Good morning Apple, thanks for the open door. No cherry pie makings here either. Would rhubarb do?  ha ha.  Any pie is good at our house except for gooseberry .  Never tasted Lingenberry so not sure about that one. Huh?

Hope lil Apple is feeling better today.
Nothing special on the adgenda for today until church tonight. Think I will make an Oatmeal cake, make a swiss steak for supper and sew the rest of the day. Sounds like a plan to me. Need to go and make coffee and watch a movie I started---Mrs. Minaver.  Love the oldeys but goodies.  BBL

Good morning Grannies!  It is cold here again today.  I see there are some schools closed, mostly up north and on the western side of the state.  I need to check and see if we are.  I am so cold, got home from my PTO meeting last night and crawled in bed to warm up, needless to say, that was "all she wrote."  I've got homework to finish.  I had six out yesterday sick, plus one on vacation, and one other went elsewhere.  It was a really different afternoon.  I've got jeans on, much warmer.  I'll be back later.

Good morning, It's not quite light outside yet but we did have a light dusting of snow overnight.  How is everyone today?  I'll have some toast and peanut butter from Apple this morning.

LAURIET  It seems the crud is at it's peak right now. Have a safe day.

LAKEMOM  You have plenty to keep the little one busy! have fun.

SUZI  DH and I love oatmeal cake.  Do you use the brown sugar topping?

APPLE  If you leave the peanut butter set, I'll dip my celery in it for lunch.  LOL  Tell Apple "hi" and I hope she gets to feeling better real soon.  I bet those Little Debbie Oatmeal Cakes will help.  LOL

     Good Morning...

Back to school today.  Sure was a nice little break though.

Tonight will be a lunar eclipse....I might actually be able to see it since it's early enough in the evening....but it will be cold out there.

Applek...I love keylime pie.  DS#2 always requested that for his birthday instead of a cake.  But then I don't like cherry pie.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day and hope all those under the weather will be back to feeling better soon.

    Good Morning Grannies ...

apple ... I'll take some peanut butter toast with a little jam on it. In this household DH is the peanut butter guy. He just loves the stuff. Thanks.

suzi ... I love those old movies the best.  We are thinking of subscribing to the TMC channel  which shows all the great ones from the 30'2 and 40's. Your day sounds like a really nice one!

Lakemom ... Those little ones can certainly keep you hopping. Maybe she will help unload the dishwasher?  LOL

Laurie ... With that many out today do you have to change your lesson plans?

Stylist ... Hope that's all the snow you will get today. Don't need anymore, anywhere!

CJ ... I like key lime pie but only in the summer. It's a nice refreshing dessert when the weather is warmer. Now when is that gonna happen? (The warmer part) Wink

My day will involve a cut and color at 1:45 and I will see Steph this morning since she still needs to use my printer until she can find one she likes.

DD Tara called from FL last night and thought she lost her driver's license so after spending 45 minutes on the phone  telling her who to contact (Credit reporting agencies to put a fraud alert on it, notify police dept. and giving her phone numbers of her banks etc.) she found it in their rental car just as her cell phone rang again (from me) reminding her to call the police dept.  She wondered if they would let her back on the plane without it and they said they would but she had to come extra early to the airport for extra security check.  They're not coming home until late Sat. What a night!Confused

Good Morning Ladies-I'm up and moving - My one foot and hip are a little sore, but I'll live!

Apple, thanks for leaving the PB out, but I sliced an cold boiled egg on it today, before I read you post.  I boiled some eggs on Sat. and they tasted so good, I did a few more last night. I made a small amount of egg salad on Sat. and it tasted so good for a change.

Won't be home for lunch, as we have another lunch and learn at work today-today is on diabetes-I know more than I care to know on that subject, but always good to review, and since I'm a prime canidate to contract it, I guess I will go - No, I know I will go, and I will keep learning and I will try to do those lifestyle changes - I'm only too aware of the results if you don't take care of yourself with it.  Some of you here do such a good job, I'm so proud of you.

Hair cut after work - seems like it got long overnight!

SIL & BIL called - they leave for Calf. for a meeting and extneding it a couple of days to visit a friend.  Sounds good to me - just to get away from all this snow!

    Talk to you later.

