    Good Morning...

It's going to be a mild day....should be nice.

I put the lights on the tree out front yesterday.  Got them all on and one string is not lighting up.  I tested them all before I put them on, too.  So today I'll have to take that one string off and get another one to put on.  Sad

Today our school has been invited to a ribbon cutting for the new play structure at our McDonald's.  Since we are a small school (preschool, pre-k and kindergarten), it will work out great.  So, around 11, we will all be there and the kids will be the first to play on it.  A little free publicity too.

Greenback...hope you are feeling a lot better today.

Coffee, tea and juice are ready for everyone......

Good Morning Ladies - I spent the night in bed last night, but didn't sleep all that good - I couldn't get warm - About 1 I got up and got my fleese throw and put that on the bed and finially got warm - in fact, by the time to get up, I was cooking.  I did have a good rest - Felt good to get streched out.  I'm having a glass of water now, and it really hits the spot.  I think I will be drinking lots of water, if it go's okay - I'm so hoping I'm over the worst of this.  My goal today is a shower and to unpack the tub from last Sat. nights dishes and get them in the dishwasher.  My friend from the other hood is going to the store today, so is going to get a few things for me too - I think I will put my list and check on the door, and when she comes back, have her leave them on the porch. I don't even want her  in the house until it gets disinfected - - much as I[d enjoy the visit, I don't want her to pick up anything.  I was thinking of oatmeal for breakfast, what do you think about that - or else applesauce - not a big favorite, but I can do it and I know I have a jar.  I like it in jello with the cinammon candies, so have it on hand. I think I will make another bozx of jello too.

Hope Carl is doing okay - I'm sure he has a long road ahead.

Cjayh, the kids should really have fun at the ribbon cutting.  Good luck with the lights.

MJ good luck at the sale - - Have a good visit with everyone.

Hope we hear from Fran -been awhile.

    be back later

It is to be a mild day here also and the kids still have today off for hunting.  A 15 year old boy got shot yesterday here in our county but thankfully it is not a life threatening injury.  Now if the kids were in school he would not have been in harms way.  Ok so I am being an old fuddy duddy.  I think I am old enough to qualify for that title now LOL .

Jane it does sound like you are getting better lordy how do you disinfect a house? I have never done anything like that.  I must be a truly not fastidious person.  Oh well don't plan on changing now.

Well leave it to me to mess up.   I got up earl;y did some stuff got ready to work at the library and was there by 9:00. OOPS!!  I don't work until 1:00 oh well I have a good start on my day so after I post here it is back to work and boy does this place need it . It has been neglected for a few days and can really go to pot fast.   I have a load of laundry ready for the dryer so that will be first. Then the dreaded junk collector my dining room table so I may as well pay bills at the same time.  Cat needs her meds and box needs cleaning the list goes on and on and I don't even have to write a list to keep busy LOL .  I saw some strange little dust critters lurking in the corners so I may even get to a few of those. I have to leave some for breeding purposes you know only the biggest and best will be saved LOL .

Well I just had to call John and harass him. My phone rang and it was John I could hear him talking to people. He could not hear me so I hung up and called him . He sometimes hits the button on his phone that calls me automatically but he never knows that he does it .  Funny man.  We call that butt calling around here. I don't know how he does it his phone is in a case he needs a folding phone.  His DD programmed the phone for him but he does not know how to use it so dials my number every time anyway.   Ok time to get some work done around here it will be 1:00 before I know it.

    Good morning, Grannies.

Seems like today will be a feel better day for me. I have been going up and down and most of it has to do with energy.

CJAY, what a nice time the kids will have. Are they getting a free treat, too? Some have trims, decorations and lights up around here. Only one guy in our subdivision with his outside trees and candy canes lit. I think, at least wait until after TG.

JANE, hoping you can start to enjoy some more solid food. After you and me, we can be sure there are several nasty bugs going around to make us feel miserable. Now, just rest, rest, rest. BTW, Carl will need months of healing and rehab.

MJ, thinking of the wrong time was OK. At least you got those chores done and can have time for something else, now. I just saw a sign that said, Don't look for the cleaning fairy, she was strangled by some dust bunnies.

Out for more shopping today. We will probably go north on Sunday for a couple of days. And with the kids coming a week after that, I want to be ready with all the goodies we will need.

Carl did not fall out of a tree stand used for  hunting. He was on a ladder working on a shed repair. He lost his balance and fell backwards on his rear end. Thanking you all for prayers for him.

