Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Monday to you ALL!! Another week, another excitement....LOL Wonder what will happen this week?? I am sure this week will fly by fast too...Mom has her eye doctor appointment today and Ron and I will stop at the Personal Care home to pay the rent on Mom's room and maybe take a quick peek at the room to see again what she might need...
We went for a ride yesterday late afternoon, to the valley to see what damage the storm did down there... Those people are still out of electric...There are Electric Companies here from other areas helping out.. I was amazed at how many different trucks from other areas that I saw here yesterday....I heard a lot of areas won't have electric until today... I can imagine lots of people lost the food in the freezers and by now are pretty darn discussed...
In the valley we didn't see any Elk or animals, but its a nice ride....We checked DD house, watered plants and made sure the cat had her food and fresh water....Came home so Mom could make the Phyllis call and I think I went to sleep pretty soon after....
Peggy, nice find at the yard sale...I am sure the pot will look nice at your garage...I used to have one of those big copper kettles that some people put in the yard... I never knew what happened to it, if we sold it or what.. I am sure that was worth some bucks too...It was a no go here for me with yard sales, but there really isn't too much I need anyway...LOL I just love the looking...
Joyce, did you have Maycee??? I talked to Mattie on the phone this week and boy, was that entertaining...She tells me all sorts of things that are going on....LOL She told me her Daddy said if she didn't stop talking he was going to put tape on her mouth....She said she put her daddy in time out and threw the remote out the door.....Makes me wonder what is going on there??? I do love talking to her though.... Mattie asked me if I was getting my knee "cut off"....LOL So the more Maycee talks, the more fun she will be.. I love the age when they are starting to talk.. Sometimes I think we should all see the world through a childs eyes...
Nancy, lots of church activities for you yesterday.... No wonder you needed a nap...
To the rest of you wonderful lady's, I hope all is well for you too and you enjoy a great day......
Hugs, Mary
Susan – I'm so sorry to hear about your foot. I hope it just a fracture, given the two things it might be. Please do keep us informed. Prayers to you.Maycee and I had a good time. She is still here. I will bring her home as I go to work.Mary – I'm glad you got your hair cut and colored. I'm sure glad you have power now. That was some storm. I'm glad you got to talk to Mattie. She sounds adorable. I had to laugh at her putting Daddy in time out!!! Yes, we should definitely all see life through the eyes of a child. I can't wait to take her to the state fair.Sandy – Sounds like you had a big storm, too. The pig pot sounds like you got a great deal.Nancy – Your church did a lot for the other church. That's a good feeling. At our church, we always have a second collection for different things. Yesterday was for a food pantry that we help out. I heard on the news this week that people stole some of their copper piping, so the money that would go to food had to be pent on new pipes. So I put in more than I normally do. Yes, Maycee did tell me a little about the animals.
Hi all.. Quiet day in here today - but if everyone internet is as slow as mine is today, no wonder there is not chatting happening.
It seemed to take forever to load the site and then even longer when I hit REPLY.
I am so excited. Our church Family CampMeeting is happening in a city to the south of us about 1.5. I had planned on getting up early and driving down for today's session. The speaker is a Barbara Yoder from Michigan and from what I've heard from friends, she's suppose to be a great speaker. Later this week we will have Paul Keith Davis and a Chuck Pierce - in total I think 8 different speakers over the 10 period.
Yesterday in church they showed us a replay of the Friday night meeting with John Paul Jackson. Wow ... powerful message.
That's also when I discovered that they are showing the meeting LIVE over the internet ... so I was at the service this morning and able to be at home doing month end things that need doing. And I can hear tonight's meeting too. All without spending any $$ on gas.
I had originally picked a few days to drive down - but now I'm going to attend from home all week and just go down on the weekend. There is a luncheon on Friday I'd really like to attend and since I'm saving gas funds, I might even just book a hotel and stay for the Saturday and Sunday morning sessions.
Well, I'm going to go grab a late lunch and then get at some books. Hope it all balances without hassles. Those are the kind of month ends I like. LOL
Have a great Monday everyone.

Good Monday afternoon everyone. Beautiful day here after all the really hot weather, in the mid 80's today. Susan how is the foot today? Joyce, if we could see you I bet you are grinning from ear to ear with the fun you have with Maycee. Love the time out for daddy, she will love the fair and you will too. We didn't even go to our state fair this year, its so hot and ours has grown so much throughout the last few years as its attached to the slots and horse racing, all concrete and paved, I loved the dirt and the old way. Prices there are just out of touch for a family, it would cost $18 to get in and then the food,,,way to high. Today I got some things done around the house, swept floors and mopped and just got done putting a pot of strings beans on to cook and made stuffed peppers, they are in the oven. Our security light went out and Eugene and a neighbor changed the bulb and the eye, had to dig it up and lean over in order to do it..hope it works tonight as we have had someone breaking into cars, well most of the cars were unlocked...ours are in the garage, but we do lock them now...Hope all have a wonderful evening..Peggy
Hi, everyone.
Nice day, but hot enough to start the A/C, again.
Spent the morning washing and then running errands. Went to City Hall, WM, post office and the bank.
MARY, I'm sure the next couple of weeks will be busy for you. Loved the Mattie stories. Good that she's a talker when you get her on the phone. Robin, when very small, went thru a "hi-bye" stage.
JOYCE, when is your State Fair? The WI fair starts Thursday. We do not go every year. With the drought, some of the animals have suffered and will not be brought to the fair. The churches being helped are always thankful for the help. Sadly, in Milwaukee's Inner City there were many thefts, too. Air conditioners and even aluminum storm doors were being stolen.
HAUKE, I love the speakers at our rallies and meetings, too. How lucky to be able to hear them on the internet. And, the weekend will be good, too.
PEGGY, I enjoyed the animals at the State Fair, especially the big horses. During our fair there is also a Clydesdale competition. Car thefts happening here, too. And, like you said, mostly from unlocked cars. We have motion lights on the garage and the front and back porch lights are motion lights, too. That's how I see the raccoons dancing on my pation table, sometimes. Now, we have a "skulk" of foxes around here. I had to look up the word for a group of foxes.
Hugs and prayers for all.
Nancy Z.
