Neighbor boys does our mowing for us. Snow removal too.
Sometimes the neighbor kid does some of our snow removal, but as long as DH and I are healthy we try to do as much as we can and mowing is good exercise for DH.

If we needed help the boys across the street would help. They are the ones that look at us like their grandparents. The older one helped Russell cut down our flowering crab tree and haul the little branches to the dump. The dad took the trunk pieces for their fireplace.
I have only used roundup on weeds in the cracks and seams of cement. I was afraid to use it anywhere else for fear I would kill the few pieces of grass I do have. Oh my if i killed all of the weeds I would have just dirt for a yard. I have no idea what you are supposed to do with anything that grows outside. If you ask questions when you go to buy the stuff they answer in such away that you know they think you have an idea of what it is all about. I hate to tell them I do not know what you are talking about so I nod say huh huh and walk away knowing less than when I started LOL . Sort of like I had to buy a new weed wacker because I had no idea how to use the two I already had. Ok it is still a mystery but I can at least start this one. and it is battery powered not cords no fuel LOL .
I am going to say goodnight. I have one or two things yet to do and then it is bedtime because tomorrow is another work day for this "working girl" See you all in the morning.

I got home about an hour ago, but the kids stayed awhile and talked, so didn't have a chance to get here. The MRI actually went much better than the one in the truck - if I ever have to have another, I'll go up there. The result was dissappointing though, they can't do surgery until I loose some weight. We all know how hard that is. I slept much of the afternoon in the waiting room, waiting for the kids to come and then during his appointment which was about an hour. They wanted to stop at MEnards, and then get a bit to eat on the way home. THanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

Jane I know very well how hard it is to lose weight. Give it some thought but it is not something you can easily do alone. How about Weight Watchers they have a truly good program if you follow it. I am too often a back slider but check it out. Kind of costly but if it helps it would be well worth the money. No more fried chicken
