This may not be the best time to drive north from southern Missouri, however, our daughter who lives in Duluth is moving and needs help - so the trip needs to be made.  We plan to go to Kansas City and the on north from there (KC is 5 hours from here) - this is 4 lane all the way from Springfield, Mo on - the 2nd option is to go to Columbia on 63 (this is two lane) and then on to DesMoines and pick up 35 from there.  We need to make the trip in one day so which is best, anyone know?  We are watching the weather channel pretty closely.

I am preparing food to take because daughter's electricity will be turned off in the old place with 24 hours before it is turned on in the new place.  Chicken salad in pita bread (I like to mix in some seasoned croutons) and sf brownies made with sf chocolate pudding and sf applesauce.  Trying to think how we can heat things up - maybe take the camping stove.  I have to have coffee in the morning or else!

We are encouraging daughter to move closer to home - she is trying to survive a divorce that has turned into a rock-throwing contest. Really bad for her and her two children, one of whom is autistic and does not understand why his dad tells him things about his mom.

I know that trials and tribulations are part of life and living, but why does it come in such large batches?
