Morning everyone. This needs to be quick as I am having a sneezing fit! LOL. I was going to go riding yesterday afternoon (Weather was perfect!), but ended up on a mission to find a simple black skirt. I had to go to 3 different stores to find my size. The reason I needed it was to go to a wake last night. No one I know, so sympathies are not in order. Jenn, maybe you could wrap the plants in plastic bags and then towels/blankets. If the are watered well and kept warm they should do okay. Kallee, sounds like you created a special night for DD. Great job MOM! Gotta run, I'll check in later. Hello to everyone!! Have a great day!
Drs appts went well. Nothing serious just check ups on some ongoing problems. Same old same old.
Kallee you always do such great stuff for your kids. I bet that dinner was so special.
My Grandmother is no longer able to eat or drink she is being given water a few drops at a time. She is barly awake at all. Please pay for her to be at peace.
I did not get much sleep last night so I am not real clear minded. I hope you all have a blessed day.
Jenni your trip sounds like fun.
PLL I hope you made it home safe and sound.
Leora- Maybe your grandmother is waitting for an ok from someone. I hope she doesn't have to suffer like that for to long. Poor thing. And I hope it's not to hard on you or your family.
Jenni- Those cookies in a jar would be nice. You put everything to bake the cookies in the jar. Or Muffin mixes. Sorry that's all I can think of. Oh last year my Sister-in-law made everyone jam.
Babysitting early today! Wich means off early yippy! That excites me! Except I have to get the 7 year old up and ready for school, plus try to get DD up and ready. 8 o'clock will be stressful for me! But it's only for a half an hour!
Think I might go shopping today! Allens been doing most of it for a while now and I'm just ready to do it again!
For all you- When the kids and I were sick, it was most likely the swine flu. It's going around the elementary school that the room-mates daughter goes too! And it's not as bad as people are putting it out to be! You just have to keep hydrated and controll the fever. DD's was the worse, her temp spicked at 104 one morning but I gave her some fever reducer and it went down to 99. I made sure my kids did nothing, well tried with DD but she's naturally a busy body! But she did take naps and didn't fight them either!
Well I got to get going! I need to get myself ready before the madness begins! lol
have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone and those I haven't met yet since I was gone. I got home yesterday afternoon. I had a ticket for later int he afternoon, but I was able to get on a much earlier flight. Unfortunaly, when I checked in at the gate, the agent didn't tell me where the gate for the earlier flight was, and I ended up walking all the way to the new gate, which was the walk from h#ll. My feet are so sore today it's unrreal. Judy picked me up and I visited her for a little while before I went home. Today I'm really pooped; I may end up sleeping most of the day, but I'm going to try to stay awake or I won't sleep during the night.
I had a really nice visit with my sister. Even though she had to work it was quite an adventure. We went up the coast of Maine on Saturday and drove through the small towns on the shore. It was really beautiful! There was a storm coming in though, and Sunday was rainy and cold. Of course it seemed really cold there anyway since the weather here is in the 70s, not 40s.
Well I'm going to get some more coffee. TTLY.
Cold and rainy here in the North. I had a hard time convincing myself that it was worth the pain (in my back) to attempt to get out of bed this morning. Burrr! But the doggies need to be put out and feed their daily cookie and my kitties like their food early in the morning, so out of bed I managed to be.
Nothing special planned today. Most of my "Morning Chores" are done and I thought I'd visit here for a while.
Have a great day and God Bless!
Susie
howdy all-
Susie- isn't great how our pets force us to keep up a routine. Mine also get a morning cookie- and they do not let me forget it.
Kelly- I would have fudged and wore black pants- it is a rare day that you find me in a skirt anymore.
Leora- sounds like the time is near- prayers for your dear GM and your family- I hope she will soon be dancing with her honey, and that you will feel a peace about it.
Meridith- WELCOME HOME! I bet the kittties have missed you!
Jen- how scary about the flu- in San Diego CO there have been about 25 deaths- one was just a 5 yr old girl that had only been sick 2 days- so very sad.
Jenni- I have a killer recipe for bread and butter garlic pickles that can be made from cheap store bought dill pickles- One big jar from Sams will make about 12 smaller jars- for under $5 If you think that would work as Christmas presents I will post the recipe. One thing I did last year that went over well was to mix a can of cranberry sauce (not whole) with a big jar of dijon mustard till smooth- then packed it in small canning jars and kept in the fridge- it was a big hit with ham, on sandwiches, as a pretzel dip....
Cheryl- did your GS get a flu shot?? Our area it is not available yet.
Hello to Rose, Theresa, Cheryl, Lorith...forgive me if I missed anyone- will come back on later today.
Good evening!
DIdnt make it this morning..back to work. BLAH! (ok bad attitude)
Kallee he hasnt had it yet no..him and my dd will soon here. Littlest one has to wait a bit longer..think 6 months. Jon and I got ours a couple wks ago. Waiting for the swine vac to arrive. The little ones will not be getting that one tho. NOT enough research on it...so scary. THey are stay at home kids for the most part anyway..its just when they go out to the store etc that we worry about.
So how is everyone????
