Good morning!  Well, does everyone have their Christmas decorations up yet.  I hope not because I haven't put anything up yet. LOL

Just wanted to get this started before I head off to work.  Enjoy your Sunday!

Yes, but I still have a couple to put out...mainly my snowman collection. It's really the perfect collection for me since I live in Florida and have never built a snowman! LOL

I've finally gotten everything together to make that frame for my boys Godfather and wife from their beach wedding. Found some awesome embellishments in my stash that work perfectly with the colors of the invite, etc. Hopefully I can start on it Tues. I'll be at school all day tomorrow. I also found some mini notebooks that I could scrap a cover and put ribbons on the spiral binding.

Decorating for Christmas... well I have to confess it is my Dad who is putting it up, he has the lights on outside... not turned on and will not until the boys arrive..Dec. 20th... dont ask why they dont turn them on before I haveno idea... the tree is up with lights but no decorations...that will be my job I am sure and that is fine but Dad needs to bring them down from the attic... not much else is going to come down this year... Wish I could say that shopping is done and presents are wrapped, but that would be a BIG ole lie...have a few things for the boys... need to find my brothers presents from last year... he didnt come down so we put the presents up and he is fine with that... now to find them... so he is basically done... he has asked for a few things so I will try to find those. Have 2 things for my Mom... and that is it. Mom is upset because it is not done, nor have I gone out to do it..just dont feel like it gee wonder why... I am just hoping she is going to be able to come home before Christmas. Really that is all anyone wants this year... well excepting for a house, car and a husband for me!!! same ole same ole list from the past 30 years. ..... BARBIE I hope by this time they have figured out what the problem is and are treating it correctly. Being in the hospital is not nice... as I am sure you well know... green jello is not festive no matter what time of the year it is. Have been knifty knitting and have a scarf done along with trying to finish a beanie that I just started today. Ok, enjoy your week all.... we are supposed to get rain for the next 4 days which means all of the people who cant drive anyway are now really going to be nuts on the streets and freeways. But remember I love rain... but couldnt it happen on the weekend. Ok I am off... talk to you all later.

We got our first snow yesterday and we are supposed to get more tomorrow.  Just a dusting yesterday.

GrannyBarbie -  We were worried about you when we didn't hear from you for so long.  I hope you are getting your strength back.

I have no gifts wrapped yet either, but no Christmas tree up to put them under anyway.  I think my husband is going to get the tree out of the attic this week some time.

    Denise,

You knititing? I always wanted to learn, attempted a couple of times, guess it was just not in my destiny. Our tree is done, Christmas is over for my side of the family, now just dealing with the boys. My craft fair Saturday was a total bust, it was 22 degrees , just too cold for people to come out. Oh well, got lots of stuff to hand out.

    Come on Friday.

Hi Everyone,  Just wanted to pop on & let you know how everything is going here.  Not sure when I was on her last.  I'm sorry,I don't have the energy tonight to get caught up with last week's posts.  Here is what went on today.

We are getting ready for a blizzard here!!  Tomorrow night we can get anywhere from 6"-12" + & winds up to 30+ mph with gusts up to 60 mph in some places.  We may be snowed in for a few days!  Hunter will spend the night to help shovel snow.  Then he can go shovel or help Grandpa snowblow at the places he is supposed to do.  Please pray everything stays good here & people have a safe place to stay warm.

Willie is doing better now.  His INR is 2.3, a bit low, but okay.  The ENT Dr. likes it there, but the Cardiologist would like it 2.5-3.5.  Much better than 4.6, that is for sure!

The Dr. appt. today went well.  The Dr. said he looked good & he gave him a letter so he can go back to work.  He just isn't supposed to overdo it lifting.  He will take that in tomorrow.  They probably won't start him until January.  Now to make it til then!  There is still a murmur, but you can live with that.  Please continue to pray for scar tissue to seal the leak.  Thank you.  I hope everyone has a good day.

    Sorry this got so big!!
Granny Barbie!  Sure hope they find out how to fix your blood problem.  Hope PaPa is doing good.  You take care & hang in there!

We have decorated outside & some inside.  We won't put our tree up until next week one day.  Well, it is cold here by the computer, so until tomorrow, Take care all.  Beth

Hi all!  Brought DS into the doc yesterday.  They need to put tubes in his ears.  His ear drum is not working correctly and he has a minor hearing loss.  I hope this fixes it.  I hate the idea of tubes, he never had ear infections until last year and that was because of his tonsicls.  So, I was feeling great yesterday, brought him to the doc and today, I am sick. errr

It is snowing out.  I quick ran out to pick up the presents the dog leaves in the yard so the kids could have fun in the snow.

I put our tree up on Thanksgiving.  Last weekend DH put another one up in the livingrroom.  That is to many trees for a small house!  I forgot to get rid of the tree a few christmas's ago when I got a new one.  I did not put lights outside this year.  But the extra tree is in the front window and DH put a lighted snoopy int he window so it looks like it is the star on the tree from the street.  A few neighbors called to let me know they were glad I was finally getting into the Christmas mood.  I was like - sorry it is DH not me. Which totally suprosed them because he is such a ba humbug.  Guess one of us needs to be one....

I have been shopping online for gifts.  Hard to get into a store when kids are with you 24 - 7.

Take care - praying for all of you.

    Hi, everyone.

