I'll be baking tomorrow also. I've been reminded that there is one loaf of bread in the freezer! Several Z that dgd's friend brought waiting to be made into Z bread.

We had watermelon for supper. Aldi's has had some very good ones this summer. Nice and ripe.

Grammy, the family sure likes your bread. We find good produce at our Aldi's, too. Although we do have to watch the raspberries or strawberries.

Jane, I always have to taste the melon when I am cutting it up.

My friend in KS has a Dsil that trained for the last two Olympics. He missed the last one by 1. He placed 4th and only 3 were selected. What a heartbreaker that must be. I blelieve  discus throwing was the event. He  gave it up, it was a life consuming thing, he is now a college coach.

Sorry, I get caught up in the TV every once in awhile --  I was kinda dissappinted in the produce yesterday at ALDI's - the peaches were all beat up, but I looked in the box underneath, and found a couple of good ones.  I don't even remember seeing watermelon or raspberries - - I usually end up tossing some strawberries, unless I get them to make something.  The cantalope left a lot to the imagination too, and also the cukes -

Grammy, that happened to a young girl from the next town east of us. She was on the team the last two Olympic's, but they didn't use her this year. She has been doing commentary on the local NBC station.

With 6 of us here we can go thru a loaf of bread  and a gal of milk each day! Someone is always waiting for the bread to come from the oven so they can get that first warm pc. Even Soraya has learned how good that first pc is. She wants some of Grammy's good bread with butter.

It does have to be a life commintment - both time and financially - You need a strong family or a good sponsor.  And what determination they have to have.  They eat, sleep and breath what ever event they are in.

Well, now I have two problems. Kids are on the phone with Russell and I checked my blood sugar and it is unusually low. So, I have to get something to bring that up a little----that's as bad or worse than the count being too high.

So, enjoyed chat tonight and will say good night.

See you all in the morning.

AH, fresh warm bread, with peanut butter -- what a treat!  The only bread I've been eating is the multi grain sandwich rounds.  I actually thought I'd miss it more than I do - - I ate so much toast for breakfast, but it just wasn't tasting that good to me anymore.  A blessing on it's own.
