yes Pat....those big jackrabbits are common in west Texas....Big Springs area on westward. AT night they are attracted to the cars' headlights and often hop onto the road where they get hit. They do have HUGE ears!
Did you take time to stop by Balmorhea? I'm doubting it as you got to Lynn's quicker than I expected.

No Verna, we did not stop unless we needed gas or something for us.... potty & food only! We get that way, almost like having blinders on when it comes to seeing the kids.
Now I want to travel a little more at night in AZ, just to see one of these jackrabbits! Hopefully, not to run him over though.

I would have stopped at Balmorhea if I had time. That place sounded and looked awsome. ('scuse me, I wasn't in TX) Verna, we're hotter than you right now and you're an hour ahead of us. It's disgusting, isn't it. Tomorrow will be the last bad one where we start at about 70 degrees. By Tuesday, we will be in the 90's but begin in the low 60's.
This is way unusual for us, should be in mid 80's.
I've decided I can't wear flip flops in the garden, my feet get way too dirty and they develop cracks. I'll put more of Carolyn's lotion on tonight and also A&D ointment.