Had a busy week, so far. We were up north for a couple of days for an aunt's 90th birthday party. Nice to see relatives not often visited. Came home and had a problem drain in the basement floor by my washing machine. Had to call Roto Rooter and that cost lots a $$$$$. But, no nasty water bubbling up on the floor, anymore. Now, it is weather.

I did go out early this morning and did several errands and some shopping. Had an inch of snow by dinner time and now there are 5 to 6 inches of snow here. BETH, bet you have more than that by now.

AMY, are you in the blizzard's path, too?

MARY, any snow by you? Seeing this storm started in the west, it is affecting lots of us. Heard it was 40 degrees by DENISE, today.

Like some of you, no tree up either. Don't know if it will be the big tree or a small one. IL DD and family won't be here until after Christmas. Working in a hospital, it is her turn to do the holiday.

Lots of prayers for those with health problems.

From the looks of the weather, I will be hibernating Wednesday. That will give me time to do some decorating and wrapping the few gifts I do have, already. And, I have to make a couple more cards.

Yes, we have snow!  DD had a snow day yesterday and another one today.  We got around 5" yesterday and we were supposed to get another 5" overnight which it looks like we did.  Wind picked up also, so we have some drifts also.  I haven't seen this much snow at oonce for a long time.  Since I have to work on Saturday, I asked yesterday if I could take today off as my extra day and they said "yes" with the weather forecast, so I am home today too.  DH didn't have to go to work today either - only essential positions needed to go in today.  He's going to go out and shovel shortly.  Looks like more snow expected early next week too.  We just might have a white Christmas this year.

I only have my DD's big gift this year purchased already and a couple of small things for her.  DH and I bought a new printer Thanksgiving weekend for our big gift.  We bought a HP photosmart premium which we love so far.  It prints great pictures.

I have posted several times in the past few days and I see it is not taking... ahhh computers. Radio newscaster said it was 34 degrees in my town this AM at 7:30... yesterday was much colder or at least it felt like it I just could not get warm and everyone else was complaining about the same thing. It was weird... a bone chilling cold and yet it was in the 50's go figure. Made me wonder if I really did want to move out of CA ....... MARY did you have 5' or 5" of snow???? for those of you getting snow stay warm and safe. This is going to be a very small christmas this year... we are going to be concentrating on the kids and very few things for us... if we get them at all... I know that sounds funny at least to me but truthfully all I really want is my Mom home and better... when did I grow up??? Not much more to say except say warm, stay safe and enjoy the weather and your family. Love you all lots MARY glad to hear about the printer makes me want to get one.

Hi!  I would not call my path a blizzard.  Schools shut down but not business.  The roads were slick today.  DH worked from home today Big Smile  I went to the doctors and found out I have pneumonia.  DH has to work tomorrow Sad  I am homeschooling my youngest this year so he HAS to have school tomorrow.  I have to find the energy for that one.  I hope you all are staying warm!

AMY ... I've done all my shopping online this year too.... trying to get out in this cold damp weather in a wheelchair and fight with crowds is a huge dont wanna do.

We've got our tree up and I love it!  we didn't decorate outside either. .. I have a large Santa Claus kneeling at the manger scene with the baby Jesus. Going to see if I can put it somewhere so I can take pixs of the boys with it at least.  didn't get to send out any cards... too expensive for the postage ... I always loved sending out handmade or bought cards with a letter .... and especially enjoyed receiving  cards, photos, and letters...

AMY, MARY, BETH,  and NANCY .... our weather here would be a heat wave for ya'll... suppose to be in the 20's tomorrow but it was in the 40's today and drizzling kinda like DENISE'S  forecast. Ya'll stay warm as possible... and keep the heavy snow there ... we did have some snow flakes one day but not enough to capture with a camera.

NANCY.... having a reunion of family members is always a great thing to do ... its bittersweet though for you realize who passed away and what family history went with them.  Glad you had a good time at your Aunt's birthday .... I think how many years down the road for me to be 90 yrs. and there is no way I could do it. haha

MARY... does your new printer print on 12 by 12 paper?  those are tremendously  popular these days but have heard they cost a lot of moolah too.  Enjoy your Christmas gift!!

DENISE.... how is your mama doing?  and is your daddy coping with her being not at home? after going through Papa's month away ... its sure not easy.  Bless your heart hon cause I know all of this is taking a toll on you too. Hope the boys will bring that "healing" only grandbabies posess.

My prayers remain to be said for ya'll ... and also I would like to ask  for prayers to continue for Papa to find a way to the surgery on his neck arteries and for the drs. to find what is happening inside of me.

A Blessed Christmas hug to ya'll,
    Granny

NANCY.... having a reunion of family members is always a great thing to do ... its bittersweet though for you realize who passed away and what family history went with them.

I think about the family history part often. My Mom doesn't talk about her childhood often and my Aunt, whom I didn't have contact with for 20 years has dementia. (I didn't have contact because my Mom and Aunt were at odds and as a child a decision was made for me.) My Mom and Aunt are 1st generation Italian-American so I know virtually NONE of my grandparents history since most of their family was still in Italy. Unfortunately my Aunt is being cared for by people who don't/won't keep me informed. She's in MD and I'm in FL so it's difficult for me. The nursing home won't talk to me becasue of HIPPA (stupid thing). It makes me sad.