Good morning everyone!  Cold here this morning but not as cold as elsewhere.

Not much time.  Thought I would check in.  The quilt is absolutely gorgeous.  I sure hope mine turns out as well as everyone elses.

Got to go and find something for lunch and be on my way.  My taxes were accepted (thank goodness).  Tonight I will print off the rest of the forms for my files and maybe I will even do the state taxes.  All I will have left is the local then.  And then my BIL will come with his.  This year I'm doing them as soon as I get them.  I'm so lazy.

    Okay, time to move.  FAST!

Ggggood morning. It's a very frigid -17, wind chill at -35. I don't care how piled high my desk is, I'm not going in to straighten it out. DH just informed me that he is staying home today. This cold has really gotten to a lot of people. I think it is worse than no sunshine.

Maybe I'll bake something today. I feel good enough to go but not leaving the house in this cold.

    Being paged

Stay warm and have a grand day.

    Good mroning, GN.

It's another cold one, here. Guess I will stay in.

APPLE, I can make a cherry pie, pat-in-th-pan crust and I have pie cherries in the freezer. Just coffee for me, now. Tell LA I saw one Little Debbie Cake with my name on it. I have seen the green Chicago River.

SUZI,  we have a gooseberry bush, but never used them for anything. I have had lingonberry jam on pancakes when we went to Door County. Enjoy the movie.

RITA, good actvities for a staying in day, for you and the little one.

LAURIET, put some Cuddl' Duds on under those jeans. All those kids gone, makes for a different kind of day. Time for lots of one on one.

STYLIST, no snow here, just co-o-o-o-old. Looks like Laura's car's windows are just frosted and no snow. Have a good one.

Well, CJAY, those little ones will be glad to see you. Believe it or not, they miss the routine of school. I will watch the eclipse tonight, too, but not for long.

MA, old movies on here alot, too. Russell watches AMC and TCM. Glad Tara found her license---some things can be so elusive when that happens. So, now, go and get purty.

JANE, no fun waking up with aches. Good to keep up with the Diabetes info, I like to do that, too. The lunch and learn sessions sound interesting.

Off for a refill, the word puzzles, and then it will be Swiffer time. BBL

Just stopping in to say good morning. Had my coffee and took DS to school. Now it is time for a shower and off I go. It is the little boy I babysit 5th birthday today.  After preschool his mother and I are taking him out for lunch and whatnot. DD has a track meet at 4:30 today. It will be a long day, but fun. Hope DD does better this meet then over the weekend.

It is very cold here again. 0 on my thermometer. We have a light dusting of snow on the ground form last night.

Have a good day and stay warm.

     Gooooood Morning, Grannies!!

It isn't snowing today. But it is -15°, without wind yet. I guess it is winter here.

Apple, What are foldovers? Toast sandwiches????  I'll pass on the PB. I like it in things but not just out of the jar.

Suzi, IT sounds like your day all planned out.

Lakemom, The little one is really lucky to have such a caring babysitting.

Lauriet, That is a lot of kids to have out. I hope it gets better instead of worse.

    Stylist, Have a nice day.

Cjayh, It sounds like it will be clear here tonight so I will watch the eclipse through the window if possible.

MA, Glad Tara found her license.  DS lost his billfold  when he was there a couple years ago. What a hassle that turned out to be. That included the one credit card they had. [:'(]

Jane, A trip to CA sounds like a great idea about now. It is good you keep on diabetes info.

Justme, WE don't have to file taxes, but we wondered about the "rebate" if we don't file. I had ask about that and the tax receptionist didn't really know how that worked. But they called last night and said you have to fill out a form. So I have to stop and pick on up this afternoon.

Maybe that info will help other grannies that don't make enough to have to file.

Alby, Your quilt is so pretty. I'm hoping to get fabric for mine later this week.

Mamma, Glad you are feeling better, but it is good you have another day off.

Nancy, I will be over for QC on the pie. Cherry is one of my favorites, along with lots of other kinds.Wink

No chimers this noon, not sure if there will be anyone there for quilting. But I will take my fillers back and go to the library. I'd like to go to B&D but not sure if I want to try that road as I am sure it is snowpacked and slippery.

Hoping everyone will be off the sick list soon.
