Rox- to fix the dumb shower handle (and yes he knows it) probably means taking off the tile, opening the wall, installing new fixtures and pipe. It is really beyond DH skill level- but he will not admit it, and will not hire someone.
Ok- I have nothing planned for today, nothing defrosting for dinner, flying by the seat of my pants!
Kallee- That is a bummer indeed. And I don't suppose you could give him notice that you are going to call someone? Do you know anyone? I would imagine it will take two different people- one to do the plumbing, and one to redo the tiles. Get the hammer. You must really be patient; I'd be complaining. Shows you're a better person than I am.
Elder d and I just took Sydney for a 20 minutes walk. Didn't go far but it was okay.
Gotta decide dinner. Elder says tacos again but I don't think so. I think I will pull out a roast for tomorrow... I think. But that means going to the store again to get potatoes, and I really don't want to.
Wish younger d would get up so that we can go check on her application. Not that I expect any openings at the moment but at least it'll show some initiative on her part and the hiring guy might remember her if she keeps checking.

I think we could fix Kallee's plumbing. I'm an expert ya know. Watching all those home improvement shows. lol I really do think we could all fix the plumbing and re-tile the area again. This isn't a hard job. I wonder why Jim doesn't want it fixed.
Kallee-You fly high by the seat of those pants! So glad to hear you have a day that won't squeeze all of the energy out of you. I remember you asked about sight-seeing in this area. You mentioned a specific site or place. Pls remind me the name of it please.
Rox, You seem to have taken the day by the tail too. Is Yvonne on your insurance? If she is she can make a few trips to the store for you. I'm glad you had some time alone with your eldest d.
I've decided on Colorful Kielbasa for dinner. We've been winging it a few days so I wanted to plan dinner today. I need a shower and to get some work done before 7th Heaven comes on @ 4pm.
Jenni- On our way to the store to check on younger d's application so will get potatoes while we're there.

I am feeling very anxious today. Not sure why but my stomach is churning and my head is throbbing. Hoping it goes away soon. I hate feeling this way.

So glad to see you. Was thinking about you a couple of weeks ago. I hope your absence means that you've been doing well. I'm ignorant- what does S.A.D. stand for? I hope you will come and chat whenever you want. Eeyore is my favorite character. I hope you can put up with all of us women, LOL.
Leora- I think we all know that anxious feeling. I hope you figure out what it is so that you can get rid of it.
S.A.D. is Seasonal Affective Disorder which is depression usually brought on by the reduction of daylight or the shortening of days. I get it pretty severe, usually starting a little later than this and lasting through the Winter until late Spring. My Dr. put me on antidepressants last year, but they don't seem to be working this year.And I hope that what you were thinking was good!
John- Don't anti depressants take about six weeks to see the full effect? Or are they all different? Can you let your Dr. know that the meds aren't working? Maybe you need a stronger, or different, med. Are you fine when S.A.D. isn't kicking in?
John- seeing you post made my day! We think about you often. I know that as the holidays approach for you it adds to the mood- come hang out with more often. Cooking anything new? Any recipe to share?
DGS were just perfect today- no trouble at all.
Leora- kick that feeling in the buttkus- I understand though. Sometime it just comes out of nowhere. Perhaps a brief brisk walk in the fresh air could help?
Jenni- it was Kansas City- I am trying to find some extra sightseeing to build in around the Neb trip to entertian family that has seen so much of the area.
