    What does PWD mean?

    I'm a type 2 diabetic, and I've seen in magazines and here in this community, the letters PWD.  I guess I probably should know what those letters stand for, but I don't.  Please someone tell me.

    Debbie, it is my understanding (and I will be the first to admit that I could be wrong on this!) that the term PWD stands for "Person with Diabetes".  It is a term that is being used a great deal in the literature these days and it simply refers to individuals that have diabetes. 

    Are you seeing the initals used like this or are you seeing them used in a different context? If it is a different context, then I am not sure what the PWD stands for.  Perhaps you could share a sentence with us where you have found the initials and hopefully, it might better help us help you find the answer to your question!  Have a good day!

    I've been seeing the term in magazines, and what you said makes sense.

    "Person with Diabetes"  and that's me, lol.
