    Good morning everyone,

I didn't get a call from the Cleveland Clinic, yesterday, but was told if I did not hear from them by today to call the coordinator at her direct number and she would follow up for me.

Maureen, I know you must be so glad that procedure is over with, and will be relieved once the labs are back on the polyps.   I'm due, since it was one year since my last one and I hope after the next one I won't have to go back for several years.....  once a year comes by too quickly.......

Barb, how did the birthday party go?  I hope you didn't over do it and are still on the road to recovery from the walking pneumonia.   Sometimes we think we are feeling fine till we get up to do something and then realize we need to give ourselves a little more time.  Hope both you and DH are fine and will have a chance to rest today.

Marti, so happy to read that you had a day out, yesterday with friends.  I'm sure it felt wonderful to be out of the house shopping and to lunch....... I hope the wheel chair or the scooter worked well for you.

Vammie, it doesn't sound like your friend is downsizing too much, but how smart to be looking for one floor, knowing steps will be difficult for her before long.  I hope she'll find just what she wants.

Sue, I know you're getting the same kind of hot and humid weather we are....  we had some strong storms going through around dinner time yesterday.

How did the negotiating go for DD?  She has so much going on right now, I hope the sale of the house is one thing she can soon put behind her.  What kind of feeling did she get from the interview?  I wondered if after the interview, she felt it was still something she was interested in.

I'm going to do inside work today, at least that's the plan.  I know I'll have to go out one day soon, to get a new cell phone.  Mine keeps turning itself off and it is time for an upgrade.  I did go once, and wanted to replace it with the same one I have, but of course, those are no longer available.  I'm happy with mine and really don't need all of the apps the smart phones have, but that's what they're pushing. They actually cost less than the simple little one I have now, but then of course you have to add a $30 data package to your monthly program, which I don't need so am continuing to look till I find what I want.

Hope everone has a nice day today.

    God bless,

    Jo Ann

Good Morning Jo Ann, Sue & Viny,  After I started posting I saw Sue & Viny' s post, but I'm not good at moving the post so hope someone will do that

Our weather is back to the hot and humid today and the rest of the week, No rain, so I suppose that means watering will start

Yesterday's outing was probably good  for me, just so tiring, we took the scooter and crutches and only was in the one store which isn't a large store, his 50% sale doesn't start until after the 4th so maybe I'll be more up to looking then, lunch was nice out, but I was ready to get back home and to bed,  This tells me I won't be pushing to get out

Maureen, I know you are so glad to have the colonscopy behind you, it's got to be nearing the time for mine, I have one every 5 years, at one time once a year, my DB had colon cancer.  I hate the prep. gator ade seems to be the choice of fluid here after 2 box of whatever in a frizzy drink,  After the first 32 oz. with gator ade, I have a hard time getting down the last 32 without being sick.

Jo Ann, I think I may have told you when changed phones, I didn't want the smart phone with all the added charges,  I got on verizon's site, found a phone and just purchased it.  If they give you a new phone, it will be the new smart phones and that wasn't what I wanted or needed, I just wanted a good phone.  Good luck

    • Good morning all. How do you like the pic of my backyard? LOL Another scorcher today. I do have yuccas that are blooming now. We will take the girls to story time at the library then not sure what else we will do.

Maureen, I bet you are glad the colonoscopy is over and done with. The doctor must be a good one that can really make such a difference. My prep consisted of a gallon of fluid, which is vile tasting even with the flavor packets. Yours is only half that amount. What a lot of polyps your brother had! He must be in the Guinness book. I have had a few removed, my mother had colo-rectal cancer so I make sure to go as often as they tell me. My DD also had wedding drama, she and her maid of honor had a big fight a few weeks before the wedding and the MOH was out of the wedding. So there were an uneven number of bridesmaids to groomsmen, oh well… You are right about the humidity here, it will come later. It has been very dry; I think that’s why it’s so low.

Vammie, I think DD needs to buy your Barb’s house! LOL We have a Macaroni Grill near us.

I'd better get a move on. Keep cool!

Good morning Sue and everyone to follow thanks for the Fathers Day wishes are day turned out a little different than we expected the 2 OGD made the finals for the softball tournament witch started at 7am and there team took 2nd place but they never got home tell after 9pm Sunday night as it was a playoff tournament. The day end up with YGS, Todd and myself swimming most of the day and a cookout with YGD and DW joining use in a nice restful evening. My Fathers Day surprise was that my Hollyhocks finally bloomed they are a nice purple color hopefully I will beadle to get pictures.

Yesterday was horribly HOT and windy 95º with 25/30 mph winds even the guys putting up the new storage building quite work early just not a nice day to be outside.

