Good Morning Ladies - - Don't know much, since I was here last night as well. Just hot again, hotter than yesterday -- after you get so hot, it's just HOT - don't know that you can tell the difference. A nice breeze sure does make a difference, even if it is a warm/hot breeze - - Makes me thankful to live and work in air -- Feel badly for those who do not have that luxury. It's gotta be a long long day. Our fair is this week - - feel badly for the animals there. Glad that I don't have to be there.

MJ, don't have a heart attact, but I'm drinking yesterdays coffee - - I'l let someone else bring the pot to share to the table - - Don't want to pass this stuff on, but it's okay.
Can't remember if I was going to talk about anything else or not, so will have to give it a couple of minutes to see. Usually, as soon as I hit the reply botton, I remember something I meant to talk about.

It's going to be a hot day here, too and looks like most the week will be the same. DH called last night and was very tired from his long ride. Today's ride is right around 50 miles. He'll call tonight and let me know how it went.

Morning GB and CJ - Had another night of not being able to sleep. Woke up about 9:30 and realized the TV was still on, and turned it off, then promptly was wide-eyed! Last time I looked at the clock, it was nearly 2:00... When I woke up this morning, I was dreaming I was on a balconey like the queen stands on, and it was falling, but the two people who were on it with me, leaned the right direction, and we managed to "steer" it to a safe landing!!! It will be a long day. Planning on a nap today.

Good morning hot here again today and they are saying we might get to 100 tomorrow. Coffee is brewing here Jane and you can have some of mine. actually I find I like the coffee better the second day. I must be one wacky person LOL .
It got to hot to work upstairs yesterday so as soon as I do my testing, Have my coffee and shower and dress up I will go to work up there. I have to do it in the morning when the afternoon sun comes in the windows all is lost up there. I sure hope it is cooler when Liz and Jeremy are here. He will be upstairs as she can't climb stairs easily so will stay down stairs in my room. Oh boy sure hope it cools off some.
Cjay I sure hope your DH does alright in this heat. It is too hot they should just pick them up with a truck and drive them the rest of the way. I have never been able to tolerate heat not even as a child so just don't know how he does it. More power to him is all I can say. If it gets too bad I hope they have sense enough to call it a day.
Jane I often remember something I wanted to say after I post. Sometimes I just go in and add it by doing an edit sometimes i just do another post and sometimes I just don't do it. Lots of options LOL . Well I do believer my coffee should be done by now so off I go for my first cup of the day. I will even share if cjah's pot runs short.
Oh my feet don't hurt any more but they are a bit tender. You can get hurt fast on a hot black room in 90+ temps. You know I just thought I could move fast enough to not have it happen. I guess I couldn't LOL .

Good Morning Cleo that was some dream so glad you all could land it carefully. I never have trouble sleeping unless I turn the TV off. It is hard to sleep if there is no TV on. I wake up and watch for a couple of minutes and go right back to sleep. I have several potty trips every night but that is normal for me. It gives the cat a chance to get some attention while the dogs snooze LOL . I have a very small bathroom but I often have all three animals in the room with me. Cat on the counter looking for attention and the dogs by my feet looking for the same. It is crowded. The whole house is available but they have to be with their people. Well if it is as hot there as it is here a nap sounds like a good plan.
Good morning grannies. I'll join the early ones for coffee. I still have some Black Silk in the pot. The same old story here H&H! Heat warning temps in the 90's will feel like 100. More tomorrow!
CJ here's hoping you take some of that new Ohio casino money home with you I can't believe how many $$$$ went thru there the first month! I'm sure you will have a good time the place is new and beautiful just waiting to give you $$$$

Time to go Little Miss Sunshine just came tiptoeing down here
I plan not to go on the roof. I have always wanted to put a rail around the edge and perhaps artificial turf so we could use it as a place to go to sit. It was designed for that purpose just has never been done.
It is so much nicer to have little miss sunshine that little miss grumpy so enjoy her today. Try not to overheat and everyone wear shoes on tar surfaces LOL
Good Morning Ladies--Thank you for the anniversay wishes yesterday! We spent the day driving through the beautiful mountains and had a delicious steak dinner in Winter Park. It was a really nice day
We are in Colorado for the week and are being spoiled by the weather--highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's! When we go home next week we're going to really suffer getting into the hot hot stuff!
Not sure what we're doing today--I think we're going to Estes Park.
Don't know any other news so will go for now. DH is fixing bacon and eggs! Yum!!!

Good morning to all from brown, crispy central Missouri. Some places about 35 miles north of us got an inch of rain, but we got not even a drop nor did either DD at their house. Dangerous heat and dryness the rest of the week! Poor DH. He says he sure hopes he doesn't have to sweat all next week on his vacation! I told him at least we should be able to dip our toes in the ocean if we got hot. I need to check out the weather for Gulf Shores. Last time we checked it was several degrees cooler there than here. Months ago when we were first planning our trip, everyone told us we'd have to beware of the heat and humidity there, that we could get overheated. What irony that we're now hoping to cool off there!
Cleo, DH and DSIL have not talked yet. We will come in whichever way you recommend. It is kind of six one way and half a dozen another. DSIL's route says go through the middle of MS, ours says the eastern edge. We will probably team up with DSIL and go that way. Hopefully, they'll talk tonight or tomorrow night. Our plan is to start out separately, thinking they will get away earlier than us and hopefully meet up Friday night at a hotel for the night. If we don't meet up on Friday night, we'll meet up somewhere Saturday morning as we travel. They live about 40 miles from us, so they'll be going a different way than we will, but at various points we have opportunities to meet up. Clear as mud, right? We also think we'll be able to travel faster that evening than they will with the two little ones. So, we're hoping that they can indeed get away earlier than us. We'll go home after work, pack the car with the perishiables and light out, but it will likely be 5:00 before we get away. Sure am looking forward to meeting you! I told my DH about your DH working for the water company and, working for the gas company, he interacts with the water company guys in Jefferson City all the time so he said he already knew they'd get along fine!

