Good Morning Ladies
Well, it's back to the routine today - it will seem like Monday all day today. It will be a short week for me, as Friday I leave to go to the lake. Tomorrow, I have an afternoon Dr. apt. for a shot in my back, so depending on how long it takes, not sure if I'll go back to work or not. Probably not.
Debbie, if you get a chance, go back and read Sat. - I did get rooms reserved in PDC. As the chains were all filled, I tried a privite one, called The Bridgeport Inn, and have 4 rooms reserved there. I went ahead and reserved them, since there was such a room shortage in town. They can be cancelled with 24 hr. notice in we have a change in plans. They are 2nd floor rooms, no elevator, and 99.99 + tax. A little steep, but the best I could do.
Lovely morning today - nice air filtering in through the window here. Cooler temps on the way by the sounds of things. I'm sure many of you had busy days yesterday - - rather slow here, but that was okay - I had a good weekend. Got a few things layed out to take and more in my mind - so progress is being made. My goal of this trip is to come home wiht a new coffee pot!
Good morning Grannies, how is everyone? I got home last night and am going to go and get ready for the day. It was good to go home, spent a night at the farm and stopped at dayd's yesterday. My mom was in the hospital again for a few days but is out again and is feeling better. Talk to you later, blessed be.
Hi again, I had a change in dates this summer, so the 23rd may work for me, I will know more as it gets closer. If it does, I will just drive down for the day.
That's great Laurie - - Sure hope it will work for you. Looking forward to it.
Gotta run now.
Good morning. It is a beautiful cool sunny morning. Yesterday was nice too so the weekend had at least one nice day here. It's only 54º this morning but I'm not going to complain.Today I think I'm taking the resin chairs back to WM. When you sit on them the back folds!! Doesn't seem safe to me. I don't lean back so I didn't notice, but DH does and he doesn't think we should keep them. I am going to check and see if Menards has any that are better. We do need chairs since Mark gave ours to Lincoln. hehe He acted too quickly.Oh no the sun disappeared and now looks like rain. I better check the radar so I know if clothes will need to go in the dryer.ttyal

Goooooooooooood Morning, Grannies!!
A cool morning with a little breeze now but building up during the day. Lots of storms and showers yesterday, but nothing too serious.
Happy Anniversary to Mary and Earl.
Not much going on here today. DH does want to saw a few logs before it gets too windy. So he may want help with that. Not that I will be too much help as I still can't lift much with my right hand. But it is slowly improving. He did want to spray but it is already too windy for that.
I may do a little sewing for quilts at church. Yesterday I did finish 2 pillowcase dresses. The sewing machine didn't really cooperate but I did get them done.
Wishing everyone a Son shiny day.

Good Morning. Bright and sunny, but very windy with a Cold wind blowing from the north. My weather report from the weather station at our county airport reads N/A available this morning, so don't know the temp, but it is reported to be in the 40s! BRRRRRRRRR I guess that is why this season is called Sprint! It "springs" up to 90* and then "springs" back to 40*!
I know DH doesn't like any changes now, and that apparently is common for Alz. people. We moved the dog house yesterday and he is having a fit about it. Insists he is going to move it back, that Daisy doesn't like where it is located now, etc, etc, etc. Guess I will have to help him do it, instead of listening to him complain. Uff DA!
As I did laundry on Sunday and a little ironing last evening, don't have much to do today, except sweeping the floors and figuring out supper. Oh, forgot I have lasagna, so guess that is taken care of, too.
It is so windy that I don't know if I can work out in my garden. With all the extra trees down and all DS cleared yesterday, we are even more open than we used to be. The wind can sure blow out here on the edge of the prairie. I don't mind the wind blowing, except it tends to blow me over and makes it so hard to walk! I may have to be like Fran, and stay in my sewing room and work on quilt tops.
Sorry, I'm not very awake in the morning. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MARY AND DH.
Thank you for the anniversary wishes. Not sure what we're doing yet. We may go out to eat as our showing is between 4:15 & 5:15.
Good morning, grannies.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ICOOK and Earl. Hope the day is a special one for you.
JANE, yep, a short week, But, even me not working, I will get mixed up on the days. I know the week will bring your trip to the lake closer. Nice temps for us today and not that heat we had for the last two days.
LAURIE, I figured you'd have a nice time up north. Sorry mom had a problem, but it sounds like she's doing better. That's good news for the 23rd.
