Hi, checking in fromt the great Hoosier state!! A quiet day in this house. DD is gone somewhere, SIL and DGS are on their computers in the living room. No plans that I know of . It is just too hot outside. It will be close to 100 today. I walked down to get the paper and that was enough for me. I did a couple of loads of laundry earlier, and unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher.
Dd had company last night and one of the women brought a trifle made with angel food cake, sugar free vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries and blueberries and fat free cool whip. It was so pretty and delicious.
I am off to my recliner to read the paper and maybe take a nap. Have a great holiday, everyone.

Oh my...it's 98 out there now and so humid. Even the breeze blowing doesn't feel good. And Toby loves being out there. I brought him in a little bit ago and all he wanted to do is go back out. So, he's laying in the dirt under the old swing set (it is shady there) watching for birds to come to the bird feeder I have hanging on the swing set.
Sharon...he didn't go for a long ride today....mostly just a leisurely ride..didn't push himself. He always makes sure he has enough water and energy snacks to make it through. I hope it isn't this hot when he goes on his week long ride in a couple weeks. It is a 6 day ride through north eastern Michigan (lower peninsula) and they camp at night. It's a very well organized group ride.
Well, do I dare go sit on my swing for a little bit? I might try it...probably won't be out there very long.

WOW, what a hot day, we did go to the kids parade this morning and Jamie won a 3rd place in his division for his decorated scooter, he was happy and had a lot of fun but we didn't stay long after because even he didn't want to play at the park, too hot.
Yes Nancy, this grannie did get wet in the sprinkler too and when Jamie gets up, he is napping now, we probably will do it again. We will not be going to our town's parade today and I am not sure about fireworks, depends on how tired everyone is and how hot it still is at that time.
I have some baby back ribs in the freezer too so maybe will get those out for the weekend. Time to relax a little now.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO EVERYONE
It's hot here too. 101 last time I checked. DH is cooking burgers on the grill for supper. I made macaroni salad & DH helped me make a cucumber salad. House is nice & cool. I kept my nightshirt & boxer shorts on. To hot to even get dressed. DH said no one is coming stay comfy. Tomorrow DH is going to see the DGC. I have to stay here as my cleaning lady comes. In the afternoon we're going to the $$$ & Italian stores.
Anyone around to visit tonight? I'll check back in a while, as I'll play some spider in the mean time. I suspect everyone is either having a good time or tired out. Happy Fourth
