    Good Morning Everyone,

Hauke, I could be ready in an hour to leave for the lake!! Oh what fun that would be to get a vacation....LOL Just imagine all of us together, at the lake, having fun!!! Imagine all the chit chat.....

I hope everyone had a good nights sleep and feels rested today...TGIF to all of you too...

Nancy, prayers to Cathy and hope she is on the road to recovery....Hugs and prayers to you and Russell as you travel to the funeral.....We will all be thinking of you...

Hauke, prayers to your Mom too with her hand surgery....I am sure it is going to be a challenge for her and something to get used to.....I hope all goes well for her....

I baked chocolate chip cookies yesterday and made a double batch...I used the convection oven and the cookies turned out great....No broken ones and a even bake....I am so pleased with the new stove and oven....Today, I am making the pies for the bake sale tomorrow...Beth has a lot of donations and the table will have a nice variety of goodies..One of Beth's friends at work made homemade strawberry jelly, gave her fresh parsley, fresh brown eggs, plus all the baked goods everyone is donating... Cody should reach his goal with raising money so he can start his Eagle scout project at the church in Weedville... Gabby is having a lemon aid stand and someone suggested she take her key board and play the piano....Beth said that would draw a lot of attention to our stand and us...LOL We are going down long enough to help set up as there will be tons of scouts helping out too....Mom can hardly wait to see this tomorrow and is anxious to see the lemon aid stand too....LOL So today, I bake pies....I sure hope they turn out okay and I think they will...my new oven is wonderful...

Everyone take care and I hope all is well with all of you...

    Mary

Nancy – I'm so sorry to hear of Aunt Josephine's passing.  I know she will be missed.  I hope Cathy is doing okay after her surgery and she isn't in too much pain.

Mary – How was the farmer's market?  I hope you got lots of goodies.  I had my face "threaded" on Wednesday.  It did hurt but is so worth it.  I think we should have a DC lake vacation.  That would really be fun.  I don't think we would get any sleep though.  I hope Cody's bake sale goes well and he reaches his goal.

Peggy – I saw on the news how the east coast is having a heat wave.  Stay inside as much as you can.  Sounds like you got some good food at the farmer's market.  I had to laugh at the picture of the puppy enjoying the fan!  I recently saw a recipe using Italian dressing on slaw.  I want to try it.

Hauke – I hope your mother is doing okay after her surgery also.  How did the dinner go last night?  I bet it was fun.  I've always wanted to an Indian restaurant but never had the chance.  Let us know how you liked it.

Doris – I hope the trip to have DH's procedure goes okay.  Safe travels.

I didn't get here yesterday because Maycee wants to sit on my lap when I'm on the computer and it makes it a little hard to type.  We had a great time.  She makes me laugh so much. It is just what I needed.

Good afternoon all, severe thunderstorm advisory here, guess its do to the heat. Hauke hope your mom is doing okay. Did you enjoy your indian dinner, I have never had indian food. Joyce, Maycee wanted to help you type I suppose, never had the threading done, I need to as the plucking hurts big time. Mary you are a baking woman today, sounds yummy. Got some fresh string beans today at a market and they are cooking, will add some baby red skin potatoes and have a london broil marinating for dinner, hope I can grill. Might not be any yard sales tomorrow as we are supposed to have rain, we will see. Hope all have a great weekend..Peggy