MAMMA, after a super storm last evening, it looks like a blue sky kind of day here. I didn't check the rain gauge, but it had to be a good amount. I think some of those chairs are flimsy. We tried some Adirondacks at Farm and Fleet and had the same reaction when leaning back in them.
FRAN, baby that wrist 'til it feels good and strong. Not easy to help with the wood with one hand. Sewing sounds much better to me.
LILY, careful out in the wind. Can't have you being blown over. A little warmer here and we have the doors and windows open. I didn't wash yesterday, so have a couple of loads to do.
ICOOK, dinner out on your anniversary sounds like a good plan. Hope the showing goes well.
Russell is at the Gun Club. He promised a couple of the men he would help them put up some kind of shelter. I will head out on my own for some Nancy errands. BBL
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ICOOK & DH...enjoy your day.
Good Morning...
We never got any rain yesterday or strong winds as was predicted. It's looking kind of gray out there like maybe rain is coming. I'm sure if I go out and water the plants it will rain. The hot and humid did arrive yesterday and felt very uncomfortable all day. We didn't turn the A/C on as it usually cools down at night. Not too bad this morning.
Today is Tim Horton day. The kindergarten & prek have this week and next til they are done. We plan to continue to meet once a week or so through the summer. I'm sure some of those will be game days.
Not much new around here.....better get some things done that I've been putting off. Have a great day...........
Good TUESDAY morning to all. Hope I remember that today is Tuesday!
Jane, thank you for the hotel information. We would like to reserve a room for Saturday evening, please. Just let me know what I need to do and I will get it over in our name and give our credit card number to reserve it. Thank you for your diligence in finding lodging for us. Good news that Laurie may be able to join us!
We had a BUSY weekend and kind of crashed yesterday afternoon. The family pictures went well and I think there should be some good ones in there. The photographer was very creative and took us all down to a field quite a ways behind her house with tall prairie grass and had a blue leather couch sitting in the middle of it! She arranged all of us in several different poses and then took individual family pictures as well as some of Drew for his six month pictures.
it was so HOT and DRY here, we desperately need rain. The grass seed we planted where DH did the dirt work near our new sidewalk hasn't even sprouted. We watered the first couple of days but then gave up until Mother Nature can do it. DH is almost sick with allergies and he usually doesn't suffer with them as much as he is this season. His voice was just a mere hoarse whisper all weekend. We got a few inside things done as DH just didn't feel up to going outside in the heat like he usually does. He fixed the metal umbrella holder and pan on my "new" antique hall tree, had to glue a place on the arm which required taking it off and clamping it and then attaching the metal pieces for the umbrellas as it was inside the seat when we bought it.
Today is DD#1's 32nd birthday. We went out to lunch at a favorite Mexican restaurant after family pictures yesterday. They brought her out a huge fried ice cream covered with whipped cream and sprinkles which Eli helped her eat and I dipped Drew's pacifier in some of the whipped cream and he smacked his lips. He got his second tooth yesterday1 They also had DD wear a huge sombrero while they sang to her so a good time was had by all although we had all had just a little more weekend than we needed and were exhausted. I think the entire family took naps yesterday afternoon, even me who hardly ever naps! I always thought DD was born early to take advantage of strawberry season--she loves them SO much! She wasn't due until July 8, but was born right after I had been picking strawberries at a pick-your-own farm!
Time to get some work done. A short week, but a busy one.
Love to all!
Forgot to wish Earl & Mary a very happy anniversary! Hoping that house showing goes well and I know that the best present for your special day would be an offer that you could accept and start the next chapter in your lives. Fingers crossed!
Lunch break time. Just had a bowl of warm soup. Sure tasted good, as it is so chilly in our house. All the doors and windows are shut and DH pulled out the little electric heater again. Can't be outside, as it is so very windy. I did go out and plant my impatiens by the deck, but that is all I could do. The sun has been shining, but now clouds are overtaking the sky. 57* - Brrrr
I have been reading, but DH is in a bad humor today. Whatever I say or do is wrong, so think it is time for me to head upstairs to my sewing room, and let him sit here and complain alone. Maybe he can get it all out and be better later today. Just all upset about the dog house being moved. Says Daisy doesn't like it, but she has been laying in the sun all morning, and didn't seem upset about it! The car has been sitting here by the back door, on the lawn, since I came home on Fri. Now it is bothering DH and he is muttering about it dripping oil on the grass, flattening the grass, worried about tree limbs falling on it, etc., etc., etc. But hasn't bothered to move it any of those days! GRRRRR
Sorry, but I just have to let go and vent a bit!
