Is anybody done making or buying gifts? We have a few things that we bought for the littlest grands. I don't know if we'll make gifts or buy them? Which is more important to you...time or money?

Honey and I did a quick walking trip to a couple of thrift shops, looking for a table to put in my little craft area. He wants me to buy a roll top desk but I'm not sure I want that. Aside from which, they want $100 for it. 25 sure, 50 maybe, but not 100.
nothing on the menu for today, just hanging around. Honey is working on his stuff, daughter is gone for the day so I am just going to finish my bible study stuff and enjoy the not-having-to-do-anything day. except I have to come up what I'm going to do with the chicken for tonight.

Glad you had time to stop in. Weekends are so busy for people that work outside their homes during the work week.
I think Bubba will be growing a beak anytime. He had been doing most of the grocery shopping and he comes home with a lot of chicken. Then he wishes he had picked up more pork and beef. He works so hard for us. I'll make him anything he wants for dinner.
I'm better emotionally since Colleen went to heaven. I am so happy for her. Sad for her family and her friends.
Back to not sleeping well. What's up with that anyway???

I laughed at Bubba growing a beak. We eat a lot of chicken, too so I understand exactly what Bubba means, lol. Had it tonight and it was really boring. I think I fried it too long, and I think I'm kind of sick of chicken. thinking about it leaves a chicken taste in my mouth. YUK! Man oh man we had some last week that was really awful. It's the first time I understood what the commercials meant when they advertised about other brands plumping chicken up with water. It was awful. I think I'll stick with Tyson.
yeah, what's up with the not sleeping well again? I've had the opposite problem... all I wanted to do is sleep. Hence the increase in med last week.
Sometimes I think I'd like to get a job, to earn the extra money, and everyone would love for me to get a job because it would show how much better I am. But the thought of getting one is really scary. I need a job that doesn't put me in the middle of a crowd of strangers, and I always plan for quick exit if I start to panic, and I can't be alone with a male whom I don't know. I can do my grocery shopping and put gas in the car and I'm fine now, but new places are still hard for me. When I do new places, or places that are really big (even if I've been there a lot), I still like to have someone with me. I will finagle it so that I don't have to go alone. It usually means that my daughter or Honey goes with me. A no-brainer job, which I could do from home, would suit me perfectly. Did that make sense?

Today is a rather quiet day for me. Jim's oldest & her boyfriend are coming for dinner. That's it!! Wow! My boss is gone to the World Equestrian Games(to watch) so this week will be crazy at work and then I'm off to parts unknown for my vacation! YIPPY!! Connor took his last driving lesson yesterday, so should go for his license in the next 2 weeks or so. Yikes!! Sounds like we all have sleeping problems. How I wish I could just sleep normal! So yesterday I went to the salon & spent a whole weeks pay on my hair! Whoops! I LOVE it though. LOL! Okay, gonna run. TTYL!

As far as Christmas - I can't think of that yet! I've got 3 family birthdays to get through first, plus Halloween (the girls still go trick or treating) & Thanksgiving (my year to host)!!

Pud- I can't imagine hosting Thanksgiving... I think I'd rather think about Christmas lol. I think I've only ever cooked two turkeys and one of them was for turkey ala king, so I didn't have to worry about how it turned out, lol... and that was a few years ago. I'm so terrible at getting meals together. LOL Tonight I made pizza; got it all cooked, pulled it out to eat... and realized that I'd forgotten the cheese! lol.... thankfully no one was in the house so I just put the cheese on and baked it another 10 minutes, just in time for daugher to walk in and ask if it was done yet. lol
Honey woke me up this morning and I got up and then wondered, "it's monday, I don't have get up, she doesn't have class today"... short-lived 'cause I then remembered it was Sunday, and, yes, I did have to get up.
It's been a real quiet day today. Watched "Baby's Day Out" with the family, and made pizza.. that's about it. and now daughter and I are watching "Back To the Future II"
7:00 and it's still in the 80's. Not too bad.