Good morning!  Let's eat!  I'm hungry and can't find any food.  Well I did have some crackers with peanut butter but they haven's reached the right hunger hole yet because I'm still hungry.

Jane, it is good to hear that you are starting to feel better.  Now for it just to continue.

I think I'll clean tonight, that way tomorrow I can spend some time in the woods and then I think I'll make some cookies in the afternoon.  Probably pumpkin and the Vermont maple oatmeal cookie.  DH and DS really like them and they will be great for hunting since it has oatmeal, raisins/craisins, nuts in it.  Lots of good stuff.  Then I might also, put my Christmas stash in a different place.  But I'll decide that later.

Taking DM to the store tonight, not sure how many stores but I do know she wants to go to the grocery store.  Oh I guess I should call her to be ready at 3:45.  I came early today so I can leave early.

I wish it was Thanksgiving today.  I'm very hungry for a turkey meal....but I already mentioned that I was very hungry.  LOL.  So forget that.

Guess it is time to start the dreaded data entry.  Might as well get it done.

    I'll check in again later.

Hi Grannies, I'm moving a bit slow today. I needed a little rest time, I didn't even feel like going to the pool this morning. I've been watching the baking marathon going on in the kitchen now have been asked if I feel like helping mix some cookies. This is stuff for the Christmas bazaar tomorrow. There will be samples, baked goods and order forms. Soraya and I did 4 turtle breads yesterday. They are wrapped and ready to go.

So happy to hear that our sick ones are on the path to recovery.

I'm  being summoned so gotta go help NOW!

Hi all, just wandering by to say hello.  Hope those with the flu bug are much better today.  I had my flu shot, but that doesn't help with the viruses that fly around.

We are having a TG potluck here at my bldg on Tuesday.  I am on the committee.  I am making a turkey breast and mashed potatoes.  I am still having so much trouble remembering people's names.  They all remember mine, but I only remember a few.  Most are so nice.  I like it here more every day.   DD brought Jake to visit me today.  We had to stay in the parking lot, but he was glad to see me. I am going there for dinner Sunday.   My first time back since I moved.  It will be odd, but OK.  I would not give up my apartment  for anything.  I should have done this much sooner.  But i have always been one to dig in my heels and resist change, even if it is for my own good.   I just did not like the way it was done, but it was all for the best.

My DS is home safely from China.  He went walking on the Great Wall.  Lots of interesting tales to tell.  He had to go right to the hospital from the airport, as his Dad was having a bone marrow biopsy done yesterday.  They suspect cancer.  He was already in the hospital for breathing problems, but the doctor says even if it is cancer, they can at least make him more comfortable.  I do feel sorry for him, and for my kids.

Not much else going on.  I am going to sit in my recliner and watch tv.  Have a good night.

    Good evening to all!

Vicky, so glad that you are liking it in your apartment.  Just remember that everyone there only has to remember 'one' name where you have to learn a lot.  Soon you will know them all and remember when a new person comes.  DM loves her place too and also says that she should have moved a lot sooner.  Prayers for your kids and their dad.

Have the Christmas shows on but I'm sure I'm going to be sleeping soon.

Of course, I didn't do anything after getting home.  So will work on stuff tomorrow.  DH has to go to work in the morning and DS said he would go hunting in the afternoon, so I'll get all my work done and go with him.

DH had mentioned going to 'Sams' but not sure when.  Maybe Sunday morning or afternoon or not at all.  We will see.

Hope everyone is having a good evening.  I'll check back.

I'm just in time to say goodnight. DD and I will be doing the Christmas Bazaar tomorrow. The powers that be said please have your table ready for sales at 8:00 A.M. It's very close so we won't have much travel time. We have muffins, coffee cake, granola, turtle bread and 2 kinds of fudge. DGD met with a disaster twice when trying to do cookies. She ended up in tears and quit! Not feeling well and too many distractions for her to concentrate on the measurements when she was doubling recipes. She forgot flour in one batch!

Vicky it's good to hear that you are so happy in your new surroundings. sometimes we need a nudge in the right direction. Your ds sure leads an interesting life with his world travels. I'm sure he has some wonderful adventures to tell you about.

I'm going to get the coffee ready then get into bed with my book. Anyone like to read Jeffery Archer books?

    Love and hugs

I'm stopping in, too. Seems the grannies are watching TV, reading or ready for a nap.

Vicky, love the happy in your tone since getting your own apartment. The names of your new friends will get easier as the days go by.

MJ, grab those zzzz'z if that's what you feel like doing.

Enjoy the story, Grammy. And, have a great day at the sale tomorrow.

See you all in the morning.
