    Hi everyone.
We need to really get those prayers going up! I came home from mom's late last night and found this email from Doris. I sure wish I had been home earlier in the day so I could have passed this on earlier.

    ((((((Doris & Guenter))))))

    Hi.
    Please send prayers.
My dh is having that darned diarrhea that can't be stopped and having a colonoscopy again this AM. (erica's note: that would have been Monday morning)
Pray that they find an answer for him. Thanks!!!!

I'm heading to bed but before I go I must say that I am horrified at the fires in CA.

Robin, are Kris, Jeff and the Mighty 3 OK? I watched the news and can't image how a 1/4 of a million people that have been evacuated are coping. That would be like 1/3 of my city - what a traffic jam! and where does everyone go? Please keep us posted if you can.

I know Marge was threatened with fires this summer, but in comparison, that only affected a small segment of the population as they were in the country and not near an urban center.

Annette, any news about your friends who are homeless? ((((Annette)))) as I know you care so much for others.

Waving at Krrispy. May your day be the kind where you get everything done that you need to accomplish.

Well, there's a lot happening in our circle.

Thought I'd check in before I head for bed. Prayers for all in need, especially those in So. Cal., with ailing DH's, etc.

I had my 3rd BCG treatment today (for the bladder cancer), so tonight is my 'icky' night. Not sick, just uncomfortable!!! By morning I will be fine! But, I am half way done ~~ only 3 more to go, then a check up in Dec.

DD#1 and I spent some time in an Amish furniture store today ~~ she is lookinig for a dresser to go with her bedroom furniture (that she got at an Amish auction in Wisc.). We found lots of pretty things, now all she has to do is decide which one she likes best. Ugh!! We need to start doing some redecorating in the house, and also purchase some new furniture, especially for the bedroom and living room. I also would like to have a grandfather clock, but am still looking for just the 'right one'. Some day...........

Other than go to a Ladies Stagette on Wed. night (cocktails, dinner and cards), I have nothing planned for this week. I can hardly believe it. Maybe this week I can get some more food into the freezer and also do some baking. Will check the Recipe Board and see what I can find there. I absolutely love quiet weeks like this ~~ they happen so seldom. Well, it is bedtime ........ see you all sometime tomorrow.

Oh boy, I am so tired. Kris,Jeff and the Mighty 3 might be evacuated. People on her street have already left. Even her next door neighbor. They might come anytime. My whole house is filled with this awful dirt that blew in. It's everywhere because windows were left open too. I wonder if it will ever go away?

Larry flies out tomorrow. I'm so worried about it. Man this is just so stressful.

Got to go do a few things before they come.....goodnight all...Robin

    Good Morning Everyone,

Robin, prayers going up for you and your families safety with the fires in Caliifornia...It is truly unbelieveable. I saw on the news, that 11,000 firefighters are battleing to put the fires out. Keeping you, your family and everyone is my thoughts and prayers.

((((Doris and Gunther)))) Many prayers being said for Gunther and for you too.

Good Morning Sandy!! Hope you are feeling better this morning. We are enjoying a fairly quiet week here too. But next week starts the appointments again. I am so into today where we have no place to go and maybe I can get a few things accomplished.

Good Morning, Hauke!! How are you today?? Hope you are feeling more rested.

Michelle, sure sounds like you and DD are getting along better, which is great news. Her talking about Community College is a very positive sign.

Not much new here. I slept well, which is a big plus for me. It is raining here now, which we need badly.

Sandy, I saw a recipe posted last week for a pumpkin bread with cream cheese filling in the middle. I am pretty sure it was one of Krisspy's recipes. I saved the recipe to try. It sounds so good. I can post the recipe if you would like to see it. I am thinking of tring it for Thanksgiving.

I hope you ALL have a good Tuesday. Prayers to all in need.

    Hugs,

    Mary

I just wanted to say, Welcome Home, Nancy and Russell. I hope you enjoyed a good get away after all that you have been through. I am sure it felt good to get away from everything and get other things on your mind.

I saw on the news this morning that the fires if California are still really devastating. They don't expect the winds or conditions to change till Thursday!!! Prayers to Robin and family and all those faced with this horrible fire and weather conditions.

Time to get a move on, make beds, shower and try to accomplish something wonderful.

    Morning.

I had an awesome sleep and slept for at least 8 hours. I felt great when I got up, but as I sit here waiting for my coffee I find myself yawning. LOL Hurry up coffee! LOL

Robin, my last thoughts as I fell asleep last night were about your kids and GKs... and the first thought this morning was 'wonder how far the fire got' Radio report did not sound good. From here, all we can do it pray.

