 The coffee is on and muffins are out on the table before the Frito Man gets here with the "good" stuff.

Come on Sleepyheads, Let's get up!  It's a new day in the Neighborhood!

Hope the Son is shining where you are.

GOOD MORNING,  I can't stay, FM just walked in the door and I have to get the rolls on the table.  BBL

Stylist ... I'm playing with the color and it's just not working for me either. I need help!

The rolls are on the table and the coffee, orange juice and white grape juice are ready and waiting.  It's not light enough outside yet to see what the day is like but I don't think we're supposed to get sunshine but the SON always shines in the Grannie Neighborhood.

MA  Good morning to you!!!  you're up bright and early.  Are you still working on NYE prep?  I can't get the color to work for me this morning either and wonder why?  it worked for me last night.  Oh well, such is life.  Have a great day my friend!!  Oh, by the way,  how about those Patriots????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stylist ... WOO HOO!!!!!   DH's head is still spinning this morning! As always, thanks to the Man for the rolls and pass me a custard filled, please.  

Heading out to Costco later this am to get the rest of the party goodies. A few decorations and lots of food (again!) and some libations (don't you just love that word?) No champagne for me .... I just don't like the taste. Will have some wine instead.  We are expected to get between 4-9 inches of snow between 10pm and 6am tomorrow morning so I hope the roads will all be cleared before we head out to DD Tara's.

I am going to get the recipe for the flan and post it for Gramsuzi before we leave in case she or anyone else wants to try making it. Maybe this afternoon when we get back I will have the time to make it myself.

 Stylist thanks for setting the table this morning. I will take an apple fritter too! A large cup of coffee too please.

Stylist- where in the world do you type those words to change the color, and what do you do? Like highlite or what.

Recipe For FLAN DE QUESO (Cheese Custard Flan)

350* Oven

1 Can Evaporated Milk

1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Package Cream Cheese     ( I hope she means 8oz pkg. ... she doesn't say)  :0(

3 Eggs

1 Tsp. Vanilla

Mix everything together well. (A blender does the job best)

CARAMEL SAUCE

1/2 Cup Sugar

1 1/2 Tablespoons Water

Put sugar and water in a microwave pan and microwave about 3-4 minutes watching it carefully. It should turn a golden color. If you want it slightly darker, then continue to mircrowave a few seconds longer keeping your eye on it.

Let the caramel cool down just a little (but don't let it "set" or it won't work) ...  then pour it immediately into a deep dish pie plate or 8 inch square pan and swirl it until it covers the bottom and the sides. Remember, it should not be hot. Pour the egg/milk mixture over it. Set the pan of flan into a shallow pan of water (water bath) and bake for 1 hour until a knife inserted comes out clean.

NOTE: You can make these in individual ramekin cups if you prefer. Either way, just invert the flan and the caramel will cover it as you serve it. If done in the pie pan or square pan, then just slice or scoop per serving and pour some caramel on top.

OK, these are the directions I have. It was delicious when she made it so I hope it will turn out the same for me and anyone who is attempting to make it! I wish I knew exactly if it's an 8 oz. pkg. of cream cheese but that's what I'm gonna use. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Yes, those Patriots did it again.  My DH is getting ready to head off to the Packer game so I must get him a nice warm breakfast.  (those muffins sound really good, stylist)

I'm running off to the grocery store later to pick up a few items.  We are having dinner with friends after the game and I'm taking a fruit salad. 

Keeping Grammy and her family in my thoughts and prayers today.

Good morning Grannies!  I smell coffee and cinnamon. The Dear,Sweet FM must have been here already. One Persian for me and I brought my biggest mug for coffee. Need to sip and munch. 29* going to 35*. It is suppose to be cloudy until noon time.  But-----the Son is shining brightly.

Need to gather my things for SS and church. 

Ma-----goodness wish I had some your enthusiasm this morning. I am a slow riser. Need a little time alone for my first cup.

CONNIE  Sounds like an exciting day for you. Fruit salad will be just great!!  I saw your message and replied. 

GOLDENHEART  There's a formula that you use to change color etc.  but I've tried it this morning and it won't work.  MA has also tried this a.m.   I think this site is a bit on the tempormental side!   The formula is supposed to be:   [color=red]   But it didn't work.  Maybe later it will?  anyway, you can put any color in there, not just red.

Good Morning everyone. Thick frosty fog here this a.m. I'm calling it a two telephone pole fog, but may be even worse than that. Can't see beyond our barn.  Last night our weatherman said we've had only 8 days of sunshine this month. No wonder I'm in the dumps!

Marilyn, you are certainly jumping today. I would feel like that if I had fun places to go, also.

Stylist, I am going to pass the rolls today. Just coffee and OJ. I decided I'm feeling FAT and going to have to watch what I'm eating. Too much candy and sweets.

Golden, read last evening's posts. They were talking and describing the colors, etc.

Marilyn, that's a simple recipe. My friend makes flan, but she uses a recipe from a Mexican family she knows in Mexico City. Much more complicated, but soooooooo good!
