandma made dresses for me, but I really didn't think much of it), but when they get older, they really think of it.!

I tried all day yesterday to get on, but I just stopped trying in the evening. I'm on today now, so must be "fixed".

Why not make little things that are for babies, that can put away for "keepsakes", that they really might appreciate seeing, when they are adults- like a little pillow or mobile that hooks on the crib? There are many patterns out there for little things like that.

Great to hear about new members of the family! A grand daughter is great.

    Hey Ladies!

Life has FINALLY settled down and things are getting back to normal around here.

Linda - Congradulations on the new addition to the family.

My friend who is expecting recently found out she is having a girl and I have gone into high gear making baby stuff.

I have a couple of finished objects to share. The first is a baby blanket I named Ella's Flowers. (That is the name my friend picked for her baby.)

The next FO I have is a simple continuous granny square baby blanket I made from the leftovers of the last three baby blankets I made.

The last FO I have is a Citron Shawl. This is the second project I have made from a yarn I bought at my LYS and there is still more of it left. It's the ball of yarn that never ends!

My work in progress is a car seat blanket in a bubble gum pink yarn. It has a "hole" for the car seat buckle. I wish I had something like this when my girls were little. I hated 'fighting' to keep a blanket on them when it was cold. It always seemed to fall off when I would get them out of the car.

This weekend is our Relay for Life event and we are all excited to finally have it here. My dining room looks like Relay blew up in it! Everything will get put together tomorrow and Friday and then the house will get back to normal; I hope. I think I will work on my Prayer Shawl while I man our team's booth. That way I will get to do double charity duty.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week.

    Hi ladies

Joann package made it yesterday with buttons so now tonight I hopefully can get them sewn on.

Annie your projects are just lovely. I love the pink afghan with the flowers but they all are good and the yarn in the last picture is just gorgeous.

Yeah Linda on your new granddaughter. I have four and they are so much fun to make outfits for.

Mary You are right I know that someday they will appreciate all the handmade things. My hopes is to make a few blankets ahead someday so if I don't happen to be around when great grandchildren come they will have something homemade too. We shall see. Right now I don't get done what I want.

Well work is calling :( Have a good day all. Jeanette

    Hi All

I got the buttons on the dress last night and started a hat to go with it. Hopefully finish it in the next night or two.

Linda what is your new granddaughters name? Can't wait for you to share a picture. I have tons of crochet patterns for dresses, sweaters, etc but I know you are a knitter. I know you will find some patterns for that little miss.

Hope everyone else is doing good today. Jeanette

    Annie: those projects look great!

I need to scan 4 crochet magazine pages (the page with the index of all the items). When I do that, I put them in folders with names, so I can just sit at the computer and look for a pattern without having to go through all my magazines. It does take time to do it, but it saves time when I am looking for a pattern.

Annie, the Ella's Flowers blanket is stunning!  May I ask the name and where you got the pattern?  Nice job on the other two projects, feels good to get things completed doesn't it!  I have seen the Citron Shawl before, the yarn you chose is perfect, very nice.

Miss GD is our newest addition to the family.  We have a visit planned this afternoon.  My grandson lives here in town so having a grandchild an hour away will be a bit of an adjustment for me  Confused  I know, it's not bad but it isn't 5 min either, selfish Grandma I am !

The 2 fronts and back of the kimono are done, need to get it put together and then do the sleeves.  Little garments make up fast  Big Smile I finished a couple preemie hats and have started a cupcake hat for the craft fair.

Summer weather is in full swing, wish we'd get some rain!  Enjoy your week-end everyone. Linda