Spent lots of time doing tomatoes this weekend! Of course when we get ready to go, we're inundated! Brought six more 5-lb. bags in to work to sell today. Have 10 quarts and 4 pints of spaghetti sauce canned and we scalded a big dish pan full last night that will get canned tomorrow night just as tomatoes. This afternoon and all day tomorrow is board meeting and we have a dinner outing with our board of directors tonight, so not much can be done tonight. Did I mention it is going to be a busy week---LOL!
Time to get some work done. Stay cool and pray for rain, please!

Good Morning, another Hot and Humid one here also. !00*. It is unusual, but I'm enjoying the heat. Of course, I don't have to go out in it, so can just sit on my swing and drink water all day. We already have a Heat Warning in place.
Our county Fair begins tomorrow. I'm wondering if they will just tell the kids to bring their livestock in on the day of judging and then send them back home. I covered the Fair a number of years when it was very hot and I know there were two years they sent the cattle home early due to the heat. We have a newer, and very large airy barn, but even with fans all over the place, it gets extremely hot with all the animals. Not a safe environment for the animals or the kids!
CJ, that casino would have been easy for me to reach if I still lived down there. Enjoy!

Laundry day, the only thing I have planned to do all this week. Other than an occasional sweep of the floor, meals and dishes. Such a busy life. I only ordered 3 books from the library. Will have to get busy and try to find more to order. I couldn't find any the other night when I was searching that I haven't read before. There are millions of "cozy mysteries", but I like series and am running out of those with more than 2 or 3 in a series.
Stay cool. I'll be on my swing! It is very windy and to stay so all day, which really helps.

Cjayh: Gotta have some stamina to do rides like that. My friend rode her bike everywhere and rode for long periods of time and decided she wanted to do that. Got all the info and was going to start when she hurt her tailbone and was unable to go. I hope he has places to cool down in.
Atv: Our pool is in sun in the a.m. and then gets kind of shaded in afternoon and later; girls are so brown they can handle the sun but they do come in and out for a spell. Have to watch some tv you know.
MJ: I'd say that was an unpleasant time on the roof and glad you got back in. I never liked yogurt and then tried some w/pineapple in just like I did cottage cheese, and now I like it in all flavor excepts original white; love the whips as does Kinzie. DsoIL takes one everyday to work w/Special K and mixes them.
Seems yesterday was a good day for all. Today I've a dr appt and then going to JoAnn's w/Dd; she's at the drs now. She's been having this pain in her neck down to her forearm and we think she might have a pinched nerve. I hope that can do something to relieve the pain for her. bbl Still no Lily??

Sunny and 82 already. I have the birdbath and fountain filled, rotated some flowers and watered the pots on the garage. I've got the iron heating up and the dishwasher running. Want all that done before 11. Then I will take it easier on the electricity. It's supposed to get to 100 with the heat index in the mid 100's. I am so ready for fall weather.
The window in the family room in the basement needs a curtain so I need to dig through my fabric and find some to cover that window. The sin shines on the aquarium and Mark finally agreed with me that the window needs to be covered. Gesh! That is pretty much all I have planned.
Like Jane, said, there is a nice breeze outside but it's a warm one. Prayers for all of those that have to be out and working in this heat and humidity.
Off to the iron.

I'm back again..the Soraya time wasn't long this morning. I have the kitchen cleaned and the bread machines going. It's getting to the critical stage. A small pc of one loaf in the basket and one loaf in the freezer. Everyone is unhappy when we run out of "Grammy's bead" Soraya was busy with her things this morning so I didn't have any help to make bread. She's waititng for it be be done in time for her lunch.
Lily I don't plan to go out today either. I'll be inside with my book this afternoon.
Mamma find something pretty for the window. The outside water faucets are in the most inconvienent places. The bird bath is usually empty since I have to carry a bucket of water to fill it. There are three ponds and a creek near by. The birds can get water. Water needs to be carried to the fountain too. So it's seldom running.
Sharon, will you be looking for something to sew? Hope you get good news from the dr.
Debbie I need to take a rest after reading about all you do. wonder if I was ever that busy?? The vacation will be welcome after your busy week. No rain or tomatoes here yet. Stormy weather is our forecast for Wed. We need rain not the stormy part. We will have a truck load of tomatoes when they ripen! Close to a 100 plants out there. i hope there will be a market for them

Good Morning All, Nothing much going on here stripped our bed this morning. Need to clean my stove and refrigerator hope to get that done today.
I did read in our paper last week that the corn in Va. and Carolina was doing great not that they grow that much here. But with the drought that the mid west is having the farmers here would get a good price for their corn.
