Good morning Verna and the others that stop by today... I'm waiting for dh's cousin to drop off a stand he made for our washer & dryer. The stands that you can buy them are too tall. We have a cupboard above the washer & dryer and if I put the washer & dryer on a stand that they sell at the store, they set too high. Dh's cousin was telling dh that he had made a stand for his daughter's washer & dryer; so, we had him custom make one for ours.

I need to go to the grocery store today and mow the lawn. Before I go to the grocery store, I need to figure out what we are doing for the 4th. We are invited to my brother's cabin at the lake and we will probably end up doing that - just need to find out what they would like me to bring.

We will have Brody this weekend. Oldest dgd is playing in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the city. They will stay up there rather than drive back and forth.

PatA ~ You asked about my rhubarb... well, it finally grew; but, only about 1/2 the plant grew. I decided not to use any of it this year and hopefully it will be back to its normal self next year.

Good morning. 

It's cloudy and cooler but will not be raining until tomorrow.  We are going to the city ...finally....been trying to get there for several weeks and I need stuff from Costco.  Also this is the last day for my 30% off at Kohl's. 

Jo Lynn, what lake are you going to for the 4th ?  We need new pictures of Brody so be sure and take some for us.  He is at such a darling age.  So much fun. 

I won't have L. again until Tues.  He is getting so big .  He is having fun learning his new "Word of the Day"  Wed. it was Dew.  He wanted to know why the grass was wet when it wasn't raining .  So I thought that was a good time for him to learn the name for the water on the grass in the early morning.

Good morning Jo Lynn and those to follow.  I was hungry and had to have breakfast as soon as I opened us.

Not much going on here today.  It's a good thing...I'm tired.  Caregiver was late arriving last night...she couldn't find her keys (and still hasn't).  When she finally got here she spent time digging through her purse and all the bags she brings with her instead of helping me get into bed.  So...it was quite late when I finally got to sleep and then she's going out of town for the weekend and was anxious to get home and get packed....so we were up at 6.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to be crabby all day due to not enough sleep. 

Another hot day is store for us so I'll be staying in.  I have plenty to do in the office getting things put up etc.  Think the shredder is going to work overtime today.

Hope Viny is feeling better.  New glasses just might be the answer.

I'll peek in later.

Good morning. I have to make this quick, severe weather on the way real soon. At least it's some rain, which we really need.

I've accomplished my list for today already! I guess I can pack for Wis and then relax. Have a great weekend.

Hi everyone.  My suitcase is out - not opened yet, though.  It is 6:30 pm here, so I still have lots of time.  :-)   I did iron most of the stuff already (Barb - no libation was required! - since I got that turbo steam iron, I have had not reason to libate while ironing).  Still, I don't know why I iron before I pack it all.  Have to re-iron it in Illinois anyway.  You would be proud of me...I have weeded out my clothes to a very small amount this time.  First time ever I have gone anywhere without black pants of some sort.  Mother has Henry the cat who sheds all over, and black is not good.  

When I see how hot it is there, I think I would rather stay here.  I hate hot weather!!!  It is quite pleasantly in the 70s here today.

OK, gotta go face that suitcase.  Take care all..... I don't have regular access to a good internet connection over there, so I will be rather much out of the loop in the coming weeks.  Hope to check in to report now and then, though, even if I might not have time to chat much.  If any big news happens, maybe someone could call?  Please don't worry about any payment for those pouches.  Let's just call it Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday!

Lusi, wishing you a safe restful trip and I do hope weather is nice while you are visiting your family,

I had the cleaner yesterday, not sure I can afford her anymore, twice the price of most, but she did a good  job, just won't be using her often, also took her most of the day, She did indicate she didn't have another house this size, so I'm sure she was overwhelmed.

I had ordered water saving nozzles and they came today, just wish I could get out there and use them.  They are solid brass.  I was so tired of having a nozzle to last a couple season, break or leak.  If anyone is interested the website is

A friend came by to move my trash container back to the yard and someone had put their direct-tv junk (disk & all) in the container and I'm thinking the pick up won't pick up those things and now I have to be concerned about getting someone to get that junk out. irrates me... For anyone who has direct tv, they won't pick up the disk and it's left for you to dispose it.  I'm aggravated that I now need to find someone to remove someone junk

Bet you all can see, it's not my best day so I need to get off here.

Good afternoon everyone got myself tied up with a little tree burning this morning thought it would be a good time to do it being so dry and no wind at all but as luck would have it after burning for about 2 hours a storm came up with strong wind gusts blowing right toward my neighbors wheat field, had to watch it pretty close tell the rain started and the wind died down all is well now.

Hay Lusi I just remembered I need one of the phone poaches LOL just kidding so nice of you to do this for the ones that can use it the front that moved in is keeping the temp. down for right now hope it is nice when you are here.

My table lettuce went to seed while I was laid up and my radishes are so hot I can't eat them guess I will feed it to the rabbits. The butternut squash didn't even come up this year things might be a little thin in the garden this year potatoes are doing really good and the tomatoes look promising.

Good Afternoon!   Getting ready to go grocery shopping, so can't stay on.   I've decided I can't take this heat - think I'll come live with Barb

Good afternoon friends,

It’s very hot here.  very humid.

I spent the morning doing laundry, vacuuming, dusting and making out checks.

I also sorted a bunch of papers and now have lots of shredding to do.

We took down the feeder. I will keep the sock with the thistle for the finches and other small birds. Holley says the squirrels don’t bother with the sock.

She came over this afternoon so we went to the pool.

I bought one of those noodles so I really worked my legs and arms while hanging on.

I felt so refreshed when we came back to my place.

Mo would like to go out walking but the sidewalks are too hot for his paws.

Jo Lynn I hope you have fun with the little one. 

I missed out on the rhubarb this year. My friend usually gives me some so I can make a strawberry rhubarb pie.

Barb I had a 30% coupon too but didn’t try to use it this time.  I had to pay for the counter top this month. My Visa was very high.

I loved the pictures of L. He is getting so big.

I think my keyboard needs new batteries. It is skipping letters.

Lusi, have a safe flight. I hope the weather is nicer when you get here.
