The current weather in Edmonton, Alberta is
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
Good Monday Morning Everyone,
Hope you all had a good nights sleep and feel rested today... We woke up to a nasty thunderstorm this morning and heavy rain.....Ron and I both jumped out of bed at the same time, running to shut down the computer...LOL The thunder was so loud, it even woke me up....LOL
Joyce, how did the garden tour go? I bet you saw some beautiful plants!! Bet you enjoyed little Maycee too and that she put a lot of smiles on your face and heart too...
Deb, how nice to take a trip down memory lane...When we go to New York, there is a town called Cuba, that sells cheese that is made in that area....I always buy the real sharp cheese because it is so good in mac and cheese and casseroles.... I would tend to go over board too, in a cheese shop...LOL Guess it is good, I don't go there often...LOL How is Danny's back? Hope he is feeling better...
Hauke, I saw you found the mother load of cherries, watermelon and fruit!! I bought cherries this week too, at Walmart...They are so good, aren't they? I like the little personal watermelons and right now the price of them is pretty good....I am getting better at picking out a ripe melon....
Nancy, hope things are well with you too....
Sunday, we went for a ride and saw nothing too exciting...I was tired yesterday and really didn't do much, but today I have to work on the laundry and I might do some basement cleaning up....The week of the 4th of July starts our busy month of appointments and reunions,so I am sure the month will fly by...
Everyone take care and enjoy the beginning to a new week....
Mary
I posted a few pictures on FB of the bake sale and a few other things....
Susan – I'm glad your eye exam went well. I like Joe's Crab Shack. Did they have any birthdays? They make the birthday person do funny things. I haven't been there in quite a while.Deb – It sounds like your trip to Pinconning was a lot of fun. The fresh cheese sounds delicious. I'm glad work is picking up. I hope it continues.Doris – I'm sure DH will enjoy the shower. I was a little disappointed in two houses on the garden tour. They were beautiful, huge houses and both had built-in swimming pools, but the gardens weren't that special. As I told my sister, if I were in the market for a new house, they would be what I was looking for, but not as far as a garden tour.Mary – The garden tour was nice. Some of the houses were so pretty with such a variety of flowers. Sometimes we just need a day to relax. I will try to make it to FB to see your pictures. It sure was hot out yesterday. We did get to 92 degrees. We are to be cooler today and tomorrow.Maycee and I are heading to Lowe's now. We need a new bird feeder. The chipmunk destroyed the other one.
Hi, everyone.
We got home late yesterday. What a whirlwind. We visited with Cathy, but they kept her overnight, so we headed home for a quick stop and then right up north for the visitation and funeral. Saw many relatives and Russell's siblings were all there for the funeral. Sister in Chicago did not make it. We did stay an extra day. Now, it's washing all the clothes and sheets, etc, once more.
Cathy feels better each day, so Wed. we are headed back to IL for a couple of days with her and the family.
MARY, still dry by us, but lots of rain up north. A wash out in Clark County killed a couple from Milwaukee when their truck fell into the 14 foot hole. I did read about the bake sale, glad it was a success.
JOYCE, bet Maycee was a good helper choosing a bird feeder. Always fun watching the little ones having fun together as they did at her birthday party.
So, today it's washing and tomorrow I want to make some goodies to take to Cathy's. Laura is making a batch of Snack Mix for us to take along. I also have to plan for blood tests this week or next and then a visit to the doc.
HI to the rest of the gang.
Hugs and prayers for all.
