Hello! Wanted to let you all know what's going on in my neck of the woods. My health has not been good. Sick for months....more and more tests....yikes. Parents are same just slowly not responding to meds. They need more and more help. Now for the good news! Molly (now 10) got one of 2 awards given in 4th grade. Looks like a runway model. Izzy got an artist ribbon and now 7. THE AWESOME FOURSOME: Johnny, now 6, with an IQ of 133 at age 5, has finally gotten on a good med combination. Although, some interesting thugs still happen. Like he hung from the chandler this week and slid down a dangerous railing. Has been in 2 mental facilities this summer...sigh. Carter has mainstreamed to Kindergarten....the teacher loves him! Says he is creative, very funny and does work intelligently. His girlfriend Samantha is in his class, so he is happy. Alexandria now 4 has mainstreamed into Pre K. Platinum bond with big blue eyes, gorgeous. She talks like a teenager. We think she'll even surpass Johnny in brains. She got a stern talking to about bossing her mom. he looks up at mom and says "you taught me how to talk mom,so you taught me how to boss everyone around"....lol Land on is the sweetest little guy ever. Due to very long hearing loss he is also in special classes to catch up. Larry and I try to take trips when our schedules permit but right no health issues take priority. Hope you all have health and good times....alot of love is being sent your way......Robin

    Hi Robin,

I moved your post over to our daily thread so everyone will see it... Good to see you posting..I am sorry to hear that you have been sick and hope you are feeling better...The kids sound wonderful and to be so bright at such an early age...Wow...I am sure your wonderful daughter has her hands full with four children, but she always seemed to have the patience of Jobe. You always seemed to do such fun things and go to such nice places... I hope that you and Larry can go on vacation again soon and that you can rest and relax.....Look for more replies on our daily thread.....I wanted everyone to see your post...

Robin, so nice to hear from you.  I am sorry you have been going through so much medically for the past several months.  Not a good thing to go through.  It is also sad about your parents.  We all go through that, sad as it is.  My mom is coming for a visit this week, and my brother said we will see signs that she is slipping.  Of course she is, she is almost 80!!  Guess he thinks she should stay young in the mind forever!!

Nice update on all the grands.  Does Molly want to be a model?  Maybe Izzy can do a portrait of Molly!!  Wouldn't that be cool?  And then there is the foursome.  Wow!  They say that special need children are generally very smart, and I guess that Johnny is proof.  And it actually sounds like he acts pretty normal for a 6 year old.  No fear and very inquisitive!!LOL  I remember you telling us about Carters girlfriend-glad they are still togetherWink  As for Alexandria, well, it seems as if we see more and more 4 year olds going on 20!!  And they are so cute when they do act like that.  Glad that Landon is getting the help he needs to catch up with his age group.  Kristy has her hands full for sure, and you are great grand.parents for helping out as you do.

Keep in touch as time permits.
