Lily I have Google chrome now also but I have a short cut to every site I go to regularly so just click on that . I never did use explorer I did not like that one. I always went through yahoo. What I do to start a new paragraph when it won't work is just to put in a few spaces and type a letter or word put the cursor back to the end of the previous sentence and then hit enter it goes down once but I like to go down twice so then I move the cursor to the very front of my new word and hit enter again and I have a new paragraph a bit of a pain but it works.
Jane I hope you don't get to tired or sore to enjoy the weekend. I am going to do my packing tomorrow and take my critters to the kennel. I just had world war three on the porch the dogs got excited about the neighborhood kids and then started chasing the cat they moved a bunch of my porch furniture and had her cornered I was afraid she was going to get hurt. They chased her out of the room to my bed room and out to the kitchen she jumped into the window and sat there. she did not even knock over my avocado plant LOL. but did knock down the tie back. Two boys got spanking I did get a scratch cat lost a little fur and my blood pressure shot up I am sure . Too much excitement and they were getting along so very well too.
We went to WM and out to eat at our favorite Chinese place so no cooking for me today but I did a lot of ironing so do not feel guilty one little bit .
Grammy I was looking in one of my TOH books and saw a recipe using heirloom tomatoes and I thought of you . It looked rather fancy and good too.
Mary I wear a lot of knit tops and those get ironed also they may be sort of like t-shirts but i don't want pictures or writing on my shirts. I don't fold them either they are hung in the closet. I do put my jeans in a drawer but my shorts get hung . I don't iron jeans.
Don't know if anyone is still here. Besides visiting Cathy after her surgeries tomorrow, we will then head north over the weekend. Aunt Joshephine passed away today. So we will attend the funeral and probably be home on Monday. Then, we will get back to visit in IL once more. Lots of traveling for us the next two weeks.
Nancy it sounds like your plate is full . I am hoping all goes well for your DD tomorrow. So sorry to hear about your Aunt Jo. It is good you got to see her recently. It seems she had a long and good life and was well loved by her family. Lots of traveling for you indeed. Will your DD who lives with you be going up for the funeral also? Now you young lady take care of yourself I find my blood sugars get out of wack if my life gets to complicated for some unknown reason so be careful. Probably due to stress.
Hi MJ. I thought no one was going to stay. Looks like Grammy couldn't wait and Jane was tired.
I never have a "bedtime". I go when I feel like it and always have. I've gone to bed at 7:30 if extremely tired and stayed up until 3:30 a.m. if not tired. When I was working I went to 2 and 3 night meetings every week, so it was a good thing I wasn't used to a certain time, or I would have fallen asleep on the chair! LOL But I used to be able to work on only 3 or 4 hours sleep. Can't do that now, however!
We are getting a nice "summer" storm. Thunder rumbling, but not loud cracking and it is raining straight down, with no wind to blow it around. The kind of rainstorm that is nice to lay in bed and listen to. Say we could get about an inch of rain. We need it and it is a good soaking one. Cooled off and the temp. is down to 65*. Will have to pull the blanket back up tonight!
Yep, MJ, lots to do. Laura won't be going along as she has other obligations. And, if we are up north until Monday she has to be at work for the end of the month business. That is her busiest week of the month.
I will have access to a computer at Cathy's, but none up north.
Hi Nancy. Sorry to hear about the Aunt. She was in her 90's wasn't she. Good that she didn't have a long suffering. Good luck on your DD's surgeries.
We just had a piece of cherry pie with ice cream. Time we ate the pie, as I baked it last Saturday!
I plan to make a meatloaf and take over to Barb's house tomorrow. She got home about midnight last night. Found she broke both thumbs and has them pinned. Only lost the tips of her two fingers on the right hand. But she is in a lot of pain. Her DD said she may have to have more surgery. I can't imagine how she broke both thumbs. She was working with the corn auger. Might also make a pan of Brownies, as I expect she'll have lots of folks stopping in.
Nancy we will be glad when you are back in the fold and home for awhile.
LIly no set bed time here either but I do generally give John a call shortly after 10 every night . No rain here right now but the temps are supposed to drop and I am ready for that to happen anytime. It is still a tad over 80 here and humid so feels very muggy.
Lily I am sure your cooking will be greatly appreciated. It is going to be hard for her to do much cooking in her current condition. Maybe the ladies of the church could get together and everyone provide something on a rotating schedule for a couple of weeks. We have done that in hour church when needed.
Lily, I think Aunt Jo was 95. This was Russell's mother's youngest sister. Much younger that the rest of that family. And, she had been a twin. Just reading about your friend's accident made me wince a little. I know she will appreciate your kindness.
Well I guess it is time for me to get my self off here make my calls feed my dogs and get out my suitcase and see if I have any clothes to pack. Seems like I have a lot of clothes but never seem to have what I want to wear at any given time LOL . Think I do want to do my nails I know Glee's will look good and so will Debbie so I best spruce up the claws LOL . Have a good night .
Marv always picks up several paperbacks at the Thrift store for a dime each. After he reads them we take them back and he gets a new batch. Well, I didn't have anything to read today, so I found one he had picked up which one of a trilogy of three brothers out West. You know the story, oldest brother comes home to revive the family ranch, meets the young widow struggling on the neighboring ranch and all ends well! LOL I started reading it today, so think I will leave and go read some more. I know how it will turn out, as I've read lots just like it over the years!
Goodnight and God Bless. See you in the morning.
Good night, MJ and LILY.
My bags are all packed and we're ready to leave tomorrow around lunch time.
See you all in the morning.