DS left yesterday morning flying back to Galveston for 2 days then going to Indiana for 3 days but will be home for the weekend the company so far is going along with the 5 day work week until the unit arrives from Texas then they might go to 7 days a week 12 hours a day this will run into January or February with finish testing taking place sometime in April. Todd is rather down in that by the time it's finished he will spend over a year living out of hotels but on the other hand he is happy that he is still working full time as the company has laid off just about everyone, he is hoping that they will bring some back to work this job he should have a crew of 20 to 25 people.

Lusi I hope it is not to hot when you are here this week looks bad I love your cake picture I think it looks very professional.

I guess I better read all of yesterdays posts I just now realized I was never on yesterday at all wonder what I did all day?

Have a nice day and God bless everyone prayers going out to all that need it.

    Good morning everyone.

Marti...good for you for moving the posts.  Last time I tried, it didn't work....and yet I've done it lots of times in the past.  Glad you were able to get out yesterday....I know the excursion was good for you...if nothing else, it makes you tired enough to sleep!

Jo Ann...I hope you're already on the phone with that person.....keep us posted.

Viny...what a good Fathers' Day you had...even if it wasn't as planned.  I know DS is glad to be working....will he be staying in IN and coming home on weekends?  I can't believe hot hot it is there already....you're about 10º warmer than me right now.

Sue, wish Bonnie and Carl could have a house like Barb's.  It is such a good family home.  Can't wait for it to get on the market.  What did B ever decide about the job interview?  And did they ever get an offer on the house that was agreed upon?  Love the pailhead baby!

Today is a  busy one for me.  First a haircut, then on to town for my Baylor thing.  After that, I rush home to do laundry and then bible study tonight.  The fun part is that I don't have to make lunch...I get that at the Baylor meeting and I'm going out for a quick dinner with Barb before bible study.  The bible study class is being held in the morning AND the evening so I can get today's lesson today instead of having to miss it.

I'd better get busy...have a couple of things to do before I leave.  I'll peek in later.

Good morning.  Landen will be here soon so this will be short.

Jo Ann, the party was just a little grad. party.  2 of Jamie's friends came and then just the family.  She picked the time so it was over before OGD got off work.  They didn't come.

Maureen, so glad your proceedure went well.  I wish I could recover from those that quickly.  I have to have one every 3 yrs. also.  But, when I had it, not only did I have to drink gallons of stuff, I had pills to take also.  I think I'll find a different dr. next time who doesn't give all that.  DS went to the dr. yesterday because he had to have his gout prescript. refilled and they wouldn't do it unless he came in for a checkup.   When the Dr. found out he had just turned 50, he told him he had to have a colonoscopy.  DS was not happy about that .  Big Smile The Dr. also told him that corn syrup causes gout.  I had not heard of that but he cautioned DS to cut that out and said it is in everything...

Sorry I can't visit longer but I must get downstairs and get busy .  The boy will be here any minute.

Good Morning.   Beautiful day out there.   I should cherish it because tomorrow we are about 80 and then in the high 90’s through the weekend.   97 high yesterday and only 76 today, can’t get much better than that.   It is so weird here today, I’m the only one home.   After today, DH only has 3 more days, course, that takes us a week and a half to get through.

I debated whether to eat my oatmeal while reading the paper or getting on the board.   This is what I chose.   I can always read the paper much later when I need some down time.

Jo Ann, at least it sounds like some good communication from the clinic.   Hope it all falls into place.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since your colonoscopy.   I remember you talking about it like it was yesterday.

I think you speak from experience about “thinking you’re feeling fine till you get up to do something”.   I should be more specific – I KNOW you speak from experience.

On the cell phones, that is a dilemma, isn’t it?   We just got new ones and both of us did get the Smart Phones.   Ours is a little bit different situation though, since we got on Kurt’s family plan and also got his 22% discount through the railroad.   But even at that, I don’t know why I need a data package, although maybe once I brave this new world, I will use it.

Marti, at least you got out and realized your limitations.   I think that’s good.   I think it’s so good for the mind and body to be outside or at least in a different space.

Gosh, so many of us have colon cancer in the family.   My mom was 71 at the time she found out, but she should have had a colonoscopy way before then.   She lived for a good 10 yrs after that and didn’t even die from complications from that.  And she had chemo and surgery.   So all 9 of us kids have to be very careful.   Like the doctor said, some of us are polyp producers.

You did well on transferring the posts, just don’t forget next time to type in whose post it is before copying it.   Of course, we can figure out who is talking but nice to have.   I guess we all know Viny wouldn’t be taking the girls to story time.

Sue, that does sound like the perfect house for DD, but long ways for you to go to story time.