((((Doris and Guenter))))) you're in my prayers. May today be a better day and healing come. I wonder if this problem is related to the transplant or if it's a bug of some kind.

Sandy, did you make it through the night? Hope you're feeling better this morning.

Mary, quiet days are nice! Enjoy yours!

Welcome home Nancy. How was the trip?

Michelle, is DD out of high school already or is she still in school. I know she's 18 but I can't remember, did she graduate in the spring 2007?

Joyce, it's not often I beat you to the DC in the morning. LOL You must be busy at work today!

Marge, soup is one of my favorite things. It's so filling, it's 'cheap' and it's healthy - especially homemade made from scratch. I like being able to control the 'stuff' that places like Liptons and Campbells put into theirs.

Annette, how goes the aprons? What kind of price do you put on them? Do you make the half apron, or the full type?

Well, my coffee's ready so I'm off to find some breakfast. SYAL

Boy where has the time gone since Saturday?

Sunday was church, after church I was coffee hour host, then lunch out, then supper with DD and her friend. After that back to church since we're sponsers for a couple going through Journey in Faith.

Monday I went to Curves. DH went for a walk. Then DH had to go to the dentist to have a crown replaced. We weren't 5 miles out of town on the way to Tennessee when his crown came off. Then it was to church again. This time we had to look beautiful since our pictures were being taken for the new church directory. That was a job and a half!! LOL!!!

Today it was to South Bend to talk to the banker handling DH's profit sharing and my investment account. Then we went to Chinese buffet.

Finally I have a few minutes to call my own!!

Mary I've tried the Sleep. I'm getting at least 6 hours at one go. That's much better then 2-3 hours then awake for 2-3 hours before I can sleep again.

My prayers are going out for all of those needing them today.

I hope I can spend more time checking out the posts tomorrow.

    Everyone take care. Carol

I am on my way out the door but wanted to stop in and let Robin and Doris know I am thinking of them and praying as well.
I know the fear of the fire but ours was not even on the same levil as the Ca one because we don't have the population and although we had a lot of wind it is nothing compared to the Santa Ana, then as soon as this is over they will have the rains and with no folage to hold the water there will be floods.
They have sent fire fighters and Red Cross from Wa & Ore. Doris I can only imagine your fear & stress you have both been through so much.
I need to go. Hugs, Marge

Kristy and Jeff can't get into their home. It is now blocked a half mile down their hill. They live up the hill. Went to the Mall here with the Mighty 3 and the boys ran and got exhausted so we ate and then Kris is taking them to her best friends house to nap and they will be here tonight. She already had her car loaded and will be ok with that.

Got to go and prepare for the Mighty 3. Can feel prayers from you all. Thank you.....Robin

Hauke – Shows how much I notice. I had to look three times before I saw that "Tuesday" was spelled wrong! Thank you for letting us know about Doris and DH. Yes, it was a busy day at work today.

Poor Doris and Guenter! I feel bad for him. I hope things clear up for him and he can get back on the road to a speedy recovery. Prayers definitely going up.

Sandy – I hope you are feeling better today.

Robin – I would be so scared of getting caught in the fire. I am so afraid of fire. Prayers for all of you. Stay safe.

Mary – Enjoy your quiet week. I'm glad you slept well last night.

Carol – You've been a busy lady! I'm glad you slept well last night, too.

Marge – I'm glad you were able to peek in for a bit.

    Hi Everyone,

Prayers to all in need. Robin, keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. We are watching all the news coverage on the fires and know how devastating they are. Even worse, is when you know the people who are faced with this danger and especially when they are our sisters.

Hi Marge!! Glad to see you stopping by!!! Hope all is well with you.

Sandy, hope you feel better today!!

Carol, that is ashame your DH crown had to be replaced. You sound pretty busy too. I am glad the Sleep is working for you. I use it every night and fall asleep right away, but sometimes I am awake too early. I have been using the Sleep for years now.

We are having much needed rain. I did alot of odds and ends and cooked a good supper. I am going to post the recipe for Butternut Squash and apples..it is so good. I used brown sugar splenda in place of the brown..it was great. We had turkey thighs for supper and they were so good and so juicy. I am tring not to make beef that often and turkey is not one of DH's favorites, but he even said it was good.

Hi Joyce...hope all is well with
    you!!!

Annette, how is your DH feeling???

Wishing you ALL a good evening.
