Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
Hi Everyone,
Good Morning to you all.. Hope you all are doing well and feeling fine..Thank you for all the Welcomes Homes!! Sorry no dancing for me yet, but soon, I hope...LOL
I had a rough PT session yesterday with my leg and knee swelling to very painful levels... I am still swollen this morning and will call the therapist and grateful that the nurse is coming this morning to check me...I don't know if I should continue with the exercise now or wait till the swelling goes down....I guess all this is in the process of healing, but wow, does it hurt....
The girls might bring Mom over this weekend to visit... Mom is adjusting to the home and doing well....My daughter and I went through Mom's closet a little yesterday and decided when I am up to it, we will clean it out and get rid of some things she doesn't wear....She must have saved every piece of clothes she ever had....It is no wonder she can not find things....
I hope you all are doing well and that things are going good for all of you...Thank you again for the cards...They are all lovely and appreciated....
Love, Mary
WELCOME HOME MARY! So grateful that all went well, you're home, starting to heal & that prayers are answered!
Hope the rest of you are doing well! We're hoping to have a relaxing weekend as this coming week will be extremely stressful. Not sure what the plan for today is. Know we have to go to the grocery at some point but, with such beautiful weather today, am hoping we can also do something fun outside.
Well, was just popping in. Hope you all have an awesome, blessed day!
Susan

Can't believe there is so little activity on here this morning.
Mary, I am sure you are so glad to be home and sleeping in your own bed. Hopefully, the nurse will be of help with your pain and swelling. I hope you brought some "good" drugs home from the hospital!!!LOL Sounds like a good plan to clean out your moms closet while she is away. I think my SIL is the same. She has the biggest closet in the house and it is jammed, but she constantly wears the same ole, and I mean ole clothes. Stained or not. I pray that in 10 years I won't be anything like her.
The other SIL is back in the hospital, again. She is a smoker, extremely obese and has COPD and Emphysema. This time it is pneumonia, again, only they thought they detected a blood clot in your lung on Thursday. They did a scan, but she hasn't heard any official results. The nurse said there wasn't one. We can't convince her to stop smoking and since she is on state health insurance(disability) we pay. I can't get Danny or Sharon to call her and she really would like to talk with either of them. She called me at work on Thursday night, in hysterics because of the clot. She and I really don't get along(about like 2 sitting hens in the same hen house), but yet I'm the one she turns to. I don't get any of it and am so thankful my family is more sane!!!LOL I think.....
sorry about the vent......
Susan, I hope you and Marty do get to do something fun today. All work and no play you know!!!!! You sounded more upbeat this morning than you have in a while, so hopefully, things are looking up for you.
Work was so so last night, but busy the night before. Should be on the slow side this weekend. Monday, I have to have Sharon at the surgery center at-gulp- 7am. Fortunately, I don't have to stay, so I can come home and get a couple more hours of sleep. She should be done between 10 and 11, so I might be able to catch a few more zzzzzzz'z before I head to the mgr meeting at 2pm. Right after the meeting, I work, but should get outby 9pm. Tuesday is a more fun day. Sharon to the eye Dr for the follow up, at 8:30, and lunch with the gals at 11 am. Lunch with another friend on Thurs. love eating lunch out. When I return to work on Wed, it is the start of an 8 day stretch. Not looking forward to that one, but I will then have a day off, work a day, a day off, work 2 days and then one day off. Might have to burn my last 3 vacation days in Sept after that brutal schedule.
Have a good day my friends.
Deb
Good morning, everyone.
We are having some nice 70 kind of weather----cool in the shade, but the sun still warms you up.
MARY, hopefully you will get suggestions for the swelling from the nurse and therapist. I can remember my teacher friend having the same trouble. She lived alone, so had to be in a rehab place. Now, she's goes line dancing. Glad mom likes her new place----who knows?----she may want to stay there.
SUSAN, if you feel an icky week coming up, get lots of rest and calm this weekend. Good that Marty goes shopping with you, that's a big help.
JOYCE, having the faucet fixed should mean it works for a long time. Moving Maggie could mean lots of stuff. Last time at Cathy's they had all of Robin's totes ready to go---they were taking up space in their living room. I don't know her first day back at Loyola.
