    Hello everyone.

Was up and out early for church...took Kathleen with me as the CrossTimbers blue grass gospel band was playing this morning.  They were wonderful....as usual.  It was a very good service this morning and afterward we went to the mission store there.  I found a throw pillow that perfectly matches the colors in the sunroom and looks perfect on the newly dressed chair.  I need one more pillow for it and already have something in mind....now I just have to find it.  This pillow was marked down from $25 to $15.....and it just happened to be there on a day when I went to the mission store.  That was a "God-thing" for sure!

Met my nail lady for lunch at...NoodleSwing!  And we enjoyed a delicious lunch before coming home to do toenails.  She stopped by Stprouts on the way to the house and picked up some things she needed and got me another container of hummus and some tomatoes.  Hooray...I have no need to get out again today.  The heat is just brutal...you can feel your skin drying out and burning in just a very few minutes.

Well...in six weeks we'll all be sitting at Barb's house visiting.  I just can't wait!  It was so great to meet Kim and what a lovely young woman she is.  I just cannot believe we forgot to look at pics of Ava...something I really wanted to do.  Oh well...perhaps next time.  I do hope she gets to come to Dallas again and we'll plan better too!

Need to read the paper and drink lots more water.....I'll peek in again later.

Tom came in for dinner today...  and took a fall on his bike.  No serious injuries, thank God, just a bruised and scraped elbow and a bruised shoulder, that I'm sure will be more painful tomorrow than it is today.  His bike got a few scratches, which upset him.  I'm  just glad he is okay.

Lusi, I didn't realize that Finland didn't often get the kind of summer storms we get here.  For some reason, I just imagined everyone got them.  I guess not.  You probably never get tornadoes, then, either.  That's certainly a plus.  With traveling here for part of the summer, it must seem like your summer has gone by so quickly, since you'll be back to work next week.  I hope your co workers are all pleasant this year......  I know you enjoy the children, after all, they really are so adorable.

Pat, nice to see your post.  It sounds like you're as dry there as we are here and have to keep up with the watering every day.  We have some scattered thunder storms in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, and if we really get them, maybe the grass will turn green again.  Right now, it's that combination yours is, brown and little patches of green....   What a hot summer we've all had.

Vammie, I can see from your banner just how hot it is there...  104 degrees...  oh, my.....that's really up there.  This summer makes me wish we had a pool like Dsis has...  I never really wanted the upkeep and expense of one, but a hot summer like this one, makes all of that worthwhile.

Carolyn,  the chicken with carrots and prunes, came so good today.  As I said, one of our favorites.  Were you able to get a little rest today?  I hope you did.  The new roof and all of the change you've made in your home, must make it so comfortable now.  I know you were busy taking good care of Sonny for so long, and it's nice for you to be able to have all of these things done, that were put on hold. I hope you have a good evening.

I guess I'll do some reading now that we're finished with dinner, the dishes are done and Tom left for home.  It's a little too cool and breezy outside to sit on the deck and read, right now, so I guess that means I'll stay in , unless I give in and go for a drive to get ice cream, like DH wants to do...  decisions, decisions.... Confused...  oh, why not....  I could  get a baby cone......  I'm always the one saying no about what he wants to do so I guess this would be the perfect time to say yes...  Stick out tongue  lol.  Tom called when he got home.  Knowing him, he'll be polishing out the scratches and trying to fix whatever damage his bike got.

I think we'll be watching more of the Olympics.  See you in the morning....GOOD EVENING Pictures, ImagesJo Ann

Good evening everyone had so much fun last night at the reception and the wedding was great them 2 must have saved all there money over the last 8 years to have all this, they had about 250 guests and they served Prim Rib to everyone plus they had free open bar from 6 to 11 never seen anything like it before. Besides Prim Rib they had Fettuccine Alfredo, baked potatoes, new roasted red potatoes, roasted string beans with slivered almonds, regular salad , mixed raw vegetables and some type of spinach salad that was really good plus 3 kinds of wedding cake white, red and chocolate.

DS whole family was in the wedding wish I had gotten a picture of them all together I just looked at them in wonder all dressed up fit to kill and there all so tall Todd is 6'3” his wife is 5'10” the oldest GD Allison is 6'2” next is Nicole she is 6' and pore little Nicole is only 5'8” but she is only 12 years old so proud of them all.

YGS came over this afternoon and hooked up better speakers on my TV the flat screen TV's have horrible speakers in them really sounds good now.

Love the picture this morning Jo Ann I meant to tell you that the picture with the lone tree and birds is enhanced I have seen the same picture without the birds in it before but still nice thank you for posting them so glad Tom was not hurt today hope he is not to bad tomorrow.

PatA I have been getting some really nice black Raspberries from my plants but the red ones are not doing well, are you getting string beans mine look nice but know beans on them at all the hot weather hit right when they flowered. Are neighbor with the horses and cattle has cut down most of his corn and made it into silage for the animals so much money lost this year feel sorry for them we got a little rain but then it would turn hot and high winds so everything evaporated rather then soak into the ground.

Shirley I must agree with you on your explanation of having a big wedding it really was nice but I always seem to think of what they could have used the money for but then I'm a real tightwad. LOL

Marti are you doing the weather banner the way I told you, do not open the URL just copy and past it in the image window?

Have a nice day and God bless everyone prayers going out to all that need it.

I went to Church today, sure missed the little ones. So used to having Aiden sit there and sing with me. He has such a good voice.

They came home today though. I haven't seen them yet.

Pat, the picture was taken at the Cumberland Mtn. State Park, Crossville, Tennessee.

It is such a gorgeous place, and is on the plateau, so is a little cooler and we had some nice breezes.
Martie, Dawn came just for the reunion and for Brad coming through tomorrow. DSIL

wasn't as happy this time, in fact he didn't want her to leave. But, she had planned for a long time to do this. And, she is gone to her friend's house in McMinnville now. They have been friend's since 3rd. grade.

Jim's student won her fight last night in Kansas City. If any of you want to look her up, her name is Sara McMann. She is a olympic silver medalist in wrestling. Now, she is doing the cage fighting. Also, you can look up Jimmy, the prowler, Fowler. He is a 3rd degree black belt. Weighs 122 lbs.........

I've had a lazy day today. Going to have to get busy in the morning and get laundry done and vacuuming.
Jo Ann, it is nice to get a little bit of things done, esp. before winter time. My Sonny did

not like change as much as I do. He used to tell everybody that when he came home from work he didn't know where he would find his bed.
I, too am glad your son is hurt no more than he was.

Viny, the wedding sounded great. Lots of good food. And good times.

Hope you get some rain soon Vammie.
