Glad everyone is working with yarn. I'll look in my yarn to see if I have the right size for that Cardigan sweater.

Been busy this week- my son is starting college with my other son (after a few years building up money, so he doesn't have to pay back a student loan that has interest on it), so books and planning classes with work schedules are going on.

Still working on the scarf but here's the thing:  I started it some time ago and followed the pattern exactly.  So recently when I decided to add a bit more with same yarn but a different colorway, for some reason it was looking just a bit different. Couldn't be the yarn, decided it was the tension, undid it, checked my needle size got a few inches done, nope, still doesn't look right.  The thing was I preferred the start section more than the added section.  Finally!! I figured it out!!!  In the first part I was doing the slip stitch as if to purl;  the added section I did the slip stitch as if to knit.  Just that little thing made a difference, it gave the stitch a twist that I wasn't liking.  So undo again and now it's right and Linda is happy!  Linda is just a bit OCD maybe??? Confused

    Hello Everyone

I have been busy crocheting an outfit to give my new great neice this weekend at a shower I am hosting at my sister's in Minneapolis. I have also been busy trying to bake for the shower. I made 48 carmel rolls and 48 muffins on Saturday and put in freezer.

LInda so glad you got your problem figured out. I am the same way. If I know there is a mistake I have to fix it no matter how far I have to rip out.

I have also been busy canning salsa with all the tomatoes we have gotten. Yesterday I made a peach pie with peaches I had gotten. Wonderful crate of elberta peaches. Yummmm.

School starts here tomorrow. 1st day of Kindergarden for two of my grandchildren. They grow up way too fast.

Its back to work Monday. Weekends are never long enough. Have a good day everyone. Jeanette

, I just thought of yesterday. My son went to college for the first day, and I remember when he went to kindergarten on the first day, and I took a picture of him holding his little notebook. I said to him yesterday, "should I take a picture of you with your notebook?" Time sure goes by fast!

Still slowly working on that shawl and thinking about making that cardigan.

Ok finished the add on to the scarf, I'll set it aside and wait until I get more leftovers from another project.  Now working on a spiral scarf that I decided isn't quite long enough and adding to that.

The last baby afghan is still staring at me waiting to have it's 3 sides of the border completed Angry

That stitching is very nice! Looks great!

I've made a cross stitched Monopoly board, but I need to put it under glass (a frame), so we can use it. I've made many patterns too. I used to make those magnets for refrigerators (I put a fabric backing and the magnet on the back), but I've made so many, I'm "magnet out" now.

I need to finish that shawl before I start another project. I just don't want more than one project going on at once because I don't want to forget or not work on, the older project.