DEB, I know you have a long week coming up. Hope it's a good one that goes quickly and is profitable.
PEGGY, your booth plan sounds like a good one and less tugging on your wallet. Like JOYCE, I never smoked, but Russell did when he was in the Marine Corps. He stopped over 25 years ago.
Time for lunch, will BBL.
Hugs and prayers for all.
Nancy Z.
Hi everyone. It's a slow and lazy Saturday here. I had planned on doing some cleaning but I seem to be "hooked" at the computer. LOL
Mary, how's the swelling... hope it's going down by the hour.
Deb, I always find it interesting as to who we turn to when things get tough. I've concluded there is no reason to it sometimes. I guess your SIL just recognizes the compassion in your heart.
Joyce, it sure a good thing your plumber is so close or you could have had major water damage the other day.
It's great camping weather here this weekend - not too hot and so far, no rain. LOL That should keep all my kids happy as I think they are all out doors in God's country somewhere this weekend.
Well, I'm off to go surfing ... online. I don't get wet that way. LOL
SYALHauke
I'm saying hello, also. Wanted to see how everyone was, swelling or no swelling, we all have "stuff" to plow through in this life, and on every other board that I am on.
I didn't feel good last night, too many fresh tomatoes!!
Be back tomorrow, dh wants my company to watch tv tonight.
Have a safe and pleasant evening, stay cool and get rest if you need it.
Doris
Hope you all are doing well.....Sounds like everyone is enjoying nice weather and feeling fine...This is good...It was beautiful here yesterday too.. In the 70's and not so hot...really nice...
Deb, what a long week coming up for you....Plus busy with the SIL's.... Prayers to both SIL's....Guess they know who has the compassionate heart to turn too...
Peggy, I would love to see your booth and your plan sounds like a good one.. We drove past a few yard sales yesterday, when we went for a ride, but didn't stop at any...They looked like they were mostly clothes...
Joyce, glad your faucet is fixed...How is little Maycee?? Did you have her lately???
Nancy, Joyce and whoever never smoked...my hat is off to you... I quit about 5 years ago and never really looked back...It was very hard to quit, but worth it... I hope you enjoyed your lunch with BBL....
Hauke, how was your surfing??? Glad you stayed dry...LOL
Ron and I went for a ride yesterday.. His thinking was that I needed to get out of the house...He was right.. A short ride did wonders...He went to the meat store in Ridgway and I stayed in the car....Boy, was that hard for me because I love that store....LOL Last night, he cooked sausage, corn on the cob, sliced tomato and some kind of pickles that he found in the store, that were to die for...It tasted delish.....Maybe today we can get the pasta salad made...
The nurse said, everything is going according to plan with me and things are looking good...I will swell up for quite some time, but that will eventually go down..
Thank you again, for all the cards and well wishes...The cards are so pretty and appreciated so much...
Mary
Good Morning All!
Awesome weather here right now. This morning it's only 58 & clear. Slept with the window open which felt wonderful.
MARY: So glad you are up & about! After my shoulder surgery Marty made me get out of the house once in a while & it did help a great deal. Just be careful & enjoy being taken care of, even if it's a short while!
DEB: Thank you! I'm feeling a little more positive. August is a really hard month for me. Too many bad memories. Once certain dates are over I start feeling better. I have also made the decision to view a few things in my life differently & to let a few others things go which is helping my 'moods' improve.
REST OF DC: Hope you are doing well today!
YESTERDAY, we ended up getting a late start. Marty wasn't feeling the greatest so he slept in. We decided to get the things done in town before doing anything else. On our way to town we remembered there was a car show in the evening, right in our village, & decided to go to that.
Went to the meat market to start stocking the freezer for winter. Our local news station was talking about how high beef prices were going to go this winter, especially the ground, so prompted our trip. Since we use the ground in many ways, ended up getting 10 lbs of ground chuck at $2.99 per lb. They already have everything prepackaged in 1 lb chunks so makes it easier. Their ground chuck is leaner than the ground round we get other places. Ended up only spending $85 with the ground chuck & everything else we bought so was very happy. Gave us a good start on stocking as well.