I know, what’s with this wedding drama?   So many feelings come out.   In the situation here, fiance handled it with his relative and thought all was good.   Not so, she called in the evening  to unload about past incidences having nothing to do with the wedding.   Oh, well, I guess you find out true feelings.

Viny, I need to plant some Hollyhocks, have never had them.   I’m glad yours finally bloomed.

If I was Todd, I think I’d be a little bummed out too about the upcoming schedule.   That’s hard on a person to work all those hours.   But like you say, he does have a job.   Guess he’d be more bummed out if he didn’t have one.

Verna, your plans for the day sound perfect.   Everything just seemed to fall into place, especially with not having to miss bible study.

Ok, now to decide where to begin with chores.   As usual, it’s easiest to begin outside and take in the morning air and sights.   Love green lawns.   Think I appreciate them more here since we don’t have them in the winter.   Back home, the lawn stayed relatively green all winter.

Gee, no surprise here, Salt Lake City is ranked # 1 place for happy marriages.   Greenville, SC is 2nd.   Course, have to wonder if SLC really is or people just pretend to be.   If you know anything about the religion, you’ll know what I mean.   Once DH got into a conversation with some old guy at Lowe’s over how best to have a happy marriage.   The guy kept telling DH he needed to be LDS to have a happy marriage.   DH kept telling the guy he had a happy marriage without being a member of that faith.   The old guy couldn’t face up to the fact you could be happy and not LDS.

Will be back later to check in.

I could be off line tomorrow or Thursday because we are changing our home phone to Verizon.  Some package we get a discount on and sounds good.   So our phone right now will be cut off probably Thursday and the Verizon man is coming by to help set up whatever needs setting up.  DH wants to be here, so no telling when it will be.   I’m so good with electronic terms (not), so that’s why my terminology is vague.

Maureen, we changed our cell ph. last year from ATT to consumer cellular.  It is much cheaper.  We just didn't use ours that often and don't need a lot of the features offered.  It sure saved us a lot of money.  Speaking of Verizon, I got another of those emails, supposedly from them, telling us we owed over $1900.  That's two times this week I've gotten one.  The first one said I owed $1100.  I tried to send an email to verizon but didn't have a proper address but should really pursue it to let them know what's going on.  I'm sure they are well aware but they probably  want to see if they can figure out where they are actually coming from.

DD was here off and on.  Her washer broke so I told her to come do her laundry here.  She has the big stack set so took it home to dry it.

L.'s daddy got off early so they went golfing.

DH is still not feeling well.  He still has the cough but not like it was.  I can tell though, that he's not back up to par.  I  feel much better but  my lungs still aren't quite right.   The pain is not there but just a feeling...and Jo Ann...I also would like to borrow a bottle of oxygen from Tom.  Wink I just feel like I could use a little more air when I breath.  Maybe because I'm afraid to inhale very deeply because  of the pain I've had the last few days. The meds say it will continue working for several days after you take your last pill so that's good.

Sue, got my fingers X that your DD's house deal goes trough.

I see where Or. has the highest gas prices and S.C. the lowest.......maybe we all ought to relocate to Marti's area.   Oh and I heard on the radio that Hood River is in the running to be the number One river town in the U.S.  More tourists will certainly be on their way.

well, the book I'm reading is so good, I can hardly put it down but people keep coming in my house and expecting me to talk to them so I think I'll go take advantage of the lull and read some more.  Barb

    Good evening friends,

I lost my nice long post. Darn.

It’s been cloudy today in the seventies and getting more humid.

Tomorrow will be in the nineties.

I went for PT this morning. I think I will only need to go once more. The hand and wrist will take time and I will still need to continue doing some strengthening exercises.

I stopped off to visit my DSIL Delia. She was so surprised to see me. She will be ninety nine on the 29th.

This afternoon Janet and I went to Lowes to buy a faucet for the new kitchen sink. They are coming tomorrow to make a template for the countertop. I won’t get that installed until late July.

I wish I could show you the color or explain but I will take pictures.

Yesterday Holley and Uncle Frank came and planted the flowers for me. Hooray

It seems whenever I grumble about something to you all they hear me.  LOL

Next year I pray I will be able to do these things myself. I don’t know how but where there is the will there is a way, right?

Carolyn I received you card, thank you. I am so excited about the trip too. I have so many things to look forward to this year. I just have to stay up on my feet and healthy.

My granddaughter Carrie is getting married on August 25th

She was here the other day and tried her gown on again. It is so beautiful. She needs to have it altered because she has lost about 15 pounds.

I am keeping it here for her until she is ready.

My goodness it is almost seven and I haven’t even had dinner yet. I don’t know what I what anyway, so I will make something quick.

    Have a nice evening   Shirley