The car show was fun. It was held in our park & is only a few blocks down the street from us. Got our exercise by walking down. They were playing a lot of the oldies music which made it more fun. Marty knew several people there & had done work on some of the cars so we did a lot of stop-&-talk while looking.
WELL, need to get off of here & get busy. We're taking Adam out to dinner tonight for his birthday so I need to get moving in this house. Hard to believe my baby is 29 today. Reminded him that next year he will be 30 which meant, of course, he reminded me I will be 50 first!
Hope you all have a blessed day!
Mary – I'm glad the nurse came yesterday and reassured you. I'm with Ron, I'm sure you needed to get out of the house. Glad you had a good time. Maycee is wonderful. I am having her tonight. I miss her so much.Susan – I hope you have a quiet Sunday and you can relax and enjoy your day. Deb – You poor thing. Your SIL has really put stress on you. Vent away. I sure wouldn't want to do an 8-day work schedule. You will definitely need a day off after that.Nancy – The faucet says it is guaranteed for life. I sure hope so. I wondered when Robin was going back to school. Maggie had all of her things in the living room, too. Has Bradley started back yet? Hauke – Yes, I am very thankful the plumber is in the area and wasn't tied up. I hope all the kids have a good time camping.Doris – I hope you are feeling better this morning.I had a busy day yesterday, so I didn't get here.We got Maggie all moved at collage. We were left a piece to her bed at their house and she couldn't understand why none of us would jump in our car and go get it (1.5 hours away!). She finally found a friend that was coming down last night to stop and get it. I hope they did g4et it put together. Then came home and mowed. Then my sister called and that's a long phone call. Then I was so tired, I didn't do anything. Our weather has been wonderful this weekend. Blue sky, gentle breeze, no rain, temps right around 80.
Happy Sunday to all. Beautiful day here alot cooler, according to the weatherman its only going to be in the low 80's all week with 60's in the evening,,,,,my kind of weather. We did go to Virginia yesterday, but very few yard sales, only bought 2 items, a dutch tablecloth, it has dutch men and women all over it for .50cents and a fold out red metal stool, its a repro. but looks brand new for $15...dinner out and then home, we stopped at a couple of flea markets but it was all just cheap stuff no antiques at all. Did get my cigs. and they were half the price of the ones here. Today is trip to the booths as my neighbor said they were really busy yesterday and I hope I sold more items. Mary glad you got out it does work wonders just to change your scenery sometimes. Joyce glad you got the student moved in, kids just don't understand the point of riding over an hour for an item do they. Deb, sorry about your sisterinlaw. Will check back in later on. Peggy
Blessing on this new Sunday Morning. Just a reminder for all of us:
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him.For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.Psalm 91
Blessing to each and every one of you ... You are loved!

Hi, everyone.
Lovely weather and will be the same all week.
MARY, just getting out, even for a small ride, gave you a refreshing feeling. And, Ron did well with his meal.
SUSAN, fun at the car shows. A few restaurants have one around here once in a while. They are mostly classic cars. My IL DD and her DH like to do those shows, too. Happy B-day to Adam.
JOYCE, Bradley starts school tomorrow and also has a soccer game. Their last name is krc and you know my DGD's first name----look on FB and go halfway down her page and she is there with Bradley. They are on the Lake Michigan beach near her school. In the picture to the right, she is in the orange top. Some of the pictures are not the best in grannie's opinion. LOL
PEGGY, I like when you tell about a purchase. It makes my brain say, oh, yes, I know exactly what that is.
DEB, hope your DSisIL's know what an angel you are when you help them.
We went to early church today. Lunch was easy, hot ham on hard rolls, with extras on the side. Now, we are going for a little ride.
I can't believe it's already supper. The afternoon went so fast.
But then when you're doing something you love doing, time seems to fly by.
I just finished a 800+ jigsaw puzzle. It was a picture of a shelf of spools of thread - all kinds of colors. It actually went together fast as the colors were so distinct.
Well, now I'm off to the kitchen to make some supper. Hope you all enjoyed your day. I sure did.
